I am new enough to the sim community that i have never played Jane's. So i tryed to get the music from it, i got it in several wav files. Am i supposed to make it run all together, or is there a specific file you guys were going to use to replace the main ogg? I cant find that file in what i downloaded from here, what is it called, or how do i use it? Also,i would like to here the ace combat stuff.

I have been having troubles playing any games in 3d. I really only play lockon but my brothers when on the computer playing other games say they get the same kind of problems. After any random time, the game will freeze and i can get random things on the screen. Usually verticle lines that are in many different colors or a checkerboard of squares also available in many colors. After some time, say 10-20 seconds, the thing either unfreezes and reloads the current point (at which time i have lost control and crashed), or the computer may restart itself, or i have to manually turn the computer off. My dad thought it the graphics card was overheating (a refurbished ATI X1800 series card). We got a new fan that has significantly dropped the temperature by 10-15 degrees at any time, and still the problem persists. My dad sometime in the near future is going to perform some tests that will stress the card to confirm his theory that it is the graphics card. Afterwards, he will switch from his computer to mine his Nvidia 7900 just to see if the problem will persist. We will them most likely have identified if the problem the graphics card or not. The only other thing that i think might be overheating is the ram, very new ram. (as in a month and a half) I just wanted to know what you guys think it could be, seeming that the problem happens consistently in lockon fc 1.12a that has several mods running in it. Aside from that issue, the other odd thing is that everytime i startup my computer, i get a popup saying Manual Configurator has blah blah blah... dont send or send error message? I alway reply dont send, but the thing is manual configurator is for my x52 joystick. I cant run a profiles without it. Does anybody think that this is my issue? If so how do i fix it? I have uninstalled the thing and get no error message, but i cant them use my joysticks profiles. Is there a way to run profiles a different way. Aside from this, i dont think this is causing my freezing issues. Can anybody help? I want to see that movie so bad! My mom hates renting movies though, i prolly wont get to see it for awhile unless i can somehow find it on the internet and download it (i aint paying for it, so i geuss that means illegally, like bitorent or limewire, but i cant find it!) It seems to remind me of the hunt for red october, great movie, excellent book!

do you mean that you flew the mission and saved as a track. If you just open a track and change veiws but dont save, then you will stay with the default veiws the track was saved as. You have to overright the old one. If that doesnt work then i am wrong, you may not be able to edit the track at all. I dont know which one, i havent messed around with it like that. Can i ask why you are doing this? Are you making a movie, it works good if you use fraps.

Are you saying that it will work with windows alone, and linux must have WINE or to work at all with windows or linux you must have WINE. What is WINE anyway? I'm sure you dont mean the beverage.

Would it work with a Cassiopeia Pocket PC, a dell pocket pc, or others? Could i somehow do that? If so, how? I have about 4 pocket pc's, and one of them is just sitting around, but i have windows pocket pc installed. Any suggestions?

I have tried zzz spaces sound mod and had one problem, i couldnt hear anything in or outside the a-10 cockpit. Nothing, no engines, guns or missiles firing. I had the sound settings in the options set correctly, and switched them around. I had it installed via modman. I then dumped it and tried archers sound pack. Everything was fine as usual except the a-10, still nothing inside or even outside the pit, but i could hear vehicles i drove by and helicopters. But i didnt hear any explosions either, no missile impacts. its weird. i installed that manually. Everything works fine when i dont have any sound mods installed, included heavy breathing and afterburner effects. (something compleltly different from archers or zzzspaces. (i ddint have those running at the same time) Everything worked fine when i have vanilla sound. But i dont like vanilla sound, especially since i am making a movie. Anyone know what wrong?

dang, i figured that though, couldnt that be easy to implement in BS? Can i propose that this be added? Would make many lives easier i am sure.

I am trying to make a movie, and i am using fraps to capture what i want from a track that i made. I was wondering, is there a way to rewind a track or go back without having to restart the entire track, as if i wanted to capture something from a different angle?

maybe not for you, for some it seemed it did, and if it is flight modeling, yes, it sux in MSFS.

I honestly dont think that a person can compare MSFS and Lockon. One is a shooting flying game and another is for really joyriding or heavy flight. The two are completly different. If you mod FS 2004 with the right junk, i can be really fun. It is sterile, yes, but it looks like they are fixing that. I also like how i can mod my hometown and put in my house, hell, i even make it a mansion if i want to. Maybe a walk out basement. I really cant wait for MSFS X, i think it will be completly different, and i cant wait for some of the mods. One thing that people have to realize is that the MSFS games only really look good from higher up 5,000 plus. But they are making it better lower, and i think that some mods for it will atleast make it look good. Now some can say lockon looks better lower, sometimes i have to disagree, are you telling me that you fly at 500 feet and all i see is green? Lets face it, each game has strong and weak points, but each game was made for what the developer wanted, that me not be what you would like. Not everybody gets life their way. This isnt burger king. We get it their way, and like most nice developers and distributors (except EA) they give it your way. I luv both of them and i will definitly buy both black shark and msfs X. Infact, those will be my only flying sims i plan to buy. Only waiting for SCDA, Crysis, GTR2, and maybe spore.

now this may not be the problem, but it was for me...Are you running any programs when lockon is running. I used to run a popup on my computer that showed up on the starting screen, it showed up over folders. When i when to play any game it would show up and screw up the veiws. If you have something like this you need to turn it off. It was called tigertagsdeskflag. Something like this popup can disrupt the veiws. You might what to check out a program called enditall, it stops all uneeded programs while playing games. This can fix it is something besides lockon is causing a problem. It also make lockon run really fast. (compared to when i didnt have it)

actually, there was some thread on this forum talking about that. It would work, but you had to have a special graphics card for black shark to do that. i cant find it, maybe i saw it somewhere else. I am not sure if you needed those special goggles that plugged into the computer also. You might have to look around.

I still use my MS sidewinder force feedback 2 and it works perfect with force feedback on. Although i love my x52 also! (kinda wish my x52 had force feeback, not the stupid spring.

Actually, i beleive i have the disc, maybe i can upload? I have the tir3 pro but the tir4 drivers work fine with it. woops- didnt realize someone is already uploading it. If it isnt uploaded by tommorow then i may just give it a shot.

Actually, i have the cdds option highlighted on all the time except when the mod/skin tells me to install it in modman with that option off. Otherwise i just leave it on and everything works fine. Sometimes if it doesnt work then i switch the option from the opposite that it was and the mods/skins install great. It doesnt hurt me to leave it on unless specified by the mod author in the readme. or if it is an obvious cdds file.

This has to be the most advanced i have ever seen. Did anyone notice that the sound was about 12-15 seconds ahead of what the person was saying? I sure hope they make an english pit, and besides that mod, no one else will mod it for any reason, because it is that perfect. Great work i must say.
