Don't use full throttle and try not to use rudder extensively if you are say over 250 km/hr

Here is how I learnt to hover. 1. Your speed should be in HUD. If no speed in HUD, no auto-hover. Speed in HUD means that flight computer is not sleeping (correct me if I am wrong) 2. The vertical line aka piper should be visible when you go below 50 Km/hr 3. All 3 autopilots should be engaged. You may turn off heading autopilot if required. 4. Press auto-hover button.

I want my pilot armed with Ak-74, shoot enemy soldiers, blow up stuff, knows some knife fight and Kung fu, supplied a medical kit, knows how to rig an IED on the expected path of enemy convoy, knows how to hotwire civilian cars, knows how to do side missions to earn reputation among local gangs...and occasionally goes to local strip clubs

I usually fly very slow in threat area (10 - 15 m), and keep my eyes and skhval display open.

My woman in the cockpit always reminds me to gear down once I am below 15m. Adjusting safe radar alt before taking off won't hurt :)

Other helicopter in close combat. The auto-pilots start to fight with you when you try to track his ass.

I usually use route mode to keep my chopper in the desired direction. Say, changed the heading to 170 deg, applied route (no waypoints), disabled route.

Every penny is worth of it. Infact, I reserved finance for A-10 and Ah-64 and Mi-28 and Mi-24 addons :joystick:

I think you shouldn't go for online without doing proper training. For me hover was a challenege because simply I didn't know that the speed meter/display should be in HUD prior to applying auto-hover.

I have Saitek throttle Quadrant with X-52 Pro (stick and throttle unit). Collective is attached with X-52 Pro throttle unit. Middle lever of Quadrant is for both rotators thrust. Left lever is for wheel brake pressure. Right lever is empty for now. The Quadrant also gives me 6 more buttons which I use for targetting system.

yes skydoc. I was in the middle of lauching a Vikhr on an incoming Mi-24 and screen went to standby mode. The next thing I know is me is shot down by Shturm :(

1. GPU is as cool as the dead body in morgue :) 2. The problem is only with BS. No problems with other applications while watching in full screen 3. Yes, when I turn off standby then it works 4. Monitor is ok. Lock On works without any problems I am using Windows 2008 x64 Standard edition.

Hello, There's one annoying problem. I searched for the solution, and unable to find any. Hence, my post. While playing (and not using keyboard and mouse, only joystick), my monitor goes to standby. What might be the reason? Atleast when I see movies from DVD, my monitor doesn't do so. If it is a problem faced by many people, will there be a patch/word around to address this problem? I don't want to disable standby opinion by going to power settings in Windows. I would like to have the same facility as video players provide. Thansk in advance :)

So how will it work against human players in fighters? I am not sure how are you going to survive a fighter attack when you are flying a Ka-50. The fighter jockey will fire like 6 AAMs for a kill in his stats (and to feel better) , and you will have less than a few seconds to save your butt, let alone responding him back with the same love. I am writing this after my experience on LOCK ON severs. My personal record is evading 12 AAMs in Su-25 in one sortie against human players when I was hunting ground targets:joystick:
