  1. Hm, sounds like I was wrong about a 100% fix. I haven't found a middle-ground between a few bullets here and there and being wiped the floor with. Could be intended or it could be a bug. We should get it clarified if the thread is noticed by any of the testers :)
  2. Yes, you have to shut down the engines for the ground crew to start repair, and they repair every single piece, even remove bullet holes. Use either ground power or APU during shutdown to prevent losing power to CDU and IFFCC :)
  3. Hey, welcome to the forum :) Did you download the full 1.1.1.1 version? Patching can lead to some... issues. Torrent it here: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=135&lang=en Hope it works :)
  4. The newest stable WHQL driver is the 301.10 version, and I'm running the beta 301.24. I love the FXAA thing they've been working on, powerful anti-aliasing but without the performance hit
  5. I really don't trust these things. Could we get some more info than "actually works"? I dunno if that's better or worse than Apple's stuff that "just works" Shuts down processes and windows services, yay. Intensifying processor performance smells like software overclocking to me, setting the voltage too high can fry your processor completely. Says on the site it doesn't overclock but doesn't explain how it "intensifies" your hardware. And "cleaning RAM"? What? But never mind me, the program has been seemingly reccommended by sites such as Ghacks and instalki.pl, so clearly it is something to trust with administrative rights on your system.
  6. Welcome to Norway! TIR5 http://www.flightsim.no/shop/product_info.php?cPath=51&products_id=517 1,149.00 NOK = 200.841 USD Saitek Combat Rudders http://www.flightsim.no/shop/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=682 1,798.00 NOK = 314.283 USD TM Warthog http://www.komplett.no/k/ki.aspx?sku=649014 2,790.00 NOK = 487.681 USD + shipping, of course. Anything imported gets an, I think it's, 20-24% VAT, in addition to a fee for the customs office for the smashing good job they are doing. As a side note, it seems FlightSim.no is sold out of the rudder pedals now, which means I bought the last pair they had in stock. Score!
  7. $40, they'll deliver it straight to my door :D Only other choice in shipping was over-night delivery, for $210
  8. $576 USD including shipping, though
  9. That's strange, can you post a track? If you haven't already done so you should disable force feedback in the options menu. If you've mapped Trim: Reset to anything you should unbound that in case that's what giving a conflict.
  10. 9:20, that's the one. Great vid, mate (*You must spread some Reputation before giving it to Fish again*)
  11. If you "hold" the trim button, do you see the in-game stick move in any direction?
  12. I was in medium-close range so I slew it manually between targets, took me less than three seconds to launch all 4. Looked awesome in the track, hit like a hammer. You wouldn't know of a good markpoint tutorial, would you? I think I've got the basics but it kinda feels like I'm missing out on something big.
  13. Practice, practice, practice. I managed to fire all my 4 mavs in one single pass the other day, it really feels awesome when you get the hang of it
  14. I just took the leap and ordered the Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals and a TIR5 I'll likely get them on tuesday or wednesday but as the title say, ohhhhhhhhhhhh the wait is killing me...
  15. Damn mountains, they've been onto me for a while now  I regret nothing.
  16. What are the speeds to watch out for? Any indication when you're going too fast? I haven't read into these things and I'm not sure where to do so. I feel like a "challenge accepted" track is in order, should make a new pilot for these things to watch the death rate (my number of logbook deaths got pushed up above 50 from doing the angels-13-landing-in-two-minutes-with-no-trackIR project, think I died 30 times on the night landing) Edit: I hope you don't mean a windmill at 1000 AGL :worthy:
  17. I only tested windmill at high enough altitudes for the apu not to work, what IAS do you need to spool the engines enough?
  18. Windmill start at angels 6? How low were you when you levelled out again?
  19. The tanks are not designed for zero gravity operation and to compensate there is a small "capacitator" that supplies the engine with fuel during negative-gravity maneuvers, generally provides 10 seconds of fuel. It's best to do a full stick input when going into a steeper dive to avoid the duration of negative G, or if it's very steep inverting the craft and pulling back into the dive, levelling off as you reach the angle. The latter option has the bonus of looking totally badass.
  20. This might be worth a graph
  21. There we go.
  22. Ahahaha that's pretty good :D Let's see....
  23. So, how do we get the classified version of the sim :shifty:
  24. Here you go :)
