  1. Title States the Issue. I am trying to set a take off time for the AI and have the air frames on the parking ramp (Set as Uncontrolled) This use to work but now seems not to work. The AI air frame is set to Uncontrolled In the Trigger Actions Perform Command Action Start is Set In The Triggers 1 Once In Conditions Time More(300) [5Min] In Actions I have tried: Group Activate AI Task Push() AI Task Set() Nothing seems to work any more. I am using the none beta branch. I am sort of ready to give up on mission editing in DCS and nothing advance seems to work not even the little things... Thanks in advance for any feedback.

  3. Ahhh okay... yes I am doing it all wrong sadly... one mode has a folder called main and so did another mod... grrr.. I need to just leave the game alone lol.. Off to do another reisntall.... at some point.. I will get to play DCS again vs spending all this time trying to understand modding lol... So if two different mods have a folder called main do I just rename the folder? Thank you again for your help.
  4. Let me ask this question.... I see that some of the mods ask to replace the entry.lau file along with others... will that mess up the mods if another mod over writes and replaces a mod's lau file?

  6. Wow that is very impressive!!! I am install open.beta to see if I get that dcs version folder... I am going to give this thing one my try... IF I don;t have that folder I gess im out of luck. Thank you for the link. I will read it now
  7. I only have: C:\Users\UserID\Saved Games\DCS There is no version number and there is no Mods sub-directory and there is no aircraft sub-directory... I does this mean that the game will not allow modes? Did Install the correct DCS game or is it that open.beta can only be modded?
  8. The people in that thread stated that he tool does not work unless you have 32 bit. This OvGME tool I tried but that did not make any sense to me sadly... I think I need to just leave the game mod thing alone as it is a bit too complex for me to understand. Its not clear what works and what does not work. THis is a bummer as some of the modes do look cool. Oh well.. I gave it a try and there is nothing wrong with failure. I do hope in the future they make modding easier or just integrate some of these mods into the game stock.

Ha! yeah I am usually able to pick up on things but the lack of clear details in some of the instructions make it worst than QPHY 502 :smartass: As I stated in the post... they do all this amazing work then fall asleep at the controls when it comes to writing the How to Install Instructions... It's like what happened... did you get tired of typing and the most important part... lol... But think you again... I have my fresh reinstall of the game... and will give it one more try...if I fail this time... I will just keep the game in its stock form and just watch video of people that have the mods installed and marvel at the cool add on that I'm too dumb to figure out. LOL.   10. Not to be mean but if I hurt your feeling then I'm sorry that you have soft feelings where a simple word set gives you pain because its negative. As much as I would love your help and any help to simply understand confusing mods that lack clear guidance. I will pass since you seemingly came into this thread just to post some negative no sense about how you feel pained and confused. Other folk here seemed to understand and have offered their help and I appreciate it all. I Bid you good day sir.
  11. Title States it all.. I tried the overgame mod manger and it was confusing and hard to understand... I also tried the other one and it too was hard to understand so I started to manually Install the mods... that was working until it stopped. I tired to install the target range mod and it stated it i needed ta mod by Stuka and noodle ... that was the mod I installed and not matter what I got that error message when loading their Miz file.. Its just too hard to understand... Here is my issue and maybe some one smarter than me can help. So mods state they go into the save game folders while other state they go into the dcs world folder. Both the same game folder and the DCSwold folder seem to have the same info in them so what gives?? Do mods go into the DCS world folder or do they go into the same game folder or do they go into both folders. Also to the people that make these great Mods... you do great work.. why stop the great work when it comes to writing simple clear instruction on how and where install the mods in details. Some of the install instructions have been very hard to follow and written in a very lazy fashion. I know not everyone's native language is not English my darn.. This is the third time that I have uninstalled both DCSwold and DCSWorld Beta because I can't get missions to load and I have duplicate files in my DCS folders both in save games and dscworld... I am sure that can;t be right. I know its user error but still. Clear install directions would be a big plus! I would really like to use the Civil Aircraft Mods The 76 Range Mode the VPC airbase texture mods and any terrain improvement mods. I am doing a re-install of DCS again to start clean... If anyone can help me understand the Mods an directory structure I would appreciate it.! Thanks!
  12. Is there a way to do this for the other modules. It would be nice to have some pilots of colour in the game. I black pilot in the F-16 would be great as well.

  15. I must be doing something wrong... I downloaded some modes and attempted to install them but Nothing shows up in the game.. also when I enable the zip files there are not version numbers at all OvGME Example SU57 0.0.0 Civil_Objects_JR_1.95 0.0.0 MOOSE-master 0.0.0 Config Root Folder is F:\CombaFlightOperations\DCS World OpenBeta Config mods Folder F:\CombaFlightOperations\DCS_MODS I enable the mod... and nothing changes in the game... the add-on objects do not appear... Any thoughts on what my user error is?

  18. Has anyone seen this item show up in their debriefing? In a mission editor mission I made...2 jets I had programmed for low level training work crash into terrain and then there is this honey_mesquite thing listed as crash. Just wondering what that was.

It would be nice to have generic Airfields That we can place on the map especially on the Caucasus map so we can set a place for Ai Planes to take of and land:) These airfields would not need to have function ATC or functional Harden Shelters or even parking spaces... The User placeable Airfields would not need to have all of the options like Static airfields have. Basically Ai Planes placed at this airports have 2 options. Take off and land. They spawn on the runway...and take off and fly their waypoints and if they return to a user placeable airfield, they land there and de-spawn. It seems like a better option for mission builders then just spawning jets in the air.
  20. It would be nice to have some options in this area... I understand that voices would be hard to do for radio comms and localization... But it would be a nice to have where we could change the skin color of the pilot that better models diversity or at the very least a pilot model that that is full covered with gloves and maybe even a turtle neck shirt with mask and visor down with no skin showing at all. Just and Idea.

  22. This is true... But as a bomb truck she would be unmatched... this is now the Role of the F-35 as the 35 will never really see F-16 or F-15E like front line fighting... But as a JDAM carrier the A-7 would be cheaper per unit and just as capable in that role (Bomb Truck) not interdiction strike in a High threat environment.

  24. I try to install the original black shark 1 dvd and the install crashes hard when I click install... The only way out is to reboot the PC as the installer process will not end... even when I try to end process in task manager... Windows 7 64 Ultimate DCS World Beta 1.5 installed Also when I click to lunch the open beta it tries to download an update but then fails with the error /../Appdata/uodate.exe is being used by another process... (something like that)
  25. Thanks for the reply... the mission is a mission that I built. I have not tried any of the stock missions... I have a feeling that something is wrong... (It's been a while since playing the DCS games) but I also notice that when I give a flight an attack waypoint and advance mission options I can't assigned the AI targets. I select attack with gun but There is no option to assign a target list or target on map radius. Has something changed? In the old ME you could select the Map targets you want if I recall... or assign an attack radius.... I don't see any of that stuff... So to recap... this is a custom mission. I have no visible stores nor can I assign the AI targets... Thanks
