Yes your correct Greg about DME. Older instruments in aircraft used DME separate from the other equipment so it was referred to as 12 DME. Its pretty common today to still call it DME. Some ILS have a DME arc to fly as you intercept them. ATC would say fly the 12dme arc not the 12nm arc. Its even labeled on charts as 12DME. Kindof like ILS,VORS and NDBs. We say intercept the ILS.

A TACAN gives you distance as well. On your HSI you will see the distance in the top left of the instrument. Put the course in your HSI. Fly the course until your instrument reads 12 DME. At 12nm from the tacan on the radial it tells you to fly, you will get your next "task". PM me if you get stuck and would like me to walk you through it on teamspeak.

Yeah, I was working on that for hours before I came to you. How in the world did you find that out? I was so stumped at why it wasn't working. My test mission was working fine but my scriptman was a land based one. Good find and thanks for your time looking at it! On another note great documentation you have written up. I also downloaded your test missions and watched your youtube videos. You have really opened up mission editing. I cant wait to try some of these functions.

Hi Speed, Thanks for keeping your scripts updated. I just came back after a long break and its nice to see this has evolved so much! I for the love god can not figure out why my ATIS is not working in this mission. I created a test mission as well and it works in that one but the one I have posted here, it does not work. Everything as far as triggers and script wise is the same. Something is breaking down on me. Could you take a look Speed? Operation Raindrop.miz

Thanks for explaining Speed. I copied all the scripts from original mission and didn't even think about the double quotes. I thought the ( \\\"START\\\", 99, 3) looked funny. I think I will just wait until your done with your next version.

Oh this method is not working for me. I think its because it wont let me rezip the mission. I had this problem before. After I edited the mission to try to see if I could get this to work, it wouldn't let me open it in editor. I think I did the script part right. I just think its when I zipped it back up. I am attempting to fix my other missions now. I finally installed .09 update. Now I just need to clean my monitor after reading your pdf file while drinking a soda. Page 8 turned my monitor into a sticky mess LOL.

Great to hear speed. I have been away for a couple of weeks. Does this mean I will not have to edit all my missions and clients will just have to install a mod now?

Thats great to hear Speed. I have been following your post in the other threads. @Cowboy, The mission will run but the triggers telling you to go to certain areas will not work.

Sorry, maybe with next patch it will be working again. I was going to try to edit it for you but it would of been easier to start from scratch. If you looking for ILS practice you can still do that with this mission.
