  1. Thanks, Ragtop. At least I'm not alone with that feature. Although, not a big problem.
  2. I have noticed with my Saitek Combat Rudder Pedals that if I release the brakes "too quickly", they don't always go back to zero. You can clearly see that by activating the controls indicator of DCS A-10C (RCtrl + Enter). However, if I go to Windows Game Controllers and see the brake axis, they always seem to go back to zero. Even if I release the brakes very quickly. Can you confirm this?
  3. paulrkiii, thanks for giving interesting information (again)!
  4. pFhSogGnu4I :cry::helpsmilie:
  5. So true. :helpsmilie::D
  6. And they didn't have the luxury of autopilot those days. LASTE was introduced later, right?
  7. Opening the canopy, does it signal something (to the tower or other pilots)? Or they just open it for some other reason?
  8. About Bingo Fuel. A couple of days ago I did read some stories of Vega 31 rescue operation, and there is an exciting story. Please read the "Tanker crew remembers A-10 rescue over Bosnia" -part: http://www.f-117a.com/Vega31/Vega31-3.html And about the expression "Bingo": http://www.airforce-magazine.com/MagazineArchive/Pages/2006/December%202006/1206vega.aspx
  9. Am I completely wrong, but the Flight Manuals says (p. 127)?: This must be wrong? It should be 1500 and 4100 IMHO? The gauge scale is PPH x 100. If the gauge pointer shows approx. 20, it should mean 20 x 100 = 2000 LBS. And if both engines use the same amount, the total is 4000 LBS per hour.
  10. Also the Pointing Cross should be near the Tracking Gate in order to have a good lock. That area is sometimes called "The Keyhole" (because of its shape). Steer your aircraft so that the Pointing Cross is within "Keyhole".
  11. Something like this?: http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php/topic/36902-dcs-a-10c-field-of-view-fov-mod/
  12. No weapon is 100% accurate. Maverick can miss a target. About the "lock", I think it very much depends on the target/background contrast. It's very normal that you don't always get the lock easily. Just repeat TMS up short, or slew a little. I've noticed that the sim track recording keeps missing at least my Helios inputs. So saving tracks is useless for me. They are "parallel reality".
  13. If you are with defaults: Press key 0 (= zero, located about below F8 function key on your keyboard) 2 times to get a countermeasures prog with decent flares. Then press button 7 (below function keys again). Then if you press F2, you should see flares. (I suppose you have countermeasures active, not standby or off)
  14. About speed tape. Why is it so that the bigger figures are on the bottom of the tape and smaller on top? I feel like it is upside down, somehow. I think I've seen pics of F-16 HUD, and the tape is just vice versa. More natural way.
  15. By default with v1.1.1.0 B is for "extend Boarding ladder". W is for wheelbrakes. So you have remapped the brakes?
  16. You haven't tried AAR? Several tankers. CTD immediately.
  17. Confirm. I'm not sure if it were a tester, but anyway. EDIT: Found http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1164098&postcount=2 :)
  18. With my Saitek pedals it is Axis. Gotta invert the axis as well.
  19. Does the autopilot work OK for example in normal fast missions? In TM HOTAS Warthog there are two buttons which can activate/disactivate autopilot: 1. HOTAS Left Throttle Button (keyboard Q) 2. LAAP Engage/Disengage (keyboard A) But I think the training mission use only one of those, cannot remember which one? I might be wrong too... Are your keyboard A and Q with defaults?
  20. Yes. At first the written procedures look complicated. But if you actually go and change the settings a few times yourself, you'll notice that it's very simple after all. It's the same thing for example with loading DSMS after rearm, or changing the HOF of CBU-97. BTW, notice TGP slew rate figures/speed difference compared with Maverick (= opposite): Maverick... 1 = Slow TGP.......... 1 = Fast
  21. I think the narrator is supposed to activate the autopilot. Not you. If you press the autopilot button, then you disable the autopilot which narrator just activated.
  22. I think Rhinox is right. However, people have had FPS issues since patch 1.1.1.0. If I understand right, OP hasn't run e.g. v1.1.0.9 but installed the latest 1.1.1.0 right away? Maybe you should test with v1.1.0.9, as a reference. If it's still jerky, it definitely is your GPU.
  23. Nice to hear! Did the new install ask for serial, or automatically found it in the Windows Registry?
  24. Nice products. I have all of them. :) A short pre-flight check list (probably you already know all this, but...): Check especially the throttle firmware version. Update immediately if it is not the newest one. Then check that pitch or roll are not mapped to pedals. Might be the case. Then invert the axis of pedal toe brakes Then get rid of the View commands from stick Trim button, and map trim instead.
  25. I don't use steam, but I have read that people just view the CD key first and then uninstall steam and just download the whole v1.1.1.0 from DCS website and use their steam serial.
