Found this.... Advancing the throttles from OFF to IDLE (during engine start) opens the engine fuel control shutoff valves and activates engine ignition. Finger lifts, on the front of each throttle, must be raised to place the throttles OFF. With weight on the wheels, launch bar retracted and the arresting hook UP or with weight off the wheels, afterburner operation is initiated by advancing the throttles through the MIL detent gates into MAX. On the ground, an afterburner lockout system helps guard against inadvertent afterburner selection. With weight on the wheels and launch bar extended or the arresting hook DOWN, the afterburner lockout extends and the finger lifts must be raised or a force of approximately 32 pounds must be applied before the throttles can be moved to MAX. A retractable inflight IDLE stop extends with weight off the wheels and provides a higher IDLE rpm and reduced acceleration time to MIL. What I gather from the above is that the force required to enter AB with weight off wheels is considerably less then weight on wheels.....also no need to be smart!

If they are disengaged during flight, what stops you from shutting the engines down??
-
What is conflicting? The real hornet has fingers lifts, no ifs or buts... 1. Lift to move from Idle Cutoff to Idle and back 2. Lift or push through to enter A/B

Well to answer your first post....there is no better head tracker then TrackIr. Jury rig all the PS camera's and stick on clips you like, TrackIr is pretty much on top of the pile. The TrackIr camera is very light with the mount being extremely adaptable. It will fit your narrow monitor bezel. Oh and you do get what you pay for! -
I'm betting next week....after the National holiday

This will be locked shortly as it is against the rules to talk about other sims. PM me and I'll see if I can help.

Supercarrier Mini Updates? progress?
MustangSally replied to Legendofdino's topic in DCS: Supercarrier
I'd just like to see an update? The last was months ago!! -
You have to ask the ground crew for installation
-
DCS Bios is great but the install routine leaves a lot to be desired!

Before you get into an aircraft that's hot (engines running) ensure the following... Both left and right Gen are on Batt on Throttle out of Idle cutoff Ground power and and Ext power switches should be auto/off
-
Are your Generator switches (Winwing panel) on?
-
Go through the 'Start Up' tutorial again and check you haven't missed something? Are both your left and right generators on prior to start? Start right engine first, left and right DDI to day, Hud BRT knob CW and AMPCD Brt knob CW
-
You set idle cutoff for both throttles as per this post...last picture. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4500927&postcount=19 The finger lifts don't register any button presses when you go to A/B

What is your Windows resolution? If you are trying to run DCS in fullscreen (in options) it should not matter what res Windows is running. On the other hand if you are trying to run DCS in windowed mode, ensure that that Windows is running in the same resolution.

I just move them out of habit to ensure that DCS picks them up prior to start. Also in options there is a setting to detect your throttle.....something like that. Not at my Sim pc at the moment. Don't forget to setup your A/B detent
