1. I noticed that DCS World makes some backup-folders (which contain your modified files) after each update. I'm not at my sim computer now, and cannot remember the exact names of these folders, but they are called .backup..blah..blah or something like that. Check them out if you have them. Maybe your custom loadouts can be found there and could be restored? Just pure speculation...
2. To get the incockpit MFCDs not to render, you need to edit ViewportHandling.lua file (with Notepad++. Open it as an Administrator.) In DCS World that file can be found here: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common Using Notepad++, comment out line 31 by adding the -- as highlighted in red below purposes = {--render_purpose.GENERAL, render_purpose.HUD_ONLY_VIEW, render_purpose.SCREENSPACE_OUTSIDE_COCKPIT, render_purpose.SCREENSPACE_INSIDE_COCKPIT} -- set purposes to draw it always render_target_always = true end And once again, when you next time update your DCS World, the updater will replace your edited file. So be prepared to restore it.

4. My ILS and TACAN are not that yellowish. I have the latest patch installed.
5. You can have both versions installed. With default install paths they won't mess each other. Just don't import keyboard/controller mappings from your standalone version to the DCS World version because there have been some changes. DCS World version might ask for activation when opened for the first time, but probably it has picked your key automatically from the Windows registry and you just press OK or something.
6. After a few hours of flying, you'll trim automatically/subconsciously just to save your wrist muscles. You don't even notice that you just trimmed the plane. :)
7. Yes. With A-10C you have to trim all the time. Try to fly level with constant speed and center your stick. If your plane for example starts climbing, you have to trim nose down until it's compensated and your're flying level. If your speed changes, you have to trim again. If you release a bomb, you have to trim left or right wing down to compensate the change of weight.
8. By the way, I managed to destroy the radar antenna using the way forum member Evil.Bonsai described (read below). It's very difficult though! And it's even kinda hard to find that sucker with TGP. So, when you eventually find it, write down the coordinates for the next time (cheating... :music_whistling:). You won't nail the bastard with your first attempt, that's for sure :)
9. No idea. But the desktop is OK, laptop not. With laptop I would try resetting controllers back to defaults. Use forum search for "reset controllers" to get detailed info about resetting.
10. Just about two dayz ago I was cleaning up the map and somehow couldn't get rid of one of those red triangel symbols. So I left it alone. BTW, normal procedure that should work: Hook the triangle and press the red CNC (OSB 7, (CNC = Cancel)).
11. I have also been struggling with River Raider mission. See this message :): http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1327720&postcount=11
12. edit: nothing, got you wrong...
13. Before flying, open the Mission Editor and make a customized loadout with Smokewinders (pylons 1 and 11) and save it as "SmokeGens" or something like that. Now, when you in any mission contact the ground crew and ask for rearm, you can see your "SmokeGens" listed. Choose it, and you have your smoke. If you choose air-to-air with MMCB, AFAIK both pylons (1 and 11) become selected if you have smoke generators on them. But if you go to DSMS, you can pick either one or both. Then just pickle.
14. Just release the brakes very slowly. Normally it is enough to avoid the problem (which really exists and causes trouble if you are not aware of it).
15. Press Prt Scr -button while loading, and the location of that .png will be C:\Users\<Username>\Saved Games\DCS\ScreenShots :music_whistling: EDIT: Do you mean this one?: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\MissionEditor\themes\main\images\loading-window.png
16. I think one of the default Snap Views shows full screen HUD. Cannot remember which one (I'm not at my sim computer now), but try keyboard Numpad combination [Zero] + [5], or [Zero] + [8], and go thru all other Numpad number keys as well. One of them should show you BIG HUD. EDIT: It's Numpad 5. Found a youtube video (which BTW shows the toggled mode of Snap Views): EDIT2: Tried HUD Snap View with my current setup, and somehow I could not see all HUD information, especially that very lower left hand corner you were interested in was not visible at all . Instead, with zooming in I could magnify the HUD considerably.
17. Yes. And those options are TAD, STPT, MAV, TDC, TGP and IFFCC. About IFFCC, if you haven't seen that before: Choose CCIP Gun. When HUD is SOI, TMS Aft Short sets SPI Submode (IFFCC visible in the lower left corner of HUD, and the SPI is derived from CCIP pipper). Now, when you activate TGP and Slave all to SPI (China Hat Fwd Long), you slave the TGP to your gun pipper. Of course the picture that TGP shows might be a bit jumpy, but anyway, you can see kinda magnified version of the point you are aiming at.
18. I already asked this in another thread (http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=105758), but I'll ask here again because I just found this thread afterwards. Sorry for my multiposting... :music_whistling: When I open the Module Manager and go to Installed-tab, and click the Serial Number of my A-10C Warthog, it says "No key". Anyway, DCS A-10C works OK, no problem. I can login in the module manager. Actually, I logged in and out several times. And I can login into digitalcombatsimulator site (http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/myserials.php) and I can see my key there. But the Module Manager won't show my serial. I can also login into Multiplayer successfully. I typed the Name and ******* password again, but it won't help.
19. I borrow this thread to ask something about Module Manager: When I open the Module Manager and go to Installed-tab, and click the Serial Number of my A-10C Warthog, it says "No key". Why is that? I thought that the Module should show my valid key? Anyway, DCS A-10C works OK, no problem. I can login in the module manager. Logged in and out several times. And I can login into digitalcombatsimulator site (http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/myserials.php) and I can see my key there. But the Module Manager won't show my serial.
20. My "fix" was that I mapped Pause and Reset of my TrackIR 5 to my Logitech MX518 thumb buttons. Works very well for me. Cannot remember if the original mapping contained F8, but at least some Function-buttons.
21. I'm not an expert, but I activate the anti collision strobes just before entering the runway. They are not ON during taxi. Especially when it is dark bright strobes might be annoying for other pilots, I think. Is this correct procedure?
22. I was a bit imprecise with my statement. :music_whistling: I meant these files (with which I perform the exports to my extra monitors (Helios)): AN_ALR69V_init.lua CDU_init.lua DIGIT_CLK_init.lua CMSC_init.lua CMSP_init.lua freq_status_init.lua preset_channel_init.lua repeater_init.lua
23. Autoupdated successfully a few hours ago. No problems whatsoever. Download speed peaks were 1600 KB/s, average maybe 1000 KB/s. I only have A-10C module. Took some 20 minutes to get all done. I use Helios, and I had to restore my export .lua-files as usual, but that's not a problem, just routine after any autoupdate.
24. Roadrabbit, are you sure you have inverted the axis?
25. I'm a bit late with my answer, but the tanker speed of Hideout mission is kinda well-known problem: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1473041#post1473041
