  1. Or the Su-27SM. You know, I would love to see what the new Russian RWR looks like that has replaced the SPO-15. I've seen some people calling it SPO-32, but I'm not sure that's the proper designation. Finding images is damn impossible. Technically i still am. I never gave up that post, there's just no need for any help on AoA (and I have little interest in it anyway), and they've not said anything about a potential Wargame 4. After all the leaks that happened, we'll probably know at the same time the rest of the community does. :( I'm not sure the MiG-27K could use the Kh-58, though it could use the Kh-31. It also had the Kh-27PS, which seems to have been a missile that was developed just before the Kh-25 and fell out of favor over the Kh-25MP.
  2. Can't say I'm big on the MiG-29, mainly due to its massively short legs. I'd prefer a Su-27 variant.
  3. None had any kind of EO system (unlike the MiG-27K), with the later Su-17 versions having a similar LSTR as the Su-25. In many ways, it would be quite similar to Su-25 (don't know if it had a HUD or gunsight like the Su-25, though). Polish Su-22M4s, however, started getting a TV display in the cockpit starting with the Seria 30 batch (rather like the Su-25T), allowing them to use weapons like the Kh-29T. It still didn't have any onboard EO-system, though. Basically, it would be a faster Su-25 with a few more weapon options (it could make use of some anti-radiation missiles).
  4. As pointed out, the MiG-29S already has the missile.
  5. Can't be fixed unless you purchase either A-10A for DCS or Flaming Cliffs 3.
  6. Yes. Has been since LOMAC.
  7. Oh, certainly. I'd personally love to see either the Su-24M, MiG-27K or MiG-23MLD. The Su-24M has so many neat weapons at its disposal (not to mention avionics), but it might not be something that data can be acquired on due to its use in service. The MiG-27K might be easier, since it's not in service anymore and has a lot of the same capabilities as the Su-24M (except for some weapons like the Kh-59). The MiG-23MLD was a decent fighter and even had some limited air-to-ground capability (I understand it could use the Kh-66; don't know how accurate that is... or useful:P). I'd hope at least the Mi-24V or Mi-24P. They might be waiting for proper two-seat support to come about (or to have enough finalized).
  8. Not really. At the study level, we've got the A-10C and will eventually get the F-14A/B, F/A-18C, Mirage 2000C, F-15E, and F-15C. On the Russian side, we have the MiG-21Bis as the most modern study aircraft. I haven't heard much on the Su-27S, and I don't know if there's any MiG-29 in the works. That lineup seems more slanted to the Western stuff already. Granted, a lot of those are 3rd party, so maybe the Russian 3rd party community just needs to step up more?
  9. And probably impossible to find enough data on its systems.
  10. I wouldn't; I wouldn't be able to play it, then.
  11. The cannon makes the wrong sound; it's not the vulcan sound found on other aircraft like the M60, but more a slower ratatat of some other gun.
  12. Russia already has the R-77 already. The AIM-120C was IOC 1996. And the Su-34 is certainly a post-Cold War plane. I've also heard that due to problems, the R-27 wasn't fully integrated on the Su-27 until later in the 80s. Would love to know how true that is, though.
  13. There's already an AI MiG-23 and Mig-27 in the game. Nothing in the image suggests the Mig is anything but an AI.
  14. Was the radar display on the A-7E and later versitile enough to show Maverick imagery, or did everrything have to be done by eyeball and with the HUD?
  15. I like how you even added the AN/AAR-4S. Does it work?
  16. Keep in mind it is rather old, from 1972. Things like the FLIR pods and newer weapons aren't covered in it. Another good source are modeling forums. Many former pilots and ground crew will give actual loadouts that their squadron used.
  17. Huh, didn't think that was an issue. People can still modify the vanilla payloads just fine, so it is not a server balance issue. Well, the payload from SLUF is pretty good. According to the RAZBAM manual for the A-7E, here are some further loadouts. Stations 1 & 8: Stations 2 & 7 Stations 3 & 6 The David A. Anderton book LTV (Vought) A-7A/E Corsair II (Profile Publications Number 239) also lists the AGM-62 Walleye as an armament. No location is given, but since other guided weapons were carried on stations 1, 2, 7, 8; those are probably the pylons that could use the AGM-62 as well. The Al Adcock book A-7 Corsair II in Action No 120 lists the AGM-84 as another weapon it could use (probably 1, 2, 7 & 8 as well). The AN/AAR-4S FLIR could be carried on station 6. GBUs could also be carried, but the A-7 had no way to self-designate. While the player won't be able to use the AGM-88 or AGM-45, the AI should still be able to make use of them. Yeah, it's pretty easy to do, including the preset mission payloads. The issue with the A-7 is that the file controlling that is blocked off by being compiled. As for mods, use JSGME. If a mod gives you issues, it's very easy to remove.
  18. Bohemia Interactive could use the competition to step up its act.
  19. I tried creating it by making use of an unused version of the Vikhr. Sadly, it didn't work out so well. There were two ways I went about it; in one, the AI would only ever fire one shot. In the other, the missile took on the shape of the 8-round launch tube of the Mi-28.
  20. No, those are the preset loadouts, i.e. what would normally be found under \MissionEditor\data\scripts\UnitPayloads. I'm looking to edit the files that determine what can and can't be loaded onto a hardpoint, i.e. what would be located under \Scripts\Database\planes. Specifically, since this is a mod, it would be a file rather like \CoreMods\aircraft\F-86\F-86.lua
  21. That's not possible, though; the format of the payload file is unknown, and it looks like it's been compiled somehow. It's under A-7E Corsair\Entry\, under the file name "Aa" (no extension). I have no idea how to edit such a file.
  22. I think something is getting lost in translation. I'm still not sure what you mean.
  23. I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean.
  24. Wish I could edit the loadout. The inboard pylons shouldn't be able to use MERs, only TERs, and the inside of those can't be filled if there's an AIM-9 on the fuselage (this can be done with the forbidden = tag), and the AGM-88 should be available (even if the players can't use it).
  25. Sure, though it will require the use of an autoexec.cfg file, so some manual editing/file placement will be required. See the readme in the folder called "autoexec". I also edited aircraft_guns.lua (which I keep in a separate mod folder on my own computer) so that the cannons fire from and drop shells from the correct positions. I'm including it in this mod, so people will likely not be able to join multiplayer servers when this mod is active (unless they remove that particular file). http://www.mediafire.com/download/f4k45kyi44qqmg2/JSGME_Harrier_GR7_AI.7z
