  1. Looks great!!! I wish you all the best for your Memorial Day weekend.
  2. Hum I take it this is directed at me so I will answer you this time. It appeared to me that RK is working on a replica or near replica. He seams like a nice guy and so I was trying to help him out with his home build.
  3. No Burns Pre refers to before the AnArc 210 upgrade in the A10c that added sat comms to the aircraft. Post or after the radio upgrade. There is no reason to have a toggle marked Sat in the A10C suite3 configuration. The radio and it corresponding antenna have not yet been installed.
  4. Your welcome hope it works out for you
  5. Well Mr Burns because it is obviously a combination of pre & post AN/ARC 210 installation labels on one panel.
  6. You may want to research the ANTENNA SELECT PANEL
  7. It depends on the panels and the type of switch. Toggles switch holes are painted. Rotaries, potentiometer or encoders The hole is painted but the area around the hole may be a complete circle or just a portion. The area may all so be clear or white. The Intercoms panel with its push pull potentiometer would be the only panel I know of that the hole is the light source for the specific switch knob.
  8. Ah so true but I don't use the ignore list takes the fun out of actually ignoring spiteful old farts.
  9. You need to know that the A10C Suite is in his pictures is a different set up than the cockpit in DCS an A-10C suite 3 with several different panels and labels on some panels.
  10. Buttons are 1.3 mm extended from the front the face of the display is countersunk 2 mm from the face of the panel I see you have 4 screws in the face of the panel and the hole for the one screw open on the real panel there are four screws in from the back of the Aluminum back plate.
  11. I have only seen the panel with yellow on it on the photo etch site the picture is no longer on the site that I can find here is a copy I have. Sounds great on the buttons I can't remember off the top of my head but I can check after work if I remember.
  12. Romeokilo that is one of the best looking EWMU (CMSP) panels I have seen. Congratulations on making a very near replica once you make the clear circle for the knob back lighting and correct the labeling on the first systems switch from NWS to the correct MWS I have attache a reference pic. I am sure no one will be able to tell the difference between your panel and the real thing. Great work!!!
  13. sounds like a card to upgrade a complete system for.
  14. Hey don't be haters he probably still tells knock knock jokes.
  15. 2500 Rounds Chipcast Productions put this on the tube and it rocks... no really it rocks... look at the G meter!!! [ame] [/ame]
  16. zahry looks great i hope to some day get one from you.
  17. Good guess but no the black strips are only on the left side of the cockpit as the pilot sits in it. As far as I can remember they are ladder placement mark for pilot rescue. you may find some thing else in [ame]http://www.oldwings.nl/content/o0/USAF_TechOrder_TO_1-1-4.pdf[/ame]
  18. Thanks:thumbup:
  19. Ya missed the point the hard core has to do with the building and not the flying. There is more to a replica pit than real buttons. Yes I know your very capable of building a real replica pit and are well aware of the various parts as i posted it all comes down to what the builder wants to do and the experience he wants. I never thought I would say it but I agree with Anton his explanation pretty well sums it up.
  20. There will be cockpits and there will be VR that is why there are separate threads fro each. Like the title say there is Home cockpits ( Hardcore simming) and there is VR It just depends on what the user wants.
  21. The switch list I have is the same as what i worked on with Sheppard your best bet is to just Down load his updated work and check out the A-10 C Model and how it is laied out. http://www.viperpits.org/smf/index.php/topic,10101.0.html
  22. A bit surprised your lecturing the choir here. Perhaps you misunderstood the comparison was specifically to cost between the units as stated.with out the extended explanation. In the end you are correct it all comes down to the amount of time one is willing to spend and wait
  23. i did a switch list i will see if i can find it. I all so had shepherd do a estimate for the a-10C with his cards his suggestion of a card for each control came in at about $1000.00 abit much even cutting things way back his system was in the $800.00 range. This is way over priced considering what ardinos cost and the guys working on DCS Bios
  24. Lynx congratulations on releasing your first version of your Main Instrument Panel (MIP) and Glare Shield plans. I know first hand the countless hours of working on them the time that these have cost you. I could say how great they look! We know that looks on this kind of work is secondary it all comes down to how it all fits together. The precision of the plans I hope you have achieved this !! You have had a very difficult time gathering your information and your being very gracious in sharing the plans with the limited community here. Once again congratulations on your accomplishment.
  25. How much are you talking about spending? How realistic of a pit do you want? have you checked out Hans instructions? There other possibilities than having a massive wooden pit cut with CNC.
