One base station works fine for DCS and other Flight Sims....If you play First Person Shooters and games where you move around alot you might need two.

Hello Mark.I've been using my 8KX in DCS for a few yrs with no issues and tons of enjoyment.For Me the Clarity is Amazing and The FOV is incredibly immersive.Also as you may already know if you buy a Pimax HDM now you'll receive Full value of that purchase towards Pimax's New Reality 12KQled slated for release late this yr.

Question for you VR users who use mouse buttons on your throttle for convenience….will you be able to map mouse/scroll wheel without interfering with any F-16 throttle functionality?…I’m not familiar with WinWing software or adaptability so apologies if this seems like a stupid question. The throttle looks superb,I also like the fact I have the option to mount a Helo Collective grip as well as F/A-18 grip on same Orion base.

Anytime I'm having problems with a input device I always check in my control panel first to see if it's recognized by Windows/PC.I test buttons etc. Then I look into the device software if I don't find a issue there first.

I totally agree…My Wife and I recently cancelled a trip to Mexico…not because We’re afraid of getting sick(we decided to drive to Florida instead)but because we are afraid of one of us testing positive and not being allowed back in the country…..or our flight just being cancelled because of lack of crew to fly/serve the airline?…..Strange times indeed.

Hello.What Speed are you running your CPU at? This can be a big bottleneck in DCS/VR.I would first select The VR preset in the game menu and slowly/test/play with higher settings till you reach a good balance, Also ck out this vid as a starting point with Pitool settings...as every PC is different along with user preferences finding a good DCS VR Experience is more a Balancing act than anything.

I'm sorry...I don't use hand tracking and I have not tried this Beta version.....I just got DCS up and running on a new rig and my 8kx is working flawlessly....I do not want to change a thing"If it ain't broke...don't fix it"

Some info has emerged Pimax 12K QLED Trade-In Program Trade-in Value and which headsets are eligible: Any Existing Pimax headset can be traded-in. Trade-in Value is what you actually paid for only the headset itself. If the audio strap came pre-installed the price with the audio is used. No accessories can be traded-in. Only 1 headset can be traded per transaction. There is a Limit 1 12K QLED headset per customer. Value cannot be greater than the MSRP of the headset. Required Information to qualify: You must have proof of purchase that contains the price you paid, where you bought it and the date. Yikes!!! I love their Stuff...I have/use R3 Lightning Base and F16/F18 Grips,,,,but there's no way I can justify a purchase at that price.

Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling https://devblogs.microsoft.com/directx/hardware-accelerated-gpu-scheduling/ I believe it's only in Windows 11? but I could be wrong I'm having a related issue since switching to a new rig.... 12900K 32Gigs Ram 3800ti Windows 11 ....I'm using a Pimax 8kx witch I've had for a few yrs. When I installed DCS on new pc and got hardware running I noticed a tearing of the screen and Shadowing effect...similar to what used to happen when I used trk ir and didn't select vsync, before VR I tried all kinds of different settings in Pitool.Steam VR and DCS but nothing seems to completely get rid of it until I alt/tab...and then it's gone. I have managed to get DCS somewhat playable in VR if I reduce Pixel Density to 0.7 and raise my resolution in Steam VR to 150% I tried turning off HAGS in Windows but it didn't help.....I've tried othe games in VR and didn't get this issue.Any helpor Ideas would be Great.Thank You.

Hello Everest,Funny You should mention this now...as I'm currently switching over to a new rig...my former rig was a 8700k OC to 4.2GHz...32GB Ram 2080ti this rig ran 8kx nicely on Medium/High settings...I think with that 3080ti you'd be fine
