Hi all, Flew the A10A for the first time on the weekend and noticed my cockpit textures were all blurry except for the dial faces. Is this a bug? If so how can I fix this?

Hi Guys, Any ideas on how I can get the videos to show up on Windows Phone 8.1?
-
That's great skill Wernst ... Definitely going to aim to land like that. :pilotfly: :joystick:

Thanks cminer :)

Really appreciate this ClearDark. Will check it out when I get him from work.

Ok, so while taxiing you need to use the brakes to steer and line up etc. Thanks guys.
-
I'm finding taxiing to be a pain, am I correct in that you steer with the brakes and not the rudder? If so, what the best way to keep in line with the runway when taking off before getting up enough speed when rudder control kicks in? Also does anyone have a profile for the Warthog or just a picture of what they've mapped controls too? Many thanks.

[REPORTED] Fw 190 Cockpit Bar! (answer Post #173)
SimHog replied to Krupi's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Surely, after all this time, someone, somewhere in the world either lives near an airfield or knows someone who does where work is being carried out on a live restoration of an FW. All it would take is polite letter asking permission to take a series of measured photos while sitting in the cockpit. The person taking the photos would need to take note of their own height, sit on the pilots seat with something that can replicate the thickness of the parachute pack of the day and take some photos making sure they're at eye height and with the same FOV as they see it without the camera. Just a thought. -
Well I can't say that I'm surprised. I'm hopeful that I'll at least get the aircraft I pledged for and the printed manuals. I'm actually more reassured that DCS has taken over the project. I don't have any malice towards him, however I'll never put money down on any project Luthier is heading up in the future.
-
This for me too. I really wanted those hard copy manuals however. Was so looking forward to it.
-
Very nice finish. What wood did you use and I'm assuming you got it CNC'd?
-
Here's mine so far. The side recesses are too narrow for the G940 throttle so I made two boxes to raise the throttle which clear the side panels. Worked out quite well. Still need to finish off the seat and give a lick of paint and I should be ready to go.

The way I'm reading it from Kickstarter is ... The flyable aircraft you select will be available to you when they're released for DCS WW2. You'll note that the P51 and FW190 are selectable too, but if look at the main Kickstarter page there is the below statement ... You can also select multiples of each aircraft if you want to gift them as was stated by Ilya in update 21 The rewards section also has the P51 and FW190 listed as in the flyable but they're for DCS World. Now is there going to be a difference between the P51 / FW190 in DCS World and WW2? No, as under the FW190 & P51 sections on the Kickstarter page there is the following notes ...
-
possible to gift alpha access?
SimHog replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
From Update 21 ... So you should be able to, maybe not now as I don't see the options to specify "gifting" accounts but I've basically set two of each aircraft for myself and a mate. -
I just think it's actually rude that there has be no word on the pledge items. While I understand we're all donating money, there is no respect shown to the backers in terms of communication. I mean some backers were meant to get Skype time with Ilya. If he had of kept his promise, these Skype sessions would have been posted all over YouTube and shared. That's a missed opportunity for exposure IMO.
-
Well you can't post on the comment section on a Kickstarter project unless you're a backer, those that say they haven't received their keys I would say are legit. I personally put in $220 and haven't received any email or notification on any of the extra items I pledged on.
-
Meh ... still no mention of the matrix and physical items promised during kick starter, its a month overdue.
-
Starting get annoyed at the lack of updates and communication from Ilya. Where's all the physical items promised during kick starter?
-
Thinking of buying this but is it really hard to learn?
SimHog replied to Dudester22's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
The way I'm reading it is you have your movement curves set too high, or your using the 'Linear' profile. Trying using a profile, or create your own, with a dead zone. -
I have the G940 and haven't had any issues using it in DCS or the many other flight sims I fly. The FFB is a must IMO, especially for trimming in Black Shark. There has been a lot of noise about them having pot spiking (edit: in the throttles) but I've never had it and I bought my on release. I could've been lucky with that but really, I've had pot spiking on every stick set I've ever owned in the past X52, Cougar, CH. It's nothing a visit to your local electronic store couldn't fix. For the price you get FFB, HOTAS and Rudder Pedals, can't loose really. Edit: Another benefit to the G940 over the others is that you can adjust the FFB, Spring and Dampening Strengths via the software. Thus you can make the stick as stiff as a Vigra wand or as limp as a wet noddle. Setting all the sliders to 0% it's very responsive in term of input and has very little centre play.

+1 Rep (if it works here) for organising these training sessions. I wish I could join

The one thing I found when I first started flying in IL-2 was I had to unlearn each time I decided to fly a new type of plane. In one example I went from Me-109 to Fw-190 and it took me a while to get the right 'mind set' that I wasn't using a turn n' burn aircraft any more but a boom n' zoom type. The Stang is very similar to the Fw, it's not a turn n' burn aircraft, you have to keep your speed high and think about if I try and turn with the AI how much 'energy' am I going to use and what will the benefit be. It's always about effort (energy) vs reward (firing solution) in my opinion.

For A2A combat I found this little gem helped me back in the days of Falcon 4 .. and yes I know it was released to compliment Falcon 3.

Dam my time zone. Update is out and I'm my way to work.
