  1. I would hope it would run smooth on your $2500 machine.
  2. You do know you can get the OEM version relatively cheap. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116488
  3.....yeah I have that problem too.
  4. You can play BS with the keyboard if you want. Of course having a hotas, pedals and Track IR makes things a lot easier. As for the campaign I don't think its dynamic. I could be wrong though.
  5. Speaking as an American or 'Merikan I guess in LEET talk (?), this numb nut speaks for himself.
  6. Select close to tray in Track IR options and will be in your task bar. No open window.
  7. :shocking:...yeah keep telling yourself that.
  8. What do you mean? The pinkie switch is either a shift button enabling three additional programmable button modes or it is a programmable button in modes 1, 2 and 3. Which ever you decide to make it is determined in the profile editor. The modifiers in game are keyboard buttons/keys. i.e.: shift, control, alt. You can't make the pinkie button a modifier in the game but you can program it in the profile editor to just about anything under the sun. Well I can anyways. :)
  9. Ft. Rucker huh? I'm in Albany (Leesburg actually), GA. Howdy neighbor. Enjoy the Shark.
  10. Su-25T and A10. Get Ruggbutts terrain mod. Really makes Lock On a beauty.
  11. Maybe peeps see DCS first on the main forums page and thats where they intended to post so they don't look any further? Maybe we shouldn't be so intense about such trivial bs? Maybe we should let the mods worry about such things?
  12. yes Locutus.
  13. Moved...lol. I guess this thread is not hard core sim enough.
  14. That sounds like Joe Satriani to me. :dunno:
  15. IF... you listened to music whilst driving your Shark and dealing death and misery to those who art thou enemy what would it be? For me: Rage Against the Machine Black Sabbath Iron Maiden You? (and if your not so inclined then don't reply)
  16. Oh no... the dreaded F word. :) Admitting you are one is the first step toward recovery.
  17. Hear, hear (here, here?)....well put bro.
  18. I mash the hell out of my rudder. :) No, but really to turn left you have to close your right eye and hold your left ear lobe with your left index finger and thumb. :megalol:
  19. Not that big a step.
  20. Just create a simple mission with no way points or anything and theres your free flight. Or here use this. Its off runway so you can practice the start up procedure. Thats why I created it. myfly.miz
  21. It was Ubisoft Romania that put out the garbage that is Hawx.
  22. It may be different than the default, but once you've had TIR for a while its all pretty standard. Its not rocket science. Maybe I am not being understanding enough to the new TIR recruits. Apologies. :)
  23. By the way I started this thread not you guys. An American educated in America. Writing code is writing code, whether for a sim or fps. I think you are reaching. I would give credit to the American youth for writing code for games that will sell. That is the capitalist way. My initial question was in prose and asking why the Russians not the East, are interested in spending their time developing sims instead of other fodder. I have 5 and 7 year old boys and they want nothing more than to spend their time on my PC not their consoles. PS2, DS, PSP and WII. And they read and write just fine for their age. Americans want immediate gratification and that is the attraction to console gaming. It has nothing to do with their intellect. We are a community of convenience. We introduced this to the rest of the world (like many many things) and you all are eating it up. Complacency and apathy are king not PC gaming.
  24. Sorry to be negative here but a TrackIR profile is pretty standard, IMO. Why would you need to have someone set that up for you? Its not very complicated or subjective for that matter. Turn head, turn view. Pretty simple really. Sorry this may be the Cabernet Sauvignon speaking. (Louis Martini. Sanoma, 2006=yummy)
