  1. That is one of the best movies for this game ever! Great work gang. The model looks great.
  2. Very Cool!
  3. <= 50 Us / 35 Euro Interesting... it's seems that some have put their hard limit at $50us/35Eur0.. This is based only on the few post in this thread. Painting with a big brush. It's more then understandable that a teen low on money would want the next game to be cheaper using the simple "it's an add-on" logic. What about you die-hard so called Hardcore gamers? Is 50/35 your hard limit or would you pay more for what you like? It's a sure bet that some of the answers will contain... the simple if then logic... "If it has my favorite pet feature XYZ then Blah blah blah" But really... Only 50/35 for a multi year development project with a code base like DCS? Regardless of the feature set… It seems like users would be willing to pay much more for a project churning out such positive results.
  4. Su-34 for The DCS
  5. One thing you learn in Viper school is that the jet is not a good off road vehicle. There have been too many times where guys tried to stay with the jet and have it turn over on them. When that happens you get entombed in a nice casket of fuel and chemically melted plexi… Looks like the right wing dug in as well. -
  6. A simple track / replay file that shows the user what the new application can do. No music or FX added. just a simple hunter killer mission recorded from the game. That would be cool. Also the developers would not have to worry about making the demo run with PC's that can't cut it. A video makes it a none issue. -Bones
  7. This is a funny thread!!
  8. DTWD... Give these sounds a try. http://operations808.brinkster.net/CombatChronicles/CombatChronicles.html
  9. Well that's not 100% true... have you seen the Air Guard A-10 project??? The things they made Lock On do were amazing... It shows that this is a very good code base. When you guys get your hands on the next project you will see...
  10. No one on this thread has yet said anything negative about their work... It's very good work. No one is trying to influence anyone... the public will accept it or not accept it. They don't have to defend anything... nothing is being attacked. The thread starter is clearing up the Myths around their work. They could have asked to have the thread locked or just posted their info on a website. It is safe to assume they don't mind public comment on their work. RVE guys... did you intend this to be a comment thread? If not Please forgive the comments.. Do you mind the comments? The comments that Pilotasso has deemed as negatively influential can be deleted if you want.... no big deal just ask.. no biggie... Feel free to PM... that way the thread stays clear of name calling and directives like shut up and get a clue.... and all sorts of other words that have no place on this thread. Thanks
  11. You should stop reading the post... How many ways can it be said that what has been done is great worK??? Maybe there is a disconnect there.???
  12. No, never used the mod because. There is no need. It would do nothing to enhance the gaming experience beyond what the game offers now. (Please understand that is just an opinion... a single opinion nothing more. In no way is that statement true for any of you that have used and enjoyed the mod) The reason for not using the mod is that Lock On as is works great when used with the understanding of what it is the game represents. Does that mean the mod is wrong... no! Does that mean the mod is right? no. It means that the mod is going to be great for those that feel this is a good fix for what ever issues they perceive. Side Note. This mod makes changes today... Tomorrow, A new Group may makes a mod that builds on what the current group has done but changes something they feel needs to be changed and changes something back that the current group's mod changed. For example control surface scheduling. They too will claim they have talked to people and read about data to support their idea of realism.... Whose mode is correct? With RVE and the New mod creators battle it out. Will sever owners be torn between the old mod and the new mod? Because you know there are teams right now working on script changes… Changes that will make something better and more “realistic”. Basically what you end up with in the end. Is a customize application that fits your personal concept of reality. Interpretation and guess work has very little to do with realism that fact should be accepted. And that’s okay. This is a game and it should and will remain that way... If the kids over at ED pick up this mod and add it to the official game then it becomes cannon with in the Lock On world. All will accept it. As for book, data, videos and information... Awesome! Keep reading.. keep up the good work. Knowledge is key. This community is full of smart people with great ideas. The people behind this mod and the mods to come are very smart people. They should be very proud of their creation. This is what makes the Flight Sim community very cool. People’s willingness to help. As for posting for Banter... < 250 post is a very low number bro. So banter is not a catalyst.
  13. Understanding is not the issue sir... agreement that a change is need is the issue that drives this simple opinion... The details that have been shared on this great work open up some interesting possibilities. Not sure how many times it can be said that the mod is a good thing if you feel like a change in the area it addresses is an issue to you. Clearly the 50+ plus people that play with you guys online agree. Many others may not since there are more then 56 users of Lock On that link up.
  14. Bro.. it's not fear... it's being asked to accept someone's idea of realism. Some agree with them some will not. Why is THAT so hard to understand? Maybe that's the better question. (please don't take this or any post in a negative way... the mod is cool, it seems like great work just not in agreement that it adds realism.) What's cool about this mod is that you can use it if you want. And not worry about those that don't. As for flying online... do it all the time with a group of pilots with really good skill sets. Lock ON is a great tool for the kind of work being done. On the server in use the owner see no need to force issues of fairness. Since good tactics don't require a server mods. The mission that are played on the server will not work well with this mod. Most missions use AI so this mod would cause more problems then it fixes in this case. RVE: Again thanks for the great work and support. Don't regard this post or any post sharing a different opinion as a diss or anything negative. -Bones
  15. No... Just saying the points you made were spot on. To the other guys... take it easy... there is no attept to change any minds or points of view here. This is a post about a game... not life and death. The thread starter shared an opinion... the comments made are just opinions, nothing more... not making a statement of fact. Enjoy the mod, it seems like good work...
  16. Red has hit it on the head. GGT your points about nose hot / Fox tactics make sense if this were a discussion about real-life. Many guys don’t play Lock ON or any sim realistically. That’s fact. It has nothing to do with exploits. The most realistic players are the amazing Aero formation teams and off line users. Online guys think they are playing more realistically then everyone else because they feel the act of flying with other humans is playing realistically by default. There is so much more to it then even the best pc game can simulate. To play realistically you have to be realistic about what you are playing. This is not an attack on this or any so called realism mod. Just putting observations out there. With that said, let’s set up common ground by saying that this mod has nothing to with real-life... Let’s agree that combat flight gaming issues have zero to do with real-life. Not saying that can't happen... Black Shark looks like it has crossed over into what can be considered a trainer more so then a game. It looks to be very realistic in its presentation. Much like other Eagle projects) The great thing about this community is the fact that people do know so much. The ones that have shown they understand the limited link between real-life and gaming have really added to this product with their mods. This mod included. But it should be presented more as a fairness mod more so then a realism mod. Now looking at this mod as a fairness mod that changes how the game operates because the owners of Multiplayer servers want things to work in this way makes way more sense then tagging this mod as something that going to add realism. It's also fair to say that adding fairness to one area of the program will have an effect on others. Question: What happens when a player adds an AI wingman to his element while in Multiplayer? In affect that nullifies the mod right? The AI will still have the same capabilities as before correct? So now if the guy that you are doing BVR work against with has an AI wingman and tasks it as the shooter then what? Will there be a new script limiting your ability to add AI to your element? IT seems like this script will also limit how you can react. So in effect you have your hands tied by the server side script that only effects you… seems like an odd thing to do.?? -Bones
  17. AirTito, You are right. People should like this mod if it fixes what they want fixed. It's great work. It puts on display the skills of the mod's creators as well the flexibility of the program. The opinion shared is based on the idea that it changes the way the game operates. Now if the developers say that this type of mod fixes something they feel is broken then all is well. But if they feel like nothing is wrong then what is the mod really fixing? Making two elements more balanced based on what user feel??? That's cool too But Fellas please enjoy the good work. Do not take this in a negative way. It's just one observation.
  18. Bro no diss here...but no member of the combat aviation community is going to share life and death data so lets end that myth now. Also don't get so bent. Just because someone does not agree it's not the end of the world. You like the mod. You should use the mod. One opinion should not have any bearing on your point of view. As for theory, we can compare logbooks any time... Enjoy the mod, GGT.
  19. As said before... thanks to anyone who makes mods. People who take the time to add flavor to a project should be given their due praise. But this mod is one that could hurt the game play. People may break into camps. This could hurt the community. This mod changes things making the game different then the developers intended. This work is based on guess work of classified information which makes it kinda useless to some. But like most things related to combat games where people claim they make mods for the sake of realism... its not the realism that gets affected its a personal sense that something that was not broken has now been fixed... \ Keep up the good work . But this mod is better left as an option for people that agree that's something is not working right.
  20. Can you have multiple Loop Start/End Waypoints? For example A<=====>B------Transit---------A<=====>B Thanks
  21. This mod sounds like a bad Idea.. changing things because a group of people "feel" like something is not right or should be made to do X Y Z is a very bad Idea and kills the integrity of the game. Again.. please note… there is no real publicly available information on missile data. At the same time this mod is great work just because it shows the skill and talent of its creators... To change the things that have been changed with this mod will create problems down the line. For years people have been talking about fairness and making things somewhat level. The developers built the game giving it a balance that makes sense.. Mods like this can fracture that balance causing people to have to make a choice on which realism group to follow. What happens when the Realism group decides they want to change something back and make a change some where else based on what they read out of a book? Let’s say allowing the R-27's to work like they do using the stock code and change the F-15 control config to allow flaps at a higher G... (BTW, you would be surprised at what the FLCS will do to keep a jet configured) Will this new group's mode be a better choice? Or will people just break in to camps and use the mod they like best? It's not about realism... it’s about personal preference... and that’s fine. No real argument here… Just observations. Anyway, good job with the mods and thanks for the support. The community is very appreciative! This post Cost 2 cents.
  22. Oh okay... cool I will check it out... I was not sure what I was looking for.. Looks good!
  23. Sorry but what did you guys see in the screen shot? I may have missed it. Thanks
  24. That is a great looking paint job!
