Two different headings to the runway?
Dudester22 replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Where will I find these charts? But all I really want is the correct numbers to dial in. -
Can anyone at any level join the Virtual Aerobatics server? I am learning the game but I am able to ramp start, take off and safely navigate.

Two different headings to the runway?
Dudester22 replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Jeez, it doesn't show up for some reason on a screen shot. Please just start a training mission and choose the landing one. Then click F10 and click on Batumi and look at the heading in the popup box, it says it is 125 and not 130 like the trainer is saying. I also heard that you don't go by whats on the CDU because that is incorrect. Can someone clarify this please? -
I have just finished practicing the ILS landing and I am confused about the heading number I am supposed to dial in on the HIS. Look at the two pictures I have posted below. The trainer tells me to set it to 130, but looking on the map it says it says it is 125. can someone tell me which one it is supposed to be and why are they both different?

So you have time to fly a 30-40 minute mission just to get on target, but you don't have time to set something up in the editor you would like? Seems to me like you don't like the game full stop, if you did you would look at the editor like others have. Did you even try the other campaigns people suggested?

The number 25 seems best setting for Saitek X52 to me, but just one more question about trimming if someone could answer. I have noticed that whenever I start a mission, be it in the air or from the ramp, that A10 always turns to the right and I have to slightly trim it back to the left. Can someone tell me if this is normal or do I have to change another axis or something?
-
Without sounding a bit thick how do I change the curvature of my Y and X on the stick? I am new to flight Sims and while I am picking it up quite quickly these things are new to me.
-
No I am not saying this far from it, but what do you expect? At the end of the day this is a game which also simulates real aircraft. I know I wouldn't want to be sat in the cockpit for over 1 hour twiddling my thumbs until I reached any action. You already said you were bored with the same scenario, so I'm not sure how you would feel sat in the cockpit for any length of time doing nothing. Atleast you get to the action a lot quicker instead of sat in a cockpit waiting hours to do the same boring scenario as you put it.

Same Warzone? Unless it's a World War, then that is precisely why it's called a WarZone, because it's around an area of the map. You can also make your own missions in the editor.

It's not as dramatic as that for me, but the trimming for me isn't good enough with the Saitek x 52, and it just makes an air to air refuel so much harder. I know some people can do it, but I tried for 4 hours solid and no joy. While I was near enough I just couldn't get it to latch on. What's trim like on the Warthog Hotas?

where can I get these voice input commands?
Dudester22 replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
That maybe so, but I have a problem with speedbrakes set on the Saitek x52 and I cannot put it anywhere else. I lost my controls settings using the slider at times and it has been mentioned that this is a bug. The next best thing I could think of was to use speech instead. How come you don't just have voice activation on? That way you don't have to press a button at all in order to say your commands. -
I don't want to derail the thread, but I also have a question about trim and it is on the same lines. I have recently tried refueling using air to air, but for the life of me I cannot hold the plane still. I gave up in the end because while I can hold it reasonably still, I feel an air to air refuel requires you to hold it still and also hold it right on the dot. I also have a Saitek x52 and I read somewhere that you have to change some files in the game to get it to work properly. Without doing this I read that the Saitek x52 just doesn't hold in trim like it's supposed to do.

I have got it working using voice activation and I am using that fish guys profile. However, I wanted to be able to control my speed brakes like the guys whose video I have posted below. Can someone tell me how he does this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3enVjEtwL7A -
Did you use the torrent option because it is alot faster if you have got a good connection. I always opt to download from torrent.

That's why I just bought the Huey, the P-51D, and Ka-050. I already bought A10C and FC3 a few weeks ago, but couldn't resist the sale even though I may never get chance to fly the helos. To much time is been spent learning the A10C which I love. Been new to flight sims I have a lot to learn but that's part of the fun for me. Will be so pleased when the new terrain is out cannot wait for that., -
What sky was Razzbaz using in FSX?
-
Yes all working fine now with some good help. Now I just have to learn all the other stuff lol. Cheers!!

Here is the track to see what I am doing wrong. startup.trk

I have uncaged the altitude indicator first, I uncage it like it tells you to in the training mission. I have done exactly what the training mission tells you to do from ramp start. I went through the training mission again to see if I had missed anything and it turns off in the training mission. However, as soon as I do ramp start from the create fast mission it won't switch off untill I am in the air for a few minutes. Are you talking about the auto trim on the left side because I have also switched those 4 switches forwards just like it says in the training mission. Should I make a track file and upload it here?
-
I do everything from the training mission. The only time EAC starts to work is a few minutes after I have am in the air, it's then I am able to switch it without it popping back. Any ideas why I am able to do it then and not before takeoff?

I don't see a voice activated command, all I see is Default, Toggle and Arm. Which one of those using voice activation? -

I read what everyone has said but for some reason I cannot get this to work. I downloaded and installed the fish profile but when I press LCTRL = O in game and say anything like Air traffic controls etc... Nothing works. I tested it in the builder and it works so what am I doing wrong? -
I'm a bit confused about the latest news. How can you charge for something you have already added? version 1.2.5. Added advanced Flight Model (AFM) for the A-10A. Then this later in the post. Later this year, we will offer: A-10A: DCS Flaming Cliffs Su-25: DCS Flaming Cliffs F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs Su-27: DCS Flaming Cliffs We have not yet come to a decision regarding the availability of the new advanced flight models to the FC3 aircraft. While there is discussion of making this available as an FC3 upgrade at a lower cost than the full module, I can say with confidence that they will not be made available for free given the large time and financial investment. When a final decision is made we will make an announcement.

I'll try this because no matter what I am also unable to switch it on.
