Set Fuel to 9% the game jet show it still weighs more than a Fully Fueled F15C (that cant be right) Set Fuel to 0% again the F15E game jet shows it weighs as much as a full F15C Assumptions: 1 this is not a bug and in real life these airframes have substantial weight differences 2 this is a bug and the game is calculating base weight of the game jet as having Fuel /Gas in the CFTs and that the game thinks the get is empty (when you play with the game jet (F15E)at 9% you trigger the low fuel warnings. Maybe someone can confim this. The weight issues was seen on first release. I have not kept up with DCS to know if there has been a patch or if the issue still exist. I will try to add some screen shots. If I find the issue is no longer there I will remove this post. Internet infomations shows F15E at Empty weight: 31,700 lb (14,379 kg) Max takeoff weight: 81,000 lb (36,741 kg) Internet Informations shows F15C at Empty weight: 28,000 lb (12,701 kg) Max takeoff weight: 68,000 lb (30,844 kg)

Issue : F16- Radios do not work when At nellis when ownship is set to client. F16 UHF set to tower: 327.00 PTT UHF Radio , Nellis does not show up on the menu F16 Autostart to ensure all systems are on correctly, Same issue. Set F16 To Player Parking hot, Same as above not communication no pilot voice. Make New Mission Set F16 to Autostart or Hot Parking Radios work.

Thanks. Yes I know we could do a thing with the mission editor. But the point was for it to be something special that happened to the map just because. Yes, we can put statics at the Airports to give a base the look of life and make trucks drive around... all in the mission editor. But the programmers can do that for use as well. They have an acurate star chart and Sun/Moon cycle built in the game. So adding a special neat treat for the user based on the clock and calander would be kinda cool. But again thanks for showing us how to do it... that was not the request. The request was to make something neat and special happen on the map should the user setup a night mission the Nevada map on that date during those times... I think some call the easter's Eggs

It would be a Nice To Have (It may already be in the game) But if not... please add a Hidden Feature That if you set the Date and time(21:100) in the Nevada Map, That A short lets say 5 min Fireworks display pops off over the Las Vegas Strip. Have it repeat lets say 4 times randomly between 21hrs and 22hrs. This Fire works show only works when the actual data along with the in-game date is July 4 20xx This means if a user just make s a July 4th mission and the actual date is not the 4th there will be no show. It would be really cool to drive a combine arms ground unit, or even fly a helicopter down to the strip Just an idea

In-Game Scratchpad Mod Available - Works Great In VR!
Boneski replied to Fubarbrickdust's topic in Virtual Reality
Thanks I will give it a try. I do wish people would not use a tool like this get hub thing. It's the most confusing thing I have ever encountered. The directions make it seems like there are files and folders. But thanks I will see if I can make heads or tails out of the source code. -
In-Game Scratchpad Mod Available - Works Great In VR!

Hello All, Can someone tell me how do down load this.. When I got to that bloody awful gethub site... I can never find the download link... I see download source code... is that what we have to get? Do we have to compile the source codes????? Man they make it beyond difficult... Why not clear directions on what to click on and what to download... You would think a download button would be simple! Anyway thanks all -
Some folks online showed me the option in task manager that lets you see you GPU... and there lies the tail. I had to tune dcs to fit with in those specs of the video ram. Have a look My GPU was on fire... blew the pc up... But when I turned the pixel density down from 1.5 to 1 bam .. all my values are in the middle of the graph...my settings are still semi high.. Shadow off sadly... heat blur low sadly. ground textures medium. Game runs smooth even with my spawned moose traffic at Nellis. Lots of stuff going on via the script and the game is smooth in VR now. Hope this help someone. Any questions I will be more than happy to help if I can. the pc is a Ryzen 7 2700 with 32 gigs of ram The GPU is a Nvidia 2060 with 6 gig of ram The headaet is an Reverb 2 Gen 2 Also watched this video to help me get open xr working

Red Flag BFM Gun / Missile Tools and Options

Do you fly on line Droopy? -
lol what is a big newy??? Wait onpen VR is native? Dang I did all that configuration for nothing.. That's the issue I kinda have with DCS now. It's such a massive project it's hard to follow what is current and what Is outdated. When in vr it's just so shaky ... I can't even point the mouse to flip them switches. But when you go external its smooth. I need to try an empty mission. I try to have activity at nellis with automatic flights and commercial flights in the air coming and going via Moose scripting... The other day I attempted to do an instant action in the F16 and I mistakenly failed to change the map to Nellis and it sent me to Crimean map and their was snow in the game. My PC burst into flames and cause a minor disruption in the planets rotation is was so shaky. The PC was a total loss... I know the boys back at the factory are working hard to do their best with the game. So I will cut them some slack and maybe play something else until they get VR ironed out.

The Title Kinda States The POV. I tried following some of the guides which it is hard to know if they are still valid since the game is constantly changing. One question I had was do we users still have to delete these things called shaders?? (I am not sure what shaders are but you see them mentioned in guides with out details on what exactly they are and exactly why we have to delete them. The reasons seem to be lacking. There there is DCS repair does that do this clean up for you? Seems like deleting files the game is looking for s a recipe for disaster and a reinstall headache. But for me with openxr (switched from Steam VR) and dcs with the nivida graphics card and pc set for performance mode the game is a jittery mess of pixels ... a real horror show. I am using mix reality I am using a AMD CPU Ryzen 2700 with a ASUS B430 Pro4 Main Board with 32 Gigs of Ram , The Video Card is a Nvidia 2060 RTX and the VR headset is an HP Reverb 2 Version 2 I would love to know if users have issues as well. Thanks -Bones

Did you ever find some one to play the game with? I have been dying to find someone to play the game with on the regular. I mainly play with the F16 as well. I am tool learning the systems and stuff. I use to be good at dogfighting but I have not engaged in like 15 years so I am no doubt a rusty general at this point. But if you are looking for someone to play the game with let me know. -Bones Also... let me add.. a good way to practices is to make the ownship immortal that way you can reset the fight without having to start over -
I would not mind trying out for the F16 Slot

Is there an alternative to this tool. Its so frustrating some that is so needed has failed. I'm guessing the developer has abandon the project. I tried open track but it jacks up the z axis and things get jittery.

Hi All, Is there a way to edit the pilot of a selected livery ? For example I would like to edit the pilot's skin colour of the Dark Viper. I can't find that Livery anywhere. What I would like to do is create a livery for each jet that I have and change skin colour for a selected livery for each one of the modules I own. My Ultimate goal is to either cover up the actual skin and face colour or change it do something more representative of the player Thanks

What instructions? I can find any directions on how to make this work. All I see is a bunch of fuel tanks... I Guess its broken now.

Well Title kinda states it all. Thought is was me and something I was doing wrong but this lil guys it even hard to fly now for some reason. Any thought or tips would be great. On cold start I wait for the Clutch Sync up and slowly add throttle to full but it blow after a while on the tarmac so I have no idea what could be going wrong or what I am doing wrong.

DCS Controls I am missing something here (Logitech stuff)
Boneski replied to Boneski's topic in General Bugs
Total Hero! Thank you, I will give this a try! -
Hi all I have both A Logictech G13 and a Logitech G600 Mouse. I am very confused. When I click the DCS control setup and go into the mouse column and try to assign a mouse click to a line Item in the mouse column its a no go. If I goto the G13 column and try to assign a g13 command to the G13 column... nothing gets assign. So that leads to the question, Does DCS only recognise Your Keyboard , mouse and joystick. Are all the other controller columns ignored?? Is there a setting I need to set to allow me to assign these other joystick / controllers so they work in dcs?? Thanks!!

I added The Thrunderbirds Livery so that I can setup some statics and nellis... made the Livery Directory to the save game folder as instructed and boom all the block 50's are Thunderbids. So that is a no go for me. Any idea why it would replace all the Block 50's I just renamed the directory so xxxxxx and all of the stock repaints are back. Any ideas? Thanks All! And to the person with the 4 A7's picture. Oh man that looks amazing... I can't want to see that in the DCS game. What an amazing airplane!

Well I down for the editor... I was just thinking of things to strip out. Looking at version 2 of the game it did have mission for you to complete. I the original Armour-Geddon the user task when coming above ground was to find the elements to make the weapon. So you you are correct. No need to limit the game by removing the mission planning element. So let me change the concept and state that instead of the Mission Editor.. it becomes a mission planner allowing the user to make waypoints and stuff like that. Kind of in the same vein as oldschool Rainbow six. Now if they want to make a full fledge Future sim and have it do DCS the way it does DCS... I would be cool with that. DCS with a Future map and Future Hardware Modules would work and we build our own Future wars much like we do in DCS: Present.

DCS: FUTURE DCS Future would be a combat game that used the simulation engine of DCS world to make a standalone multiplayer game where humanity makes it's last stand against an unseen DarkFor that is trying wipeout what remains of humanity. Background for the Concept I will Keep this brief, this game has already existed. Back in the 90's, UK game developer Psygnosis, created and Published Armour-Geddon. DCS is the perfect platform for a Future Combat Game / Sim in the same style of Armor-Geddon. This amazing game was before it's time. This was the Digital Battlefield before it became a thing. Now this IP may not be for sale but, DCS would be a PERFECT Code Base for a version of this game. When I play the amazing DCS: Combined Arms, It takes me back to the playing Armour-Geddon as a Kid. Linking up with a friend via Serial Port Cable doing Co-Op missions to take down the power-grid and finding the research was just the bee's knees. If Interested in the game details please see this link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armour-Geddon / The Map In DCS, a Map could be made that does not have to be of Earth(it could be).... but a map of called Dystopia with population centers huddled around Airbases like they are in Armour-Geddon. DCS's map size is perfect of this type of game. A fixed world with power planets and area where the player can attack and destroy the other sides ability from a resource stand point, to make war. Open Missions with no pre-determined routes or take other then survival. DCS worlds resource simulation, the one currently in the Mission Editor is perfect for this type of thing. Future Hardware That is an Evolution of Current Day Hardware Aircraft Module makers could make future Airframes only limited by a small rules set where the have to remain atmospheric. Not Study Level Models but way off future of the F-16 MiGs and So On. The Concept is that Humans are in a war against the machine AI or whatever dark forces that can be devised as RedFor of DarkFor some Phantom Entity be it machine or man trying to wipe out the World's remaining, United Armed Forces. Resources are limited and research and resource collection allows for the Evolution of the Airframes and other Hardware. Allowing the human's to fight and trying to win. This concept borrows heavily from Armour-Gedden. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/423127327468811624/ This is just a really quick rough Idea. But a game future game grounded by the bounds of physics would be kinda neat. With FC3 type aircraft not needed every switch modeled. No Mission Editor but converting into a Real-TIme Mission Planner, No need to adhere to ultra realism constraints based on real world numbers as there would be an evolution of the hardware's capability as R&D happens within the game. The Concept is in short a reboot of sorts of the Original IP that was really awesome for it's time. Or something similar. Something like this could be an additional revenue stream for the DCS world as well. Just seeing if their are others out there that remember AG and may feel like I do that DCS has all the right stuff to make game like what's being suggested? We Have DCS: PAST, We Have DCS:PRESENT, Now It maybe time to think about DCS:FUTURE. Sorry for Any Typos and errors written in a rush will edit and correct later.
