Nice to have the weekly updates and really looking forward to the F-15C and the Su-27 as separate modules as I don't own FC3. It's nice also to confirm that they are actually working on a Hornet, even if it takes to this time next year or later, just knowing it will eventually come is good to know. Cheers, Mick. :)

Geez a German mentioning the war. Lol. Mick. :)
-
Yep I know they are like this in the game, but if you look behind the one in your pic you will see the airfield static horrible thing I am talking about. :music_whistling: The static objects have been getting some love now and again like the fuel trucks and fire engines,ETC,I just wish they would do the same for this and the old biplane or remove them altogether as they are a real turn off, please don't say "easily ignored" because they are everywhere and not easily ignored, for me anyway. :smilewink: Oh and I'm sure Belsimtak will surely use a better model, well I hope so. :smilewink: Mick. :) PS: I only mentioned it here as MI8's were in the news recently, and as I am hovering around airports more now with the Huey I see much more of them,I know it is nothing to do with Belsimtek, obviously. Mick.

Is there any chance we could get a teensy weensy better looking model than this lump of a monstrosity please? I see them littering the airfield along with a horrible looking biplane of some sort, please. :( If there is a way for me to make them appear better somehow?I'm all ears. Awesome sim though, keep up the great work Belsimtek, Regards, Mick. :)

Well done Belsimtek, I personally really like the new FM as the swaying from left to right at speed is either nonexistent or gone altogether,as it was a nightmare for me trying to keep it flying in a straight line. Landings feel a lot more precise now and flying the Huey is generally a lot more enjoyable and even feels more realistic to me somehow, even though I have zero experience with helicopters. I've hardly blown anything up at all so far,I'm enjoying myself too much just flying about trying to master this wonderful sim, awesome stuff. cheers, Mick. :)

Any idea if the "floating/tilting" left to right when flying at speed will be looked at? Cheers, Mick. :)

LOL, I think this thread has left the building and got a taxi. I personally, though disappointed that I won't be flying an F-18 or any other HF aircraft for probably 2+ years,I will buy the planned modules stated. I don't own FC3, so the chance to fly other aircraft in DCS World appeals to me very much and for ED to be rid of ties to other publishers is a leap forward at least. The future does indeed look bright for ED and their partners, and I am glad to be a passenger on this journey. I have been flying sims since the early 80's and seen them come and go,so I applaud ED for their vision and tenacity. Mick.

Couldn't stop thinking of Family Guy,after listening to that music. Lol. Mick.

Relative to whom? ED? Mick.:music_whistling:

As Viper says earlier in thread,"mid" range modules will not carry the DCS brand,I take that to mean the ones DCS puts out will be to "Warthog" spec, There again "Everything is subject to change" :) Mick.

I remember on "Wags" radio broadcast he mentioned the Hornet and I'm sure in the DCS overview video as well. Could someone please provide a link to where it was mentioned about less fidelity modules, Thanks, Mick. :)

I was having the same sort of issues, had to keep moving the cyclic all over the place and certainly not in the size of a coin. It is a Saitek x-45 I use and for a quick nasty mod/fix I got a piece of thin wire and wrapped it around the spring and lifted up and tied it to the bottom of the handle. It works now like a dream and am now able to make the smallest cyclic controls, and yes now the size of a coin. The stick is now loose and free to move where ever at the slightest of touches, and easy to unwrap the small piece of wire if I want it back to normal. Cheap and nasty yes but hey it really works like a charm and makes flying the Huey a lot,lot easier without fighting the stick wanting to centre itself all the time, Mick.

I would prefer this as well, the time the program takes to actually quit then to get back to fly again is just a PITA,would be a lot better if you could just hit the fly again button, Mick. :)
-
I would suggest you provide a little more or as much information as to what the exact problem is buddy, The more info you provide will get you a better answer a lot sooner, Mick. :)

Friday droop? Mick. ;)

Open said mission in the editor, click on your heli icon and at the right hand console click start from ramp instead of runway.Save and fly. Mick. :)

Cheers pal, Mick. :)

Thanks for the link Tusler,I missed that, Cheers, Mick. :)

Does anyone know how/or if it's possible to limit the FOV? As it is now you can zoom waaay far out/back,also head turning,I would prefer my head to not turn a full 360,even when using the reflex sights and the door gunners it just feels kinda weird I have no idea how or if this is possible but I'm sure some of you wizards may be able to come up with something, Cheers, Mick.. :smilewink:

Thanks Wess, I suppose just anything on navigation,as in the best way to implement the homing beacons and how you input the numbers for each waypoint/airfield? :helpsmilie: I am reading the info supplied in the manual just now so hoping to get up to speed, but it is so much more clearer watching and listening to someone actually doing it right. Some of the charts and numbers can be a little overpowering at times for my pea sized brain to cope with. I will watch your vid a few more times and I suppose all will become clear in time. Cheers, Mick. :)

Cheers for the help guys, Yeah I've sussed out that it's for the FFB users now. Think I'll be keeping the box unchecked from now on,it certainly put the wind up me when the controls just stopped working as I was trying to turn, not a pretty sight. :joystick: Thanks, Mick.
-
Thanks Wess, appreciated bud, Any more nav instructional stuff would be most welcome, Cheers, Mick. :)
-
Would be super, awesome if some kind soul could make a walkthrough kind of video showing the radio navigation procedures and the best way how to go about navigating. :helpsmilie: Pretty please. Cheers, Mick. :)

Thanks for the answer Tom, I wonder if the controls locking up is some kind of feature? When this was happening to me,the only way to get any kind of control back was to quickly press autopilot on then off, this gave me back the ability to input control again, Cheers, Mick. :)

I have noticed sometimes it is left Win + Home and sometimes right Win + Home, depending on which module, Also I think maybe it is written to press right Win+Home but it is the other way around for some reason, Not sure if this help you bud, Mick. :)
