  1. Does anyone know how i can get some free sounds to make lockon movies with.:helpsmilie: Can i ask where? I am trying to add in sounds instead of using the ingame sounds. I have always wanted to get the Sony Pictures Sound Effects Volumes 1-10 set, but never will. ( it is like 500$!) Is there a good free database, or how should i go about this?
  2. OK, i am going to make sure to upload it to several places this time. I am also going to use the in game renderer, considering the FRAPS quality i had was horrible. This one is going to be specifically the A-10. I am calling it Rampage Run. Although i am super busy with school now, so i figure it could be a long time. If it gets to the point, i am probably going to wait for the new A-10A model lo-fi and deadman are working on. That way i have LBG's and a sweet looking model to go with it!
  3. So Iquana, i know i sound like im buggin you, but can i ask if you might have the meint file ready sometime, i am tring to make a movie/powerpoint and was hoping i could get all those munitions working.

  5. Hey EricJ, i have had that happen in the past also. I was carried some GBU's (this was right when LOPE came out) and they did almost that same thing. They were going at about mach 4 also, when i looked at the speed bar. I think that is becuase the Su wasnt modelled to carry LBG's, like i have tried in the past. It works on the A-10 correctly.

  7. It can carry the GBU-15, GBU-16, GBU-24, and the GBU-28 bombs of which you didnt include but would be sweet if you could add them! PS. I notice in LOPE that you can put some GBU's onto a MER and TER. I think we need to figure out if the A-10 used this ability and see if Iguana can add it also?

  9. Hey Iquana, i like it that we can get these new armaments onto the a-10 but i am having issues. I can get pretty much everything onto the plane just not all of it to work. The BLU-755, although i can see it hanging on the plane, is not recognized at all by the plane. Secondly, i can switch through and select the GBU-10 and GBU-12 but i cant move the pipper and latch onto a target to fire. Any solutions?

  13. Hi guys i just want to ask a question. I understand that this model is was at one time using a lot of poly's but it being reduced and instead opting out for something called textures. Could someone explain the difference to me on a 3d model and why texturing it better. What are the cause and effects. A bad versus good type deal. Can someone explain the consequences?
  14. Ya, sorry, it was late last night and i wasnt really paying attention to my grammar. Basically my point was is that i think we should stick with modeling the A-10A variant instead of the C for many of the reasons i listed in my previous post. (The game engine limits what we can and cant model correctly)
  15. also, this would be so nice, but if i am correct isnt possible with the lockon engine now, i wish we had the capability to rewind a track when watching.
  16. I'm not trying to say if dice is right or not, i just question if we should get rid of the scoops on the nose of the airplane. I say this becuase if i am correct, we are trying to model an A-10A, not the A-10C, correct. If we wanted to get rid of the scoops and make it an A-10A, i think we should have to change the entire model, not just the scoops. Granted, i know there are not many visible differences from the outside. Except those scoops, and few pylons, etc... but that is about it. Also, if we were to change the A-10A to the C i think we should change this cockpit now into the A-10C's cockpit. Which i am pretty sure would require an entire new 3D cockpit, cosidering the A-10A's cockpit has slightly different layout, knew throttle and much more. Following this, we couldnt get the knew upgrades the A-10A has into the game. I dont think we would be able to model everything without ED. Following this game was made to reinact a time peroid as if it were the 80's. It would bother me if i had a A-10A without the availabiltiy of LBG's! If there is a huge interest for the A version (which i am not for at the time, unless we can fix some issues i stated) I would instead lean to the "new" C version lo-fi is working on. If there is a complaint over this, would it be possible to make a new A-10A and new A-10C. Give people the choice of which they choose to install??? ps- wow that was a lot of typing...

Hey I cant directly give you the URL's, but there are some amazing pictures of gears and cockpits at this website- http://www.aircraftresourcecenter.com/ Go there, click on walkarounds (at the top) then click on jet aircraft walkarounds. Finally scroll down just a bit... The planes are in alphabetical order, so A-10 is in the a's. Very close to the top. There are some real shots of everything you could possible need. Very good stuff. I use most of it for reference on my 1/32 trumpeteer a-10 model. Hope that helps.
