  1. When it comes to exporting indicators (like RWR, UHF repeater etc.), there has been changes with both v1.1.0.9 and v1.1.1.0 patches. However, I think that exporting MFCDs really didn't change that much. Or if changed, only a little bit. But other indicators suffered more. Take a look at another sticky: To understand the fixes needed with 1.1.0.9, read the other sticky thread starting with this message (and a couple of pages more) : http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1254646&postcount=116 To understand what's gotta be fixed after patch 1.1.1.0, start reading with this message on and read a couple of more pages: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1325071&postcount=263 Hope this helps.
  2. ^^ Fog may cause trouble with visibility: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=81769
  3. Seems like the static figure which earlier used to be 10, is now 1. Changed with v1.1.1.0 patch?
  4. I don't have random failures active at the moment. But I have trained emergency procedures. For example, on purpose shut down one fully working (no damages or failures or fire) engine and got it up and running nicely with both windmill and APU procedures. All went exactly as described in user manual. Definitely works with v1.1.1.0. Tested with both engines (not simultaneously). Left and right, both started easily. And there is no need to hold the IGN button or use override, IMHO. With APU restart, at first I didn't know how long a time you should MOTOR. With trial and error and watching the gauges, only a couple of seconds I think. Maybe if you fail to start, then MOTOR more? With windmill, did you have enough dive with plenty of speed?
  5. It's a bit more complicated than just drag 'n' drop. But basically it goes as you described. Good example: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1310803&postcount=6
  6. ^^ Nice story!
  7. I prefer autolase. I'm too busy with all those buttons and switches and gauges and... did I mention buttons already? :joystick:
  8. I suppose I should install the Target software in order to get the Esc programmed. I think I skip the installation. I'll be OK with Esc and F12 keyboard buttons.
  9. There is a patch for Helios too: http://www.scsimulations.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=105
  10. I've seen that error a few times. Own fault. Should watch the altimeter...
  11. Stupid question (there are no stupid questions, only stupid people like me...): How do u do that? Once tried to add Radio Up button at first to Esc. No success with that so next I added it to F12 button. So I tried both buttons which normally make the radio menu disappear from the screen. But neither worked. I just added the Radio Up so that the original "bindings" (End Mission and Show Static Object or something like that) were there as well.
  12. OK. Must test it some day. So far seemingly I have been content with the default boresight. EDIT: Tried to use DMS MAV Reticle Left/Right/Up/Down, but wasn't able to do anything with it. And manual (p. 572) shows another way to change the boresight position using depressible pipper. How exactly do u use DMS while setting MAV boresight position?
  13. How or when do you use the MAV DMS Reticle Left/Right/Up/Down? I don't know how to take advantage of it.
  14. Seems to be that way. Or my refueling skills are suddenly improved drastically? Anyway, I haven't seen those huge fireballs (tanker + me) diving into sea anymore. After the 1.1.1.0 patch, I mean. By the way, after patch 1.1.1.0, I changed the curvature setting of my TM HOTAS Warthog stick from 20 to 10. With the 1.1.1.0 and with curvature 20 the steering was way too "slow". Originally I changed the curvature (from 0 to 20) specifically because of AAR.
  15. Cannot open the .zip? Is it corrupted or is my system corrupted?
  16. Mega, see this old thread/message (especially step 4.): http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1230218&postcount=6 This is what I meant. And I mentioned I was talking about old versions of DCS A-10C. Not the latest version(s).
  17. :music_whistling:
  18. I've noticed a couple of useful things while using the Helios Profile Editor. So here you are. Some tiny tips: When you select the panel so that it gets the green outline (as the CDU in the OP video), and then doubleclick it, it will open in another tab. Easier to concentrate on it if you want to do some editing. Also, when an object or a whole panel or whatever is selected (green outline again) and you want to align it accurately with other objects or make tiny changes in its position, use keyboard arrow keys. Very accurate and controlled way to make tiny movements.
  19. I could imagine at least one reason for creating an extra flightplan: With earlier versions of DCS A-10C (eg. v1.1.0.7), when you switched STEER PT dial from FLT PLAN to MARK, you could only see one markpoint at a time on TAD. Not all of them.
  20. Yes, they should. This video shows them:
  21. I admit that perhaps I didn't choose the right words. With the more curvy curve (that looks almost like Z or N) IMHO it is easier to achieve the tiny speed changes needed while refueling.
  22. It does affect all the flying. Cannot say if it is good or bad for formation flying. Two pics attached. The one with more aggressive curvature I suppose was posted by some other forum member (cannot be sure). The other with more subtle curvature is mine. Of course apply the same settings for both throttle axis.
  23. Nothing to understand really. Just use the NWS button if you have been disconnected and want to be ready as soon as possible. By the way, I have modified curvature settings of my TM Warthog dual throttle as well. So subtle changes with speed are easier to achieve.
  24. Isn't that given 2 minutes for shutdown procedures way too short a time? I use to cool down the engines by idling for 5 minutes before shutting them down.
