Is there any good tutorials on how to set this up, I thought it would be a breeze but it doesn't look like it is. I know someone mentioned some good profiles on here, but I have my Saitekx52 set up perfect now and don't want to change anything I don't want to. Do you set up a button to press for speech? I just need a good tutorial on how to set this up and use it. I have also noticed there are 2 versions one for windows XP and the other for win & 64. I'm just wondering why the Windows 7 64 bit version says it doesn't come with Microsoft Speech yet the XP one does? Do I have to get a separate speech program for Windows 7? Yes that happened to me and it took me forever to work it out. So simple in the end.

I just hope we don't get similar up and down FPS when more things are introduced on screen. I would like to see a steady 60FPS without having to dumb everything down. What's the point in more details if we have to set graphic options where we are not going to see those details?

Thanks - Now I just need to know what number and letter to put in the Tacan? I have left the AM at 150mhz, but I don't see anywhere in the editor what tacan number or letter I'm supposed to use.

I did look this up and came across this post by a Guy who I have quoted below. However, I cannot see an option to use a "track-trace orbit" and I don't even know what speed he suggests the tanker to be at. Can someone tell me how to set the tanker in the editor so that I can practice refueling because I don't see anything saying "track-trace orbit" like he has suggested. Also, just wondering what I am supposed to set the Tachan at if the AM frequency is at 150mhz for the tanker, Like where do you find the number and letter to put in there? Thankyou!!

As the title says - Do you have to buy rudder pedals for these chopper Sims? Or could I get away with just using a stick? I ask this because all the videos I see of the chopper pilots (Mainly Huey). Are of people flying around and swaying all over the place, like they cannot hold a straight line.

So, if I understand this correctly, the Anchorpoint, is just another word used for when you have reached your Waypoint or Bullseye, if indeed Bullseye means this? I am finding all this it a little confusing. The trainer doesn't help much by just coming out with all these names as if you know them all already. Would be nice if he explained what they did. Most he says is that you will be using EGI, for the most part before going of on one.

I am just wondering why there are so many navigation modes and will I need to use them all? The trainer doesn't explain this part very well at all, it just briefs over them and doesn't say when to use them. Is there a good video anywhere that explains this better and when to use what? The trainer talks about stir points and anchor points etc, but doesn't say much more about them or what they are used for.

Would you care to explain how? If you are talking about moving my head slightly forwards and then back, I have already explained why I find that doesn't work. I always end up going out of the dead zones and it makes my trackir float about. I tried increasing the dead zone in this instance, but then it is not responsive enough.

I had tried this before, but I found trackir to float about a bit when I do this. In FC3 I used to use the throttle slider to control my zoom, but that is now spoken for because I use it for speed brakes. I'm wondering if I could use one of the rotarys on the saitek to zoom now, is that possible?

I am not entirely sure what you mean by this? What difference will looking down and centering trackir make to stopping the front panel becoming to close up? I did try this but all that did was make my view look up out of the roof when my head was level. I don't think you understand what I meant. Take a look at the first post again and the two pics I uploaded. The first one shows some of the cockpit frame without trackir on and the other with trackir on and centered, but it is to close up for me. I want it to be like the first pic but with trackir on. I hope this explains it better.

I downloaded a profile and I am having problems with the Hotas switch Alt & Hotas switch forward. The Saitek profile I downloaded is supposed to put the speed brake on my Saitek x52 slider, but i cannot get it to work. The only way the speed brakes work is when I use the default controls which is LCtrl B and Lshift B. The guy told me to change these keys to just B & N because that is how he had set the profile up, but this is what I did and it doesn't work.

Found it, it comes under Hotas speed brake doh.

I was looking to map my speed brakes to the slider on my x52 controller, but I don't see the Speed Brake option? All I see under All options is "Speed Brake emer retract". So are the speed brakes named something else or has my game become bugged?

Can someone tell me why I am getting two different views in the cockpit when using trackir? I have uploaded two pics to show one view with trackir off and the other with it on and after I have centered Trackir. I just want trackir to stay like the first pic after I have centered it, instead of been thrown forward towards the front panel like in the second pic. What can I do to stop this happening? Thanks!!

I would also like to know this, but I wish the devs would do something about these views. I find it really annoying sat this close up to the front panel using trackir. I don't want to disable my zoom on trackir, I just want to be able to move a little further back without screwing up all the other views. I also hate the fact I cannot look back at the engines or down at the landing gear. Surely a pilot can see these things. These things need fixing, it was something I noticed straight away when purchasing this Sim.

I hope I am still living when this map is released. I know these things take time, but I wish they could give use some hint about when it's going to be released. I mean, are they just going to just release it in a flash at some point, or are we going to have months of different screen shots before they decide to release it?

So the OP wants to be closer to the HUD? Well from where my view is in the cockpit, if he gets any closer he would be sitting on the nose of the aircraft. I think it's already set to close as it is, but I don't know where abouts a pilot would really be positioned in this aircraft. Would you say the pilot would be further back then in the two pics I uploaded? 1st pick is without trackir and second is with trackir. Which is correct first, second, or neither?

I know it's down to preference, but I was looking to have this looking nice and real. At the moment it looks quit nice around spring time at 8.15pm, but I am wondering if there is a better setting. I find day time a bit bland when it comes to looking at the scenery and the ground textures. However, it seems to make it much more realistic as it get's darker. I might have to try a dawn flight when I get sometime though. Does anyone else only fly when it's darker or is it just me who finds it better? I just hope this doesn't ruin my chances of finding and hitting targets when I eventually get to grips with this Sim.

What does this mean by narrow FOV? I get the feeling like I am to close to the cockpit controls, is this what he means? Also, does it make it better by narrowing it? I also have Trackir that's why I am asking.
