  1. Are you sure? I'm using TrackIR and I'm encountering this behavior with head tracking on. Head tracking is superior to mouse movement. I have TrackIR pause binded to middle mouse button and it is working flawlesly. Try to push Freetrack-pause button, then LAlt+C to enable mouselook and everything should be OK...
  2. VRS tuning was already included in DCS 1.2.4.12179.160 released on 5-15-2013, it was mentioned in changelog http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1758651&postcount=4 I didn't noticed any change from that update, and changelogs didn't mentioned any change also.
  3. It's irrelevant if it's final or not. We're discussing the current state.
  4. I have another (imho) useful advice: Pick her up into hover in the ground effect and memorize the actual collective setting. This collective seting is very important, because right now it generates just the right amount of lift, that is needed, when you're out of ETL and you want a safe descent to exact point like FARP, rooftop etc. You'll find that you will descent gently like feather and it will end safely on the pillow of ground effect. But be careful, below this position the VRS is waiting!
  5. Options/Controls/UH-1H - find rows - Flexible Sight Up - Flexible Sight Down - Flexible Sight Left - Flexible Sight Right and bind it with whatever buttons you like
  6. I didn't notice that, but even if the reaction force caused by rocket recoil is correct in its size and direction, it would be imho highly reduced due to BS's higher weight. If you are correct, the rocket motor should push the plane a little, until the forward force overcomes the initial friction between the rocket and the tube. The launcher tube is open on both sides, so there shouldn't exist any other force except the friction. Now the recoil feels like shooting big caliber gun. I can compare it to the RPG-7, I shot it personaly during my army service. It has very little recoil. It's based on the same principle > 2:25
  7. You can try it, without any changing of the miz file. Just launch it as normal SP mission. If it would be hard to play, change one Huey to "player" and add yourself some AI wingman(s).
  8. ...oh come on. There are few things I know about how things behave in our world, aka Physics :smilewink: What I wrote is the only explanation I can imagine. If the rocket is at first unlocked and after that the rocket motor is ignited, there won't be any (or minimal) recoil, caused only maybe by the rail friction when leaving it. ...but if it is locked on the rail for some split of the second during motor ignition until it gains full power and after that it is unlocked and leaving the rack, then there can be some reacting force on the airframe. Edit: but this reacting force should cause some pendulum effect, which should push the COG of airframe forward. That's what I'm asking about, is it as I wrote, or is there some other explanation of the rocket recoil?
  9. Maybe dumb question, but... What causes the rocket recoil force on the Huey? Is the rocket held for some time in the rack while it's motor is already burning?
  10. Exactly, me too  ...and Tomahawk Yes, the one and only relevant indicator for making decisions abut the future direction of developing modules. Agree. Active members of this forum are only the top of the iceberg above the ocean of all sim-pilots :smilewink:
  11. Thanks
  12. Please guys, can someone reupload it? I cant download it from original source
  13. Yea, this was the first thing I noticed when I came back to Akula. Can anyone elaborate that?
  14. Don't look for problems, where there's none...
  15. What about trying to disable "Central position trimmer mode", or add a little deadzone to your axis?
  16. If you have two-stage trigger on your hotas, you can set cannon-fire to the first and weapon-release to the second stage. I'm using it too.
  17. https://www.google.cz/search?q=uh-1h&hl=cs&rlz=1T4PRFB_csCZ496CZ497&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=mhSeUdjAF6Wr4AT__ICgAw&ved=0CDUQsAQ&biw=1680&bih=933#imgrc=_ -you can see both types of the exhaust IMHO that shaped pipe prevents those hot turbine flaps from being seen by IR sensors of ground-air missiles. I think that it is designed as removable accesory. ...and it reduces tail boom polution :D
  18. You should not mix up things. EDGE is not a desert, it's a phantom of a new graphic engine :D
  19. Same for me. And I don't hear the force trim clickclack, only the sound of pressing the button. I did the fix, following precisely those paths.
  20. Vikhr has the advantage of switchable proximity fuse. Kh-25ml has only impact fuse, so it must make a direct hit.
  21. That new Tbilisi course is hard as hell! Thanks for that! Great work, great challenge
  22. Some Reno racing style events would be beautiful, with some AI/client "pace plane". Your time is quite good, I'm stuck with 176 (without WEP) and I'm not able to make it any better :( Are you flying it with WEP enabled?
  23. It's a bird? It's a plane? It's sim pilot! :megalol:
  24. Hey daddy, I wanna fly too, pleeeeeease. And I wanna the one with teeth on its nose! :D This is my 4yo trainee :pilotfly:
