  1. I love how this thread is still open
  2. Make parts of the body copper and use the wings as cooling fins?
  3. Here's hoping for no clouds :holiday:
  4. Also depends on loadout and fuel load. It's really easy to make small errors, and when starting out it's really easy to make big errors :P I once extended airbrakes to slow down, too much so I increased throttle, too much so I extended airbrakes, too much so I increased throttle, etc. Flaps and gear both up  Sometimes I need to pee so I just land like a crazy bastard
  5. Great, must have taken you a while :) I've never gotten much into the TAD beyond looking at waypoints, thanks
  6. Looks great, I loved The Serpents Head and this looks similar. Will definately try when there is more than 6 hours before going to work
  7. Yeah hopefully this one will miss the U.S.A. and hit Norway, where it will only kill fjords and mountains
  8. Great that you got it working mate but the disk doesn't do anything. I don't even have a disk :P What you did in that last track was correct, something has to have changed since your other tries
  9. Yeah I think the TGP of the wingman zooms in on the target much like your own does when you slave all sensors to SPI. I also think that when he aquires a new target his head moves like this:
  10. Yeah, that looks really unrealistic. Look at the trees in the background, very poor modeling.
  11. I found that a tiny tiny deadzone on the throttle helped avoid the plane moving during startup
  12. Crazy bastard once wanted me to use a CBU to take out a single stationary tank when I was loaded with 4 mavs and a couple of GBU-12s
  13. Look for them online, I think I paid around 300 NOK / $50 per connector
  14. I had network cables going everywhere in my home until I bought a couple of Devolo dLAN connectors, expensive but worth it in the long run. Functions like a router, too (No, Devolo, you can't use my quote for your sales department)
  15. Welcome :) 460 is pretty decent, the bottleneck here is the CPU. I say go for a motherboard/CPU upgrade.
  16. Aha, like this? Oops, forgot the padding :)
  17. I think just about everyone got trolled

    Sound engine

Sorry, what? The F3 camera is a stationary observer, you don't hear what you hear inside the real plane when you are standing on the real ground. Of course the doppler effect is implemented, that's how physics works. Wavelength decreases as a moving object transmits soundwaves forward, and decreases as it transmits backwards. You DO hear an annoying pitch sound from an inbound jet in real life, unless it's supersonic in which case you hear absolutely nothing

Try comparing some of these to the F3 view :)
  20. Childish humour intended :D Thanks Send your wingman in to take care of the MiGs Bear Grylls Eject on Mount Elbrus and walk back to Batumi Airfield Scare Tactics Drop 18 BDU-33s in CCIP on an enemy command post PLONK! Drop a BDU-50 on a main battle tank SPLORK! Drop a BDU-50 on an infantry unit Боже мой! Drop a BDU-50 on a TOR Thanks For The Assist, You May Depart Check in with a JTAC armed with nothing but BDU-50, not even cannon rounds Turbostart During startup, pull the ignition fuses before the engine ignites. Then push them back in.
  21. Eh this would be more comparable to a sniper sitting on a car going back and fourth on a road trying to hit a target without using the scope and only getting a glimpse of the target before driving by. Or unless it's CCIP in which case I would compare it to sniping from the hip.
  22. The flight manual tends to change with each patch, I'm not sure if I want it right away when I need it or later on when it's done  Ah heck, I want it now
  23. :D
  24. We're all gonna get rich :shifty:
  25. Research it :D Constant speed, constant altitude, flat terrain. Measure the distance from release point to impact point and there you have it. The hardest part is to eyeball the distance from the plane but if your TGP is still working you could use the stopwatch in the plane to take notes when you pass directly above the target and calculate a release point based on your speed. If you make it work I really hope you use your god powers to do good and not evil.
