  1. This pretty much sums it up. All the specs are on the side of the stick itself, you can install uneven speed sticks but it will only be as fast as the slowest stick. Note that sticks have to be equal in size in pairs, for example a motherboard with 4 duel-channel slots, red-black-red-black, the red have to be equal size as do the black. Getting the timings right on uneven size sticks can be very tricky and it will always downclock to the slowest speed so go with the above to save some trouble.
  2. Doesn't matter what the propulsion is if you don't use the missile right. This is how Chuck Norris does it:
  3. And given infinite time it will be infinitely small I think I like this trend
  4. If I throw this beer can at someone it would be a missile. Some propane and it would be a rocket, mmmm science.
  5. What happened here? First 6 posts had the answer and now we're on page 3? Oh it's friday :music_whistling:
  6. Oh snap
  7. Semantics. Anything with rocket propulsion is considered a rocket. Any projectile (except a bullet) launched through the air intended for a target is a missile, be it arrow, spear or rocket. I.E. a cruise missile with a jet engine is not a rocket, and the rockets used in the space programme were not missiles.
  8. Only time I ever use the rudder is when lining up an attack run or when taxiing. One (unconventional outside gliders) use of the rudder I sometimes/rarely do is a "slip", where an input of yaw is applied but a roll is also applied to force the frame in the opposite direction. The result is that your nose is pointing away from your actual heading. This gets very hard to control at extreme angles but the increased drag reduces airspeed more than speedbrakes would allow.
  9. Reverse exponential scale? What exactly will be considered standard attire in 2990 or 3990? Oh dear, forget I ever said anything
  10. I used to be a like you but then I took amazing inspiring courage to my life
  11. It's getting integrated with DCS: World with the upcoming 1.1.2.1 patch. Changelist: Support with DCS: World added Fixed crash when using spoon to eat syrup Added use of chopsticks Added Canadian Maple Syrup Added scalability for Canadian Maple Syrup Fixed missing texture for German Pannenkoek New background Fixed rare instance where forks would render at the wrong depth Adjusted AI for MiG-21 and Su-25T
  12. Well now that that's sorted, I'm in a room with no metal objects except for two iron rods. One of them is a magnet, how can I identify which one is which?
  13. CBU-87/103s are good for medium-soft targets like trucks, infantry, and other vehicles. CBU-97/105s are excellent at taking out heavier targets like tanks but also take out anything with a heat signature. Note that the skeet dispensers are parachuted and susceptible to wind, should still cover a large area.
  14. ...buy it online for American prices
  15. Screw silent running, guys, the subs in this war has a stealth mode. :bye: I wonder what other modes they have.
  16. I flew using the keyboard to control the view
  17. Strange, as I need to pull both pedals up to taxi properly. My landing just now was absolutely horrible and I ended up sideways, but that's just me getting used to having a rudder The TIR is amazing! It's hard to believe now after a few missions that I ever flew without it
  18. Any idea what's going on with that? I have to put my feet around the pedals and lift them up in order to completely disengage brakes, even though I've set them up like this
  19. Make sure CDU INS alignment is at T= 4.0 0.8 Hit NAV mode on CDU Make sure all 4 SAS switches on Set nav mode to EGI Enable EAC
  20. Oh, no it's not the main rudder control (though, that centre is a bit annoying when you mention it...) but the toe brakes :)
  21. Pause the TIR, yeah that should work nicely  I figured I needed to invert when I was "stuck" on the runway, when I hit the brakes it felt like I was hitting the gas pedal :D When depressed the rudders look like this: Where exactly the dot ends up after I release the pedal is a bit random but always in the lower 1/5th area, so a saturation solved it. Just not what I expected from a quality product
  22. TIR5 and Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals came today. Wow. Got a TIR profile from Fish (Thanks Fish!) but it will definately take some getting used to (slightly difficult to hit switches, etc.). As for the rudder I stupidly expected it to be plug-and-play, turned out the right toe brake was assigned pitch and the left toe brake was roll. I haven't found it yet but according to the options menu a Button 1 will fire the gun. Anyone else with the Saitek rudder notice that the toe brakes do not fully disengage? Easily fixed with some saturation editing but both pedals seem kind of loose. And does anyone have some general guidelines for using the rudder effectively?

    Cockpit wear?

The cockpit is incased in a titanium "bathtub" to protect the pilot. Now broken windshield, that would be cool
  24. So with right engine failure you lose speedbrakes, and with left engine failure you lose NWS? Good to know
