Yeah its shame the author doesn't seem to support it, at least when it comes to documentation, considering the software itself is amazing. The instructions on his site are worthless. In the end I found (or was told about ) a Youtube video that at least got me started and there is a thread on how to setup lua files for multi monitor and MCFD's. So it will take some learning and trail an error. In the end I abandoned it except for MCFD's (and only while training) and even now I'm thinking of just going back to zooming in to read them instead of using Helios.

Whenever I had to setup a new stick I found it much better to do it slowly and not use someone's else setup. Its just made one more thing you have to learn, on top of the sim, and since it was someone's else it sometimes felt totally unnatural to me which made it hard to learn and remember. . What I would do is start using the sim and and as I found functions I needed I added them to the stick. It's build as you go/learn but you'll remember it easier since you add the ones you find to be important. (At least I do) There is no need to try and set it up all at once do it as you learn the sim and I think you'll find in the end you will remember it easier and it'll be the way you like it.:joystick:

I would love to give it a try. I work 3rd shifts and whenever I try to find players online they are all asleep. I could play some most nights from 9 or 10 pm est m thru fri til dawn. You might have to help me out a little but l can bomb crap and shoot mavs pretty good but still need to work on some things like avoiding missiles and those pesky AAA guns.

The Video would be a hell if a lot more helpful if they told you what the heck they were doing. :doh:

or Right Win+Home:thumbup: You can learn the fancy pants way later. :joystick: You may want to read up on Take offs..they can be a little tricky the first time. You could also start missions in the air and skip all that start up and take off stuff so saying its useless is a little mind boggling.

I didn't say they weren't going to try but sending out SDK's is a long way from it "taking off" and becoming popular. It looks cool but I"d like to see how well it really works, how much it really cost and how much support it really gets. And I don't think integrating any new tech into a software product that probably has a 1,000,000+ lines of code easy and at this point I can't see ED doing it unless they get paid for it. But hey I've beeen wrong before.

I think he thinks that will be competition for the TIR and will drive the price down. I'm not so sure it will as they really don't seem to be the same thing and the O.R. may not even get support or "take off". even if it does it isn't going to be anytime soon.

Well you are wrong it is that good. But to each his own no problem I can certainly see how the price can make people think that, even I did. But I have to say when researching the TM WH it was the only PC device EVER that got universal praise. (unlike their Cougar which got the opposite praise) The only complaint came from people that had the rare failure and had to send it to TM because apparently TM support sucks ass and since it weighs a ton it's very expensive to ship. (Although they will pay you back for the shipping) Unless this thing rust out this JS will last me until I rust out or die.:D the x52 is a nice option but compared to the WH its a cheap plastic toy. If it works for you that's cool but the WH is in a class by itself and IMO is worth the money. I bet they'd sell a ton of them though if the were 250.00. Lets see.... a ton of TM WH HOTAS is like 14 sticks, these things are heavy!:P Seriously they could corner the flight sim market if they sold for 250.00.

There is no doubt they have MAJOR problems in their Support department. It took over 2 weeks for them to respond to an eStore problem (you know the store where they make their money from) at that point they asked me if a refund would be ok. So instead of just issuing a refund and be done they took 3 weeks more and I only got the refund when I asked a Mod here to help out. So you have some more waiting.:mad: ED really needs to understand how IMPORTANT GOOD Customer service is. Good Customer service can make a customer a customer for life. Bad Customer service can make a customer an X customer. And taking weeks to answer support question especially ones that have to do with Sales is not only losing them business but customers.

The amazing thing about that "bundle" is that the software that ties it all together and makes the whole experience possible is sooo inexpensive. A DCS Tornado would be a wonderful thing.

Look save up 10 bucks a month and treat yourself to the bees knees I was you, had a 52pro and I'm a little tight with the wallet and when I bought it I was like damnnn this was expensive......
