  1. Nope, you have to hold the zoom buttons to work. As soon as you release the view returns to normal. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  2. It only recenters the view, you can do it while still zoomed in. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  3. That's the problem, since DCS does the VR zoom as toggles, there isn't a normal view command, you just toggle off the VR zoom. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  4. No, I'm waiting to even setup tacan until I get handed off. I did a repair to DCS and tried again, still didn't work. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  5. I'll try again. Maybe it's my dcs install. I tried the harrier mission the other day and had the same problem, no f10 after AAR. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  6. I tried this mission yesterday, but after the AAR I didn't get the F10 option to call out completing the AAR.
  7. So I think that's the problem, I only want to use two of them. I want the picky switch aft to be normal view. Pinky switch middle (off) to be VR zoom. Then have pinky switch forward be spyglass zoom if possible. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  8. How to set up toggle switches (a tutorial) Can anyone let me know how to setup a three position switch for the new vr zoom? I want to use the pinky switch on my warthog throttle. Full back-normal view, middle-vr zoom, forward-spyglass zoom. Thanks! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  9. My rift s looks great. I can read the displays and hud no problem without zoom. Also, the group zoom is stupid fast in the f16, very performance looks at least as good as the harrier, way better than the f14 or f18. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Well now I have to know the question. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Sounds good Miles, no worries. Thanks for the update. I'll just keep using my mouse like a loser! [emoji854] Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  12. I wouldn't. The quest isn't as comfortable. Yes the colors are a bit better, but I don't think that would outweigh the frame rate. I wonder what ASW on a quest in DCS is going to feel like Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  13. That's why I have both. My Rift S is for flying and racing. My just normal VR gaming is all done in my quest. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  14. I have both the quest and Rift S. The quest is awesome as a portable vr solution, but I don't see it being better than the Rift S for PC gaming personally. As a standalone unit I love the quest' from a gaming/simulation standpoint I will be keeping my Rift S. For most "normal" people the Quest might be enough to try some PC vr having though. 15. I might do a repair to DCS, see if that helps. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  16. I've had problems to. I'll designate and hold on the tgp, the Maverick will slew to the target area, but it won't lock, is always just off the target. Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
  17. Crazy to say this, but looking at this thread made me check my system. I'm running a 9900k at 5.0 on all cores, RTX2080, and a Rift S. I checked my bios and the ram was defaulting to 2100mhz. I loaded the xmp profile and more it's up to the 3100 it's rated for and I swear the game is smoother. I especially notice it when in SP and I fast forward the time on long haul flights. Crazy this really did seem to help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I have found that not keeping a steady throttle helps. I am constantly moving the throttle forward and back half an inch of throw. If I am drifting away I bump it up an inch or two for one pulse, opposite if I am closing too much. The constant motion helps me to average out to smooth speed transitions. 19. If you are using a Rift, you can "grab" a window from the virtual desktop and pull it into VR space. Then pin in and it will stay in the VR game. You can still move and scale it as well. I use to do this a lot with dash apps for racing in vr. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I'm in North county if you need some help. I have a few spare headsets too if you need, lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. After I updated the Rift S today I was able to play for about an hour without any flashes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Tell me about it. In six months DCS has been my excuse for a Vive pro, rift S, RTX2080, and a MSI Meg MB i9-9900k combo. Ouch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. In DCS I don't know how well a 1070 is going to cut it with a Rift S. I had a great overclocked 1070 that ran my CV1 and original Vive fine in DCS, but with the Vive pro the 1070 couldn't cut it, ended up with a RTX2080. Runs great with the Rift S too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I get that every once in a while but usually when I first start a mission. In the Harrier I seem to start at the rudder pedals. I never even think about it as I usually recenter my view before every mission. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Go into UI layer in the control screen. You will want to map recenter view and vr zoom.
