Distance stuff is like shagrat said. The radio stuff is from the CTTS script and I use the frequencies (x*2 mod 58) + 30 for VHF where x the group number. If there are too many groups, there will conflicts and if that really is a problem, I'll switch the offset to 31 or so. Any more feature requests? ;) It was fun to build that feature and I want to improve my newly aquired skills.

I now can fly and land pretty fast with the Huey. 5 minute flight to find out you an underscore in a variable name is fun. At least it works now.

When all the missing features are implemented, it will be a nice COIN aircraft! I want to use both the Hawk and the C-101 for this. Currently I just fly the MiG-21 for the Task :D

New open beta patch and still no fix :(

At least 5 times. The first time I showed up, a SAM surprised me (and the JTAC ;) ), my other loss was a crash into the ground and I once lost part of my electrics (don't know why…). The rest of my landings were just rearmings. I've fired hundreds of rockets, a dozen S-24B rockets (WOW!), a few gunpods and I screwed up a few bomb deliveries. It was very fun and something I couldn't do without a proper human JTAC since you can't see shit with your Mark I eyeballs at 5000m.

Wolf Rider, are you scared of "cheating" in a simulator? I don't think it is a problem in the Falcon community. Falcon has smart scaling and a (small) competitive scene.

No need for the Warthog, it works fine.

The easy way is to just load the missions one by one and not in a campaign. They are in "DCS World\Mods\aircraft\Ka-50\Missions\EN\Campaigns" I have the same problem with crashing missions. The "deployment"-campaign is totally broken.

VFR flying does not use ATC usually. It really is: Don't fly to high, don't fly into controlled air space without calling ATC and you are good. The pilot has to manage everything on his own. He doesn't even need to use his radio unless he lands at controlled airports or enters controlled air space. Until 2006 (in germany) motorized planes didn't even need a transponder, it was optional. It still is in many countries. NEVER! I WANT IT NOW! :D

The EC-135 and the BK 117 in X-Plane. Helicopters in FSX are just a bad joke. Do not underestimate X-Plane. The flight model for helicopters is very good. See for example the Dreamfoil Bell 407 and 206 which is just spot on according to pilots and my personal experience as a pure sim pilot. The EC 135 model is used by many pilots to train, at home and in full simulators. To clarify: The default helicopter models in X-Plane are pretty good, some third party models are exceptionally good. The autopilot in modern helicopters like the BK 117 and EC 135 works more or less like the autopilot in the KA-50 in that you specify an attitude and altitude the system manages the rest. Of course they handle completely differently except for that. If anyone wants to try the EC 135: It is freeware and available here http://www.rotorsim.de/en/ec-135/features.html

I wouldn't have bought it at full price because of the usual SFM-only and no CC version complaints. Now I'll may get it, just in anticipation of the updates.

The Hawk will get a major update to the cockpit, but until then it doesn't look very nice. My current "trainer" is the MiG-15bis :D

Does anyone of you know if the gun camera footage is saved somewhere? That would be a great feature for AARs.
