Only the VPC MongoosT-50 family of products are on sale, so you're not missing anything with the extension set! The cams are also not compatible with the VPC WarBRD (it has a different gimbal!). Where are you looking? The VPC MongoosT-50CM is definitely in stock!

Designed initially with atmospheric flight sims in mind, the VPC MongoosT-50 cams exhibited an increasing non-linear tension towards the outer edges of the sticks deflection. This behaviour allows for greater control of of the aircraft as you can feel when you are coming up to 100% deflection easily, granting the pilot the ability to fly right on the limits based on muscle memory alone. The VPC MongoosT-50 Flightstick has also become popular with many space-sim pilots as well - pilots that prefer different control nuances for absolute accuracy. As standard atmospheric flight physics do not apply in space, we've been requested to create a new set of cams to account for this. VPC are very pleased to announce, that in our continued efforts to supply the community with what they really want, we have successfully designed a new set of CosmoSim cams for the VPC MongoosT-50 Flightstick! These results were created with the VPC MongoosT-50 Flightstick, 125mm (50mm + 75mm) extensions with the medium springs, and pre-tensioners loaded 1/2 of max. Different extensions and springs will change the total force required of each cam, but the response curves should remain relatively consistent. Our new CosmoSim cams exhibit less of a center detent than both the 1-Dot (40% less) and 2-Dot (25% less) cams and the force required at the outer edges of deflection is also significantly less than both the 2-Dot (40% less) and 3-Dot (55% less) cams. The force required at max deflection is slightly increased over the 1-Dot cams (12.5% higher) to aid in the overall centering and performance of the cam due to the lack of a center detent. These cams will be available for purchase from our http://www.virpil.by webstore!

► Su-35 First Flight 10th Anniversary Sale It's no secret that when we created a product named the VPC MongoosT-50®, VIRPIL CONTROLS designers took inspiration from the controls of a real Russian fighter jet. At the first announcement of the project a little over a year ago, many immediately guessed which aircraft was the subject matter. On February 19th 2018, it will be 10 years since the first test flight of Su-35 - a promising multifunctional, generation 4++ fighter jet. The flight duration was 50 minutes and the flight program was successfully completed in full. The Sukhoi Design Bureau test pilot, Sergey Bogdan, who is currently working on the T-50 test program (now designated Su-57), piloted the aircraft. Until now, the cockpit and all systems were classified as Top Secret, but despite this, one of the variants of the flightstick and throttle set was shown at MAKS-2015. It was captured in a number of photographs that were made available in forums. Only 2 years later, at MAKS-2017, the VPC MongoosT-50® flightstick and prototype throttle was available for all to test for themselves in an Su-27CM simulator. For the 10th anniversary of the first flight of the Su-35, and by popular demand, the VIRPIL CONTROLS team announces fantastic discounts in the official store http://www.virpil.by for all products of the VPC MongoosT-50® family! Now is a great time to purchase a professional flight sim setup with a discount of 20%! The sale event will last from 18/02/2018 to 28/02/2018, while stocks last. For those who already have their VPC MongoosT-50®, the VIRPIL CONTROLS team have a lot of exciting news about the project and developments on future projects following just after the Spring - not long to wait now! Thanks, VIRPIL CONTROLS

Durability Testing of the VPC WarBRD Mechanism The tests emulated the forces the mechanism will experience in normal use - although obviously exaggerated! The tests simulated what could be considered as 5 years of hard 8-hour day usage. Baur was sent this sample after the tests and he concluded that the unit was in fact slightly better due to the fact the contact points were slightly more polished after the intense tests! He was very pleased with the results and quality of the construction and encountered no unpleasant wear compared to the untested samples. It's worth noting that we do not actually recommend using the VPC WarBRD with extensions - this was done in the tests to exaggerate the load. :joystick:

Increasing the handle height anymore would make it quite uncomfortable/impractical. We believe we've got it set at the point where you get the most range, while also remaining comfortable! Can you please clarify which controls you're asking about? We are planning on releasing a more advanced VPC Configuration Suite  We've not thought about this for the MT-50 Throttle. We would rather design controls that would achieve the desired function from the start rather than bodging together an existing solution to do something else. 2-way hats have indeed swapped to 4-way hats due to popular demand

► VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle - Off to Production! The VIRPIL Controls team are proud to present the final version of the VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle, based on the modern Russian fighter jet. Realising that a new throttle is one of the most anticipated flight sim devices, we introduced an early concept in October 2017 for feedback from the community. This version was tested at MAKS-2017, not only by ordinary visitors to the expo, but also combat pilots and members of the top aerobatic teams. None of our previous devices have received as much feedback and community wishes as the VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle - the VIRPIL Controls team expresses great gratitude to all the virpils who took the time to provide feedback on the previously released concepts. Your help has enabled us to bring the VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle closer than ever to the ideal design! The final revision changes: Added LED backlighting which includes 3 mode and can be disabled entirely. Throttle axis mechanics have been completely redesigned, and are fully adjustable. This includes a tension adjustment and each lever has 2 completely customisable (and removable) detents. The length of the throttle handle stem has been increased. The base layout has been modified; the base has been widened by 2cm to allow for more comfortable operation of all the available controls. The main LED modes are Red, Green and combined for the final mode. We would like to hear from the community how you would like the LEDs to operate (and controlled) so that we can make the firmware accordingly. Due to these extensive changes, there may be some change on the previously announced price - this will be confirmed closer to the release. The release is scheduled for the end of the Q1 2018. Today - not just concepts, but renders of the final model are shown. These renders correspond to the exact model which has been sent for manufacture. Unfortunately we were not able to fulfill every wish and desire for the VPC MongoosT-50® Throttle - however, the feedback will help shape our future products as well! Stay tuned for further news on VPC products! Thanks, VIRPIL Controls

Hi MBot, can you please email warranty@virpil.com ASAP. We would like to take this unit back to see what's going on.
-
Hi MBot, that's certainly not normal. Can you open up the base and just check the springs and cams are mounted correctly?

Virpil Mongoose or VKB MCG Pro?
Cyph3r replied to Slick Fork's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Not yet! We estimate about 14 days order processing time due to the high demand we're catching up with - though feel free to email me at sale@virpil.com for an order update absolutely whenever  The dust covers were given out to our pre-order customers as a free gift as there were a few weeks of delays - however you can purchase it separately from our webstore :) -
The VPC Extensions do include the cables, however the combined length would only be 225mm, not enough for a floor mounted stick and we don't recommend adding any longer extensions on top of that.

Hi guys, quick video guide on using the software to update the firmware and calibrate + test the axes: Enable subs for written instructions!

Nope - if everythings okay as is, there's no real need at this stage to update the firmware :)

Welcome to team VPC! If you ever have any questions, just let me know  -
The total height of the VPC WarBRD and VPC MT-50 Grip would be ~32.5cm Look out for our next announcement which will go more in-depth with these points :) It will not have the same mounting holes at the VPC MT-50, but instead will be compatible with the VPC Desk Mount via an adapter plate (like our TMW adapter plates). As this is not intended specifically towards helicopter flight, it would be around about as good as the MT-50 in this regard, if maybe slightly worse due to the lack of some of the adjustment features. Yes! Full compatibility with everything that the MT-50 is compatible with. The VPC WarBRD is a collaboration project, featuring the latest iteration of the BRD gimbal design, with the efforts of both BRD and VPC.
-
It is just the name, it is suitable to pilot all the same aircraft as the MT-50
-
Great questions! Functionality regarding the grip support will be the same as the MT-50 Base. It's made from the same all metal construction as the MT-50 Base. The VPC WarBRD will have 2 spring types and 3 cam profiles. Nope - the spring pre-tensioner design is unique to the MT-50 gimbal. Gunning for my job? :joystick: But in all seriousness, we already have a large team of testers
