US 610 Gal. Fuel Tank for F-15C
warthogmadman987 replied to iVIPER21's topic in 3D Modeling for DCS World
as they say in the hood... TIGHT! -
Actually, the battlesim and everything you see on that webpage is being designed to be sold to militaries. I know that something ED is making could potentially be used in the upgrade for the A-10C. I think is will be training. But just to say, i dont actually have hard proof of this, and i dont think it will ever be available to the public.

Recomendations to increase FPS
warthogmadman987 replied to chrno120's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
I dont know about you, but let me say what worked for me. I used to have 512mb of ram. It sux. I went to 1mb of ram and in lockon almost 7 months ago my fps doubled, just with more ram. I wouldnt be surprised for you. (i now have 2 gb, got more as a gift.) And just to let you know, if there is anything that you want to change the most to help lockon, you might want to look at cpu's. For me anyway, that is the bottleneck. And even imo i have a pretty good cpu. Although, i know maybe you dont have money to do this, just get what you feel you can. If you are hunting for prices, go to newegg.com, they are great. -
dang, there's my new backround!

I wonder will there ever be a way to show this? From my knowledge the human eyes pick up things from 3 different "veiws" there is the target sight, or line of sight. About 3% of what we see, this is what we focus on and usually use to read. Then there is fringe vision. It is broader and used as a scaning device. then there is periferal vision, this we use to detect just movement and colors. I notice when playing lockon i can us the first 2 sights but never periferal vision. I always notice my speakers or parts of my desk. I have wondered, is there a way to somehow right lua script so you can make the viewing areas in a cockpit wider, or is that not possible. I realize that i dont have a screen enough to get rid of everything, but how can we make it more realistic. Is the future going to have computer screens that are like glasses so that was we cant see things around us? (the closer the screen, the more periferal vision we use right? What if you stuck our computer screen inches away from our head, would that look realistic if the image was made right? I know there are serious factors here, but i am just wondering if there is technology out there. LIke that would make track ir not work, or other junk, i dont care about that, but is there ever a way we will use our periferal vision to our advantage on computer games? (I have used big screen projectors to play games, and you dont get the sense that i am looking for. Can somebody look into the future?:D

THE WAR THAT WAS NEVER MEANT
warthogmadman987 replied to warthogmadman987's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thanks guys so much, Like i said, the music is beautiful... Since i am in high school i just had to pick that song. I am in band, and we performed that song with a local guitarist. That was actually a high school band playing... I have to real recording to though, of some philharmonic syphomy... It went well with what i wanted i thought... and even though that would never happen in real life, i always enjoy the theme based movies... my personal fav is glowing ammrams oc_redux, excellent, mine is almost on the same theme too. I actually intended this movie to include the movement 2 and 3 parts, but i think maybe i will save them for later. I wanted an a-10 based movie (the name) but i took a different root. I actually didnt want to show to kuz sinking, because i wanted the movie to be sort of like a movie trailer, and i wanted to act like i was saving a lot of the action and the ending for the a movie in the future. (im not saying i will or will not make a movie based on this one, but that it was basically made as a movie trailer to portray a hollywood war film that will never be made) I was going to mention that i used vegas because i got it for free, so i went with what i had, if i had a nice program like premeire pro free then i would use it. I dont spend a lot of money on programs except games and on windows, all other programs are naturally free, or i download off of limewire:D Ohh, and the f-18 thingy, the reason it didnt shoot is becuase it had fuel tanks, shot of its harpoons(or whatever they are, some anti ship missile) and its 2 aim-20's missed. Go figures. PS- if you arent a member of lockonfiles and you cant download the movie, then you should become a member, it is a great site, and is run by great people who commonly visit here. If you detest, i put it onto patricks aviation, but the quality really sux -
THE WAR THAT WAS NEVER MEANT
warthogmadman987 replied to warthogmadman987's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Thank you. I always like the music to that vid... about the carrier. i dont exactly remember what spots you are talking about, but i was using the f12 veiw. I just got the planes in the spots i wanted by going into mission editor and plotting abuot 20 different aircraft to land onto the carrier. I gave them new payloads and paint schemes and had them land while recording as a track. I then went from the nearest airport to the carrier and just found what i thought would be interesting angles. I just recorded that. Nothing special to getting all the planes on, just tell them all to land. It can take some time, since about 20 craft have to land! -

That is the way the game was made, infact if i am correct, that is the way the do it in real life, they go really slow. I could be wrong, but that is the way mine is, and it is just moddeled that way.The AI arent stupid, they just do what they were programmed to do.

ANyone else experienced this? Very frustrating
warthogmadman987 replied to Zahael's topic in User Created Missions General
ya, those missions can be screwed up. You may need to declassify them to get the payload you want and change the targets. I forget the password though... You might ask around on the main forum. -
I want a place to upload my lockon video. I already tried patrick's, and didn't like the quality. I want to stick with wmv. files. Anyone know where i can upload my vid? I also was going to upload at lockonfiles.com, but was limited to a 20mb upload, mine is 24.3mb. Can anyone help. I want to get it up to get some comments. Thanks

warthogmadman987 replied to warthogmadman987's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
ill see if i can get some up here in the morning (for me anyway, wait, it is morning, time for bed) Unless someone comes up with another response -
I have noticed, ecpecially after capture video with fraps, that i begin to see rings or lines in the sky, jumping from one color to the next, like some people saw with haze. I do have a ati card(look below) Is there a way to fix it? Ot, as i am geussing, that is normal in lockon? i think this explains it good, if you need to see a pic, just ask and i will see if i can post one, but hopefully you can answer from my dicscription.

Not to stear you away, but i have expeirienced some troubles. I dont know what those programs you are talking about are, but my dad used to have troubles burning dvd's and cd's of all kinds. He doesnt anymore with the newest starforce, so i recommend to give it a shot, besides, it is only like 15$ now, right?
