IR Laser does not get shut down when getting masked

Hey guys, IR laser is not getting turned off when getting masked resulting in you being able to laze at your own cockpit, through your plane and what not. Easy to reproduce, just get in a plane at night and start lazing with IR/BTH. Then slew your stuff around and see how you can laze the impossibelest angles. -
I've been creating a mission and I get hard lock ups when using the editor. It varies between the times it does it but I can pretty much garantee that it will lock up. The game locks up in such a way that I get no response from my PC, not even numlock response on the keyboard. Mostly happens when working with triggers, making new triggers, moving them up/down in the ME. This is really horrible because I barely touch the awesome mission editor because of all these crashes... I even once had a crash just reading the encyclopedia in the mission editor. I was running the attached mission. When I crash the last 0.5 or 1 second of the last sound I heard gets looped. Someone told me - hey man, maybe it's your PCI X-Fi Xtreme Music card failing and since its PCI Windows can't recover from the driver crash. So yeah... Is this reported? Reproduced? Try beforementioned sound card. Are there people with the same issue? IF yes - what's your sound hardware? Thanks in advance. CO 8 BorderPatrol v2.7 Mega.miz

Grimes man... This is simply amazing! This is SO... GOD... DAMN... EASY with the script now! I am someone who has no idea of DCS scripting, I have always done the stuff with the ME, a clusterFK of triggers. Thank you so much man! -
The only thing wrong with this mission is the crazy leadout. Waaay too much stuff, too heavy, too much drag. I can understand though why the airfield is neutral - so you HAVE to get to the tanker. BTW the tanker is way to fast... You can barely get to it and keeping up with it to refuel pretty much costs 100% throttle. Please make it so it flies at let's say 160-180 air speed. Not ground speed. Another issue about the tanker - it happened to me once that my mates and I wanted to refuel mid-mission and the mission failed because we left the AO... But all we wanted was to air refuel? Still a great mission. :)

Hey! A great thing that I randomly discovered yesterday: Trim perfectly and USE YOUR total velocity vector!!! Just keep it in the middle! What I used to do is - I had my eyes on the tanker all the time so although I was not boom hunting I had no clue whether my plane is flying straight or a bit up/down. So from now on I am using a combination of looking at the TVV and keeping it in the middle -> making sure that I dont go up/down and looking at the boom a couple of times to make sure I am not too slow/fast/left/right. :)

Hey guys, I sometimes have the issue that after some time playing my external view becomes "night vision" mode... It's superbright and green. I can't see a thing. I once locked my account by accident and then came back in again and it was fixed... So yeah, it seems rather random. I would like to know if there is something like "outside night vision mode" and how the hell I am triggering it by just pressing F1 and F2 a lot. :-/ Maybe it's a bug? I don't know. Man I dont know whats going on. :D

Thanks! I didn't know that. :) Yes, when I was testing TARS today all we did was sit on the ramp, turn up the battery and try to talk to eachother, hehe. Should have thought about trying the APU. Thanks again. :) -

Ah! Now I did some testing and... In order for the FM and AM radio to work the APU/Engine generator needs to be running. When I tested it I only tested with BATTERY... And with battery only you will be able to use UHF radio only. Is this how its done in real life as well? -

FM and AM radios are not really working. We can only communicate over UHF on DCS World A10. FM and Am radios are shown as 000.000 in teamspeak while UHF shows proper frequencies. -
So it makes no difference whether I engage the tank from behind or front? Could you please elaborate? Does the angle of attack matter? :-/ I am a bit confused due to posts in this thread...

First of all - these training missions are REALLY REALLY good. Once you have done them 3-10 times (I did the start up 10 times at least, now I am very comfortable with starting up the aircraft and understanding the systems, fixing errors etc.) you will be very familiar with the plane. :) Online: Your best bet really is to look for groups like the Spare Time Pilots or Flight Sim Fanatics. There are several of those on the internet, check the signatures of users in this forum. Go on their forums, register, say hi, grab the TS and server data and fly with these folks. It's a bit of work, not just "hop in and done" but it's the best way to get to know new people and have good fun. That's how I did it and the results are great. :) Very cool people, check em out. :)

Try putting polling rates to 125 any way you can. Just for testing. Effin Naturalpoint support is not showing indications of solving this issue, rather want a work around... God dammit, they are getting old man... ClipPro breaking all the time, software issues like this... Nah, not great - especially if you look at the price tags. -

Problem solved. It has to do with "polling rate", the rate at which the computer checks the USB port for device activity. Normal rate is 125/s (125hz). Then TrackIR works normally. Anything above that (250,500,1000) makes TrackIR lag when using mouse buttons for actions. Unfortunately - if you don't launch with the Logitech Gaming Software (I hate cumbersome autostarts) the default polling rate is above 125... Screw that, Naturalpoint needs to fix this. N oother program has issues with a 1000hz polling rate. -

Hey guys! My problem: I bind the Pause, Center and Precision functions to my mouse keys. When I press the keys for the first times there is a delay of up to 3-5 seconds before TIR executes the function. If I press the same button again and again a few times the delay shortens and the response is instant, like it should be. So basically - if I play for a while and want to pause my TIR and press the button - I need to wait a few seconds... It's like the mouse buttons "cool down" and need to "warm up" again in order to have an instant reaction. This problem does not appear when I bind the functions to keyboard keys. I am using a Logitech G400, no special software or anything... I used a MX518 before and there was not a single problem like this. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks in advance.

I had an awesome 3and something hour session today on that shit. Awesome man, friggin good stuff... Force, please set tanker speed to 270, it will be at 205-220 indicated air speed. Currently they are tumbling around 160... It's too slow mate. Unfortunately you would have to edit the briefing and the picture that comes with the mission... Please change tacan to channel X, shows the distance. I don't know how it is in real life but... I don't know why you would set it to Y, it complicates gameplay for no reason that I can see. -

Maybe the programs are changed in World? Or maybe re-positioned? Or maybe the comments are not saying which program the computer will pick for a threat but give you a general idea of what CM you should use? I am confused now... I want the computer to pick the CM but I want to release them. So I want to change the picked CM programs. But should I change A,B and C? Or A, B, M and L? Confusing post, sorry. But so am I, heh. I will probably do some testing now. Just get into radar range of a SAM and watch my CMS pick a program. How do I simulate a IR threat? Does the CMS detect an IR threat when there is a missile launch without a prior radar lock? Thanks in advance!
