  1. Hey guys, I made tracks now. Server is not dedicated, I host the session. Please check them out and note how impact points are different. They are not as severe, I have seen worse (see video in 1st post) but then again this is not a dedicated server so ping etc. does not matter that much. Pilot's view - me, host.   2. Absolutely agree. It would be not that much of a deal if ED opened their config files to the commuty. I am sure that we are able of scaling, assigning and even creating our own particle effects... Look at the WarFX mod for arma 2.   3. Thanks. So at least it helped for the servers, eh. I am not sure about that Kuky. In saved games\dcs\config\network there is is a value of 243200 (bytes?) for me, which is ca 230 KiloByte. Pretty much exactly what I entered into the net_types.lua. And it would make sense. But then again - funny, I once hosted "assault on mineralnye vody" and SOMEHOW my upload went up to 290-350 KB/s. It's crazy because that's what my netLimiter program told me but I know for a fact is not possible since I only got 250KB/s up. :-/ The mission is MASSIVE and I had about 6-8 clients connect and sit in the pit for me. Weird weird weird.
  4. Danke Memphis. I started with DCS A-10 and I never played lock on and never looked into the forums. :-/ All I did was search DCS World forums for "mini hud". I did not know this feature came from FC2.
  5. Hey guys, in the mission editor you have the possibility to place IP points. There are many options on them, such as Scale, Navigation, VNAV, VANGLE etc. and I have no idea how to use them. :-/ The GUI manual also has no information on it. Do you guys know anything about it?
  6. Hey guys, I just starded using SL mod and I tried building a units_firing script from scratch using the "latest" functions of SLmod. This... Is... So.. Sexy! :D Amazing. All the new features like declaring variables etc. works so nice! And I am a total god damn noob at coding! Question: Is there a way to put units that are inside a zone into a table? If unit inside zone -> put into table? Also - is there a way to run this straight from the mission editor? Or do I always have to have the MP client up and running for this?

  11. Hey guys, it seems that as long as the command unit is alive the BUK-11 site can shoot missiles at targets even if the big search radar is down. Is that how it works in real life? I thought the tracking radars on the launchers needed some "rough" info on the target before they could engage and keep tracking the target. Is that how it works in real life? :-/

  18. Hey guys, I am an A-10 pilot and have no idea how the KA50 works. I just got told by a buddy in my mission that his chopper started spitting out warnings due to... Here we go... COLD, his stuff froze. It's -4°C at ground level. I can NOT imagine that RUSSIANS build a chopper that freezes under these conditions... Maybe it's a bug? What can you guys tell me! Does a KA-50 really become a little bitch when it gets a bit cold? Thanks in advance!
  19. Hey guys. If unit is set to immortal it will still take damage from MP clients. I set a tanker to immortal so noobs cant crash into it/shoot it down and ruin the mission for everyone else. But unfortunately this does not work that well... Look at the track. It's about 1 min long. When I shoot the tanker (I am the host of the session) nothing happens, but when my client buddy shoots at it, it takes damage. I am not sure how this works for other units (Ground units, choppers) but I am sure this is a bug. tanker not immortal.trk
  20. GOT IT! Watch carefully from 85 seconds. As soon as you get the very first missile warning tone, pause game, go into external view and look at the SAM site... You see that it JUST launched the missile, there is no LOS to it but I still got the warning. And well, a lot of inconsistent stuff happening after that. Also, do you mind explaining "SAM = speed bump"? I never got that but I keep thinking about it whenever I see your signature. :-/ MLW thru hill.trk
  21. That is very good to know Tharos, thank you a lot man... Sure calms me down. :) I might be able to deliver a short track soon. I am basically stripping down the mission where it happened, just leaving the SAM system and letting an AI follow me a few thousand feet above me so he gets launched at and I dont see the missile launch. I am already getting the warning even before I can see the missile pop over the hill... I am just perfecting the track.
  22. Fast forward time. It works for me no problem. I understand fast forwarding might screw up playback but for me it did not do that. Plane & BUK sites were still where they were when I played the mission. I was not able to reproduce this bug with OTHER hills in the game by using single player mode. This happened in MP. I will try to create a shorter track but I didnt know that fast forwarding was a big problem. :( Sorry. No insults taken of course. Jinja, yes, demanding. Think business here. Full price paid, not 100% working product delivered. DCS is an amazing piece of software but there is a bunch of very deep detail stuff not working right. I do a lot of track posting lately, short pieces if possible (see gun ammo change & pipper change bug, SU25 gun pods firing non stop for other mp clients) and I expect a "noted" from a tester.
