Don't confuse the guy right after we all said it was a piece of cake! :-). Just install it anywhere it will work fine or better yet just use the default install path to keep it simple. Unless you try installing it in some hidden system folder win 7 isn't going to care one bit. So unless the installer was written by a baffoon the installer isn't go to put it somewhere it shouldn't go.

It is also a piece of cake to setup and the default profiles will work fine so other than turning it on and putting it on your head , and I assume you can find your head, you will have no problem. Once you get used to it you can mess around with fine tuning it if you feel the need. The x52 though will take some work to get it the way you like though..

I was wondering what SAS did. All I knew until this post was that I needed to turn it on the get the warning light to go off during start up :-) thanks!

You can get a copy on lulu but the color version is 200.00 the black and White version is only 40 though.

Welll that was their plan when they made the Cougar, that the stick could be replaced, but they made a completely new hotas anyways. But after seeing what a fail the TMC was I don't blame them for starting over. At least they did it right the second time. I guess we'll see.

ED needs to work on this. I was in a 4 ship on the runway and I moved a little before I stopped. This apparently makes your wing men take off. The one to my right takes off, no problem. Then about 30 seconds later the guy behind me goes "rolling" and drives up my ass and kills us both. I was charged with fratricide. WTF? Never mind the fact the idiot thought he could takeoff with me in front of him but why was I at fault? Oh well it was a nice explosion!

Great stuff and very simple once you understand it. I could do just about everything in 10 except find targets on missions since I hadn't figured out the CDU offset. Now I'm a hunter killer from the sky! Thanks!

You really should convert it to the DCS version. Its free and will allow you keep the Steam version but give you all the compatiblity of DCS World and all its modules. Once you do that anyone that has any DCS Madule can play online with you.

Not 100% sure on #2 but I think I saw somewhere that you have enter the leading zero. I have yet to figure out how to do it myself so you may not want to listen to me. :pilotfly:

Yeah I'd like to know why some things are un-mappable across the board. Sometime some of the keyboards, throttle or JS have un-mappable options. A-10c is the worse but all there stuff seems to have options that are completely un mappable in the options screen. for example "Enable exploration mode" in P-51 is unmappable to any device and I want to use whatever it is damn it! :D Seriously though There are lots of free buttons that a-10 won't let you use.

Also do a search for "a-10c graphical hotas" and you'll get a nice graphic you can print out. Don't forget to us YouTube there are a number of great videos there. One series is done by a real a10 pilot and does complete mission from start-up to landing, very cool to see him do all this stuff like its second nature and you never hear him say "hmmm I can do that in the real plane why not here" He finds everything he would expect to find where he expects to find it. This is the guy or channel 4023446 oh and its also nice to see he also misses targets :D There are others that do weapons only, very helpful.

Because once you learn ED's deep sims like a-10c you'll be bored with FC3. Not to mention you'll be trying to click stuff in the FC3 cockpits only to find you can't click nut'en. :(:) They're fun for a quick easy spin but for real fun ,or what we nuts feel is fun, stick with their Advanced Flight Model study simulations. I have all their stuff but almost never fire up the FC series unless I just want to watch the f15 do low level fly byes and listen to it break the sound barrier.
