The PVI is no meteorological computer. It doesn't compute the wind speed and direction, it displays it. This is what the FM says and this is what happens. I just don't know if this information is being uploaded during preparation (maybe along with ABRIS data) or if it is being received through SAT-TLK (or DL). EDIT: In other words. I don't know the sourece of the data.

Dragon, bin halt Sesselpuper und klappere deswegen auch mit dem G940 rum - FFB 4tw ;) :D sobek, ich denke, er versucht, über Kurven und Deadzones das Losbrechmoment um die Mittenfixierung zu kompensieren. Ich bezweifle aber, dass man damit wirklich Erfolg hat. :/ Ich verstehe auch nicht, warum TM da keinerlei Variations- oder Einstellmöglichkeiten beipackt.

Ich hatte eine ähnliche Erfahrung mit dem X52. Das Ding war wirklich dermaßen exakt, dass es schon an Haarspalterei grenzte :D Ein bischen Eingewöhnungszeit später wollte ich es nicht mehr missen und hatte alle "Beruhigungsmaßnahmen" (Deadzones, Empfindlichkeit, usw.) wieder zurückgestellt. :) Die Mittenfixierung des TM WH hat mich bislang aber von einem Kauf absehen lassenm, weil sie mir zu extrem und scheinbar nicht einstellbar/abschaltbar ist. Da ist der Saitek dem Markt um Generationen voraus...

In den WP-Optionen gibt es doch nur die Option "Landen"? Zumindest kann ich mich gerade an nichts abweichendes ("Landen auf dem Vorfeld" oder so) erinnern. Wenn Du den WP setzt, ist es erstmal egal, wo er genau liegt. Wenn Du ihn dann auf "Landen" stellst, wandert er automatisch auf den Runway.

Der X52 hat am Throttle einen kleinen Pinökel der, wie eine Maus, zwei Achsen steuert.

The guardian reports the first female Red Arrows pilot to be reassigned, supposedly as a consequence of two tragic accidents in 2011. According to the article, "defence sources" said these accidents had an "adverse effect" on her, finally leading to her reassignment. While I can well imagine the stress these pilots have to deal with, I'm surprised to see a pilot to be retired after just three years. Anyone with some more insight/knowledge williing to comment? Search the forum for "Interactive Cockpit Trainer". While this isn't an image, it might guide you through the learning process. Or just activate the "Cockpit Labels" (I think it's named that way, but I might be wrong) option to show the labels when hovering with the cursor. That's the way I do it.

Sorry, aber die "Macht" liegt nach wie vor beim Kunden. Auch wenn Starrflügler eher die Massen interessieren und damit natürlich auch die Angebotsseite massiv beeinflussen, kann jeder über seine Kaufentscheidung direkten Anteil an der aktuellen und an zukünftigen Entwicklungen nehmen. Und gerade bei ED hatte ich immer schon den Eindruck, dass der Käufer sehr viel stärker berücksichtigt wird als bei anderen Produkten. Hardcore Sims sind ein Nischenprodukt und wie bei allen Nischenprodukten sind die Hersteller extrem darauf angewiesen, den Käufern die Wünsche von den Lippen abzulesen.

Slightly OT - Sometimes I'm really surprised to see "sim pilot's greed" never ending. Heyho, we already have a cockpit with almost every buttton, switch, lever, gauge, etc. working. Out of the Box! No need to fetch/buy and install any add ons and stuff - just start the engines and fly... :) But maybe, this is the very reason for so many of us (including but not limited to me) continuously asking for more?

It's simply not implemented. I'm not aware of any specific reasons, though.
