That is why I started making copies and did the painting tutorial. Unfortunately I am not planning on making a run any time soon working 52 hours a week. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=91929 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=91400

Now that looks fantastic!! great Job.

I am not sure what you mean by down in the enclosure? I would make the panels with as the real ones are with reliefs for the nuts and a pcb for the back that would have LEDs surface mounted on it.
-
this is what the real one looks like. If you can limit the amount of light bleed around the buttons it makes a huge difference. In viewing the panel.

Here is two non working ARU2B/A simulator models. I would not go over $125.00 each on the offer. http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEAR-SEIGLER-ATTITUDE-INDICATOR-ARU-2B-A-1784163-901-desk-art-man-cave-cockpit-/232088160269?hash=item360988480d:g:hB4AAOSw9eVXUZku

You have rambled on a bit with the personal bit. We have some thing on common I really don't understand you as well. Time now for my first cup of the day and work so I'll get back to you and answer that question. Hum I don't see how your post is constructive in any way really just a rant. It is just your opinion and every one has one and most stink. If so many support your point of view I expect your rep to explode from 12 points in the next several seconds . I am curious as to why you would think that a single statement "CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans." would be angry or Arrogant is it a simple statement of fact you can spend the money and get a cnc or laser but with carefully planing a complete cockpit. The sig is a warning and a reminder to those that want and have purchased CNC equipment that think it will do all of the work. It just does not work that way I have completed a huge amount of work and rework. that i have shard with some but have no intention of giving away fro free on the form. I actually offered to collaborate with members that have CNC equipment to manufacture the complete back lit and back plates for the A-10 all of the deals fell through for some reason or another. I have supplied countless home pit builders that have no intention of making items for sale to support there cockpit building or anything else. So your judgement of me with out knowing me or dealing with me but solely on my post here and how you may interpret them well it sounds a bit ironic to me as well as many others.

Good looking Start you have there!!!

Hum i guess they all left for the winter.

mrwell thanks for the input I just found my estimate of over $1000.00 for all the cards to run an A-10C pit from him. I put it together before I left VP. Just out of curiosity how many guys are building a replica pit? I am not making any runs or products or inventing any full automated production system just curious.

well i guess not ah well back to work

You can find switches for the A-10C from $2.00 each and up. I know a member that just purchased 5 Mag switches for under $20.00 for all 5. You need to know what to look for Yes there is a switch list for the A-10 C with part numbers. educate your self on the parts number you will be surprised how reasonable you can find mil surplus parts.

Everyone has done something for the first time so no problem glad to help.

Why is it the Scotts say I am not getting in to some thing and then. There ya go jumping in feet first? your question was? "how come I have lost interest in it" I have not i have just lost the interest in posting about it here.

Once again your going off in to another discussion bring up your side of of past things instead of solving the issued at hand. I stated your *CDU* had SWAG. As far as i remember you are using Lar's panel designs witch he gave up for free witch are based on his calculations (SWAG). You have gone ballistic and imply accurate distentions are all over the net prove it post it or its all bs like most or you yap yap yap.

No sarcasm intended just a statement of fact. I don't work on prototypes (an original or first model of something from which other forms are copied or developed) I have original items i some times copy with different techniques.
-
Hegykc I understand that English is not your first language and the difficulty translating it has cause you a lot of misunderstandings. So how you could get that i was being sarcastic or mocking your version of an A-10 C CDU by asking a question , is well interesting. You did not specify what type of contribution one could make to get their free item "P.S. Free CDU's for anyone making a contribution, including the original poster of course. " As far as I know I can still expect a free grip but then again you do make conflicting statements all of the time. Such as this complete false statement "I know you are working on your own CDU, along with the rest of the simpit products " I have never offered to make a CDU. I don't intend to duplicate mine yes it is out of a simulator. The cost would be close to other that make them in the $1000.00 range and with you all ways stating that you will make every thing dirt cheep well it is not worth my time or an investment in equipment to make 1to 1 replicas of the CDU with the small number of cockpit builders making A-10Cs. At this time do to a complete lack of interest in the A-10 pit I have not offered any parts in the last 6 months. What do you mean by prototypes ?
-
not all of his parts are "exact replica cockpit parts" there is some SWAG (scientific wild-ass guess ) in there as well
-
Can you post a better picture of the CDU so I can make contribution so I can get a free CDU with my free F18 grip?
-
Use a couple of counter sunk screws they will be flush with the front surface of the aluminum back plate. So then you would insert the two screws from the face of the back plate put the switch on the back of the plate a couple of flat washers then two locking washers one for each screw then screw on a nut for each.

Looks great welcome to the nut house of pit building your very luck there has been quite a bit of Huey control panels on eBay. You could end up with a complete cockpit for a very reasonable price with a bit of work. If you choose to go that route. What you have all ready accomplish looks like a lot of fun to fly as it is. Great job thansk for posting:thumbup:
