Yea bro I would have to agree with you totally its a good idea man. I was just havin some fun thats all. Im sure the Devs and Testers get a kick out of reading our suggestions and posts that all start to sound the same after a while im sure. Please dont take this post the wrong way man I totally see what you are saying I would love to see other peoples log books too and I also see how this might be funny to a Dev or Tester when they read our post and see this Tex guy joking around about something of this nature. I could only hope that this post would make them laugh a little bit as im sure their work is stressful enough. I am TexVBA#6 in HL because I fly with the Virtual Blue Angels. Now I would change my login in these forums only I havent found that option. I really wish they gave us an option to change our login names it often saves us the confusion from one platform to the next as you mentioned. People speak to you in HL and you dont know who they are because you cant change your name in lockon forums. Well at least thats my excuse. Any who as long as you see "TEX" in the callsign its pretty safe to say its me. As much as Ive tried to run from this callsign this is one bandit i cant shake.;)

If any aerobatic pilots are available from 0600 GMT to 0900 GMT in hyperlobby I would like to get together and fly. I noticed that most people are mainly combat and I want to fly formation stuff. And if there are any pilots that want to learn aerobatics Ill be happy to teach what i know. Thanx for your consideration.;)

To all the devs and testers and people who mop the floors and such and so on I would just like to extend my thanks for such a great simulation. I know that any of us could dig in the history of these forums and find plenty of threads where I have said my 50 cents worth of complaining but rarely do I stop and put my foot in my mouth long enough to say I am very thankful for this simulation. The important thing is I couldnt have said any of this without mentioning the fact that before I ever played this game I knew enough about aviation to be dangerous(so to speak). But through the people I have met ,and the squads I have flown with not to mention the overwhelming support of this lomac community, I have learned a wealth of information about aviation and myself. At some point in time between thinking the world was evil for not having a quality Tomcat simulation and realizing that honest, hardworking individuals like ED have busted their backsides to share their talent of making a quality flight sim, I realized I needed to say thank you. I know how it feels to here nothing but complaints and suggestions when your trying your best. So a huge Thanks ED Your hard work and dedication shows.:icon_supe

Hey Glowing Amraam, First of all I would like to commend you on your past movies they are great love them. Its your lucky day. Boss, or rather my boss of VBA made a mod that I will get his permission to distribute to you plus the high res skins for the Cat under one condition and just one set back. You gotta let me help ya fly some of the footage and the only setback right now is that there is only one squadron you can fly with with this mod. Boss says he can fix it so we can choose what squadrons to fly for but it hasnt been done yet. Just some background info on myself. You could consider me a vet at AA combat (which basically means your not going to be wasting your time telling me how to operate my avionics) , I have been flying with the Virtual Blues now since November of last year so I can fly tight formation and have no problems landing on the ship. Yes as much as I dont want to I would have to agree with GG on this one. I hate to see the Tomcat go as much as anyone I absolutely love this jet but it is time for its farewell. Im just glad that I got to work on it in the Navy in VF-154 and VF-14 .... lol good memories of the Cat for me that I will never lose... good times bro. Anyway I thank God for the memories but I would rather see the Cat retire with a good reputation and good history of service than to extend its life and have more problems of over flying its life expectancy and becoming a flying coffin for our aircrews that love her so much. Its just a lot more stress on a navy fighter than an airforce bird ya know? The B-52 is old the F15 the F16 are old but hell the airforce dont have to smash into an aircraft carrier to land their jets. They arent exposed to the amount of salt water the navy birds are subjected to so unfortunately they dont last as long. Anyway its sad to hear that its finally going but its people like us that never let it die.... and maybe one day they will make a quality flight sim that truely gives it the recognition it deserves by at least modeling it as a flyable in somebodies flight sim. That would help it live on forever.:D

I think he's talking about the pitch of the helo itself not the blades ;) you know? He's saying all the pilot is worried about is the pitch of the nose of the aircraft and collective right? Hey man I feel your pain bro for a long time now Ive gotten all bent out of shape about ED not modeling the Tomcat and they gave me the same answers. Its a 2 seater and the tac manuals are classified. So obviously everytime someone claimed they had the tac manuals or something that would provide enough info for these Naval aircraft to be modeled i.e F14 and F18 my heart literally jumped and I would just end up being let down. But then one day I was reading through the forums and came across an interesting post kind of took the fight out of me after I read it. Now if your me your feeling like you just got slapped in the face because isnt that the whole arguement to begin with. So basically they dont have all the data they NEED but they feel that they have enough to model these aircraft. And YES there was some guess work put into the F15 and A10 and probably all the other flyables in lomac but heres the kicker. They went out on a limb (so to speak) to model those jets IMHO because gee they are only modeled in how many other flight sims so how hard would it be to play follow the leader right ? Plus the fact its just easier to copy what has been proven to bring in money which is the bottom line and the point that I want to make. F14 hasnt been proven on the kill or be killed market of hardcore realistic flight simming. So ED isnt about to even try to model the tomcat because for one they would have to retool for the coding and two they cant copy anyone else. The F18 is a tradgedy and we all know it. But the bottom line there is if they did the Bug then everyone would be like O.K. cats out of the bag now you didnt have the Tac data for either of these aircraft and now the Hornet shows up. OK wheres the tomcat? So lets conclude. 1.Tomcat is not cost effective to ED and money is the bottom line so its dead in the water. 2.Hornet can be done but wont because you really cant have the hornet without the Tomcat after telling your community that Tac Data was the killing ground of both. 3.Think about it man this is a GAME and this is what reminds me to be civil. These same jets are the same ones that protect our country and if their secrets can be bought and sold upon a whim or moments notice in the national urgency of Eagle Dynamics' dire necessesity to have TOP SECRET information that Bin Laden, Sadam Hussein, and the whole of China wouldnt mind having access to so that they can accurately model a stinking F14 right down to the last MFD then why dont we just hand our troops and over to them at the same time with all our coordinated attack plans, IFF codes, Transponder codes, missle codes for ICBM's, Top Secret Authentication codes for nukes etc. Because in my oppinion thats where the line in the sand is drawn between reality and video game. And its spelled national security and if ED cant side step a few landmines to please their western consumers then maybe its time we move on because bottom line is they dont care.... they are making the money they want off of us and if im too dumb to stop buying their product until they consider my ideas and wants then I get what i pay for. Right? Dude this is ED's polite but TACTICAL way of saying hell no. And by now Im used to it. We dont need jeopardize the integrity of our modern fighters and bombers and way of life to protect our country to play an accurate video game. It took me a long time of putting aside what I wanted to accept that answer but it fits. And now that I understand its not so bad I wouldnt want them having that info anyway. I dont want this post to sound bad so :D . I just had to set the record straight. TEX out
