  1. Silly question, but do you have the communication menu key bound to something on your hotas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I believe that's in the settings for Viacom in voice attack. I'm the settings I believe there are tickets boxes for show menus. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I see them a few times over an hour of playing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It sounds like your rift isn't centering properly, or maybe bad tracking? I would setup a room guardian and just turn off the boundaries in the options screen. I would agree that compared to the Vive pro the screen isn't sharper, but the screen door effect is better. The picture feels "Fuller." Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. So my IPD is 71.5 and honestly the Rift has been good for me. The blacks aren't as good but it's so much more comfortable than the Vive pro I've been using. Now I do use glasses so I can't use the whole view regardless, but it's so much more comfortable I'm sticking with the Rift S until the reverb. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have been waiting for the Reverb as well, that is really the one that I want. But other than the not quite as nice blacks, I feel like the Rift S is just as good as the Vive Pro I have been using (minus the built in audio) and is way more comfortable for me to keep on my head. Once the Reverb is in the wild in the USA I will probably try that. I really only use my computer vr for racing and flying.
  7. So for what it's worth, after a week of messing with my Rift S I had enough and setup the return with Amazon. But of course now they are out of stock, so I went to Best Buy and purchased a new one. What do you know? The new Rift works perfectly out of the box. No black screen issues, no DP cable issues. I never even restarted the Oculus software after plugging in and out my original Rift S ten times trying to make it work.
  8. I haven't had any tracking issues lucky. In my office with the blinds closed the tracking has been great. Just can't get the dang DP to stay connected. Or in reality think it's still connected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. So, an update. Turns out once I get the rift to work, I can exit DCS and hop back in as long as I don't exit the Oculus app. Once I do I have to restart the computer and unplug the DP cable to make it work again. I do feel the Rift S is way more comfortable than the vive pro. I do hate having to wear headphones as I can't use speakers with voice attack. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Oculus Rift S With DCS World Discussion i9-9900k, RTX 2080, 32gigs of ram, two 1tb nvme drives. Oculus plugged into the back of my MSI MEG Godlike motherboard. I restarted my computer a few times, repaired Oculus, restarted a few times, reseated USB & DP a few times, and now it's working again. Quick side note, the blacks are no where near as good as the vive pro, but you can see an improvement in the sub pixels. The image isn't any sharper at all, but it "feels" better to me than the vive pro. Even my giant head fits better with the Rift S than the vive pro. Haven't had this hard of a time even with the dk1 or dk2.
  11. So I gave up on the Rift S, boxed it up, requested the return label from Amazon, and fired up the Vive Pro. After a few minutes I said, "I have to make this work." Reinstalled the software from scratch, what do you know, it worked! Plaid a few games hopped into DCS. The blacks aren't anywhere near as good as the Vive, but it is much more comfortable for me. I took a break for an hour, and now the Rift won't work again. Unplugged both USB and the DP cable, still nothing. WTF.
  12. The headset shows connected, I can get audio from the headset. It's just the display port shows connected until I go to setup, then it stops. Everything shows green in the devices page, then setup says display port not connected but audio works. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah, updated all of the firmwares. Tried three different USB ports, I do get audio in the setup, just no picture. Tried all three display ports on my 2080, still nothing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. So my rift s showed up. Wanted to compare it against the vive pro, but can't get it to work. Keep getting display port errors on both my rtx2080 desktop and rtx 2060 laptop. Guess it's going back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I would be interested up as well. Busy dad life! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Try hitting "ALT-Enter to force fullscreen, that might help make everything fit. Be sure to change the resolution to include all three screens.
  17. I don't think there is a "next waypoint" but you can assign each waypoint to a key. I use voiceattack to tell jester to select a certain waypoint as needed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. I got that message too, but kept flying, saw the F117, then F10 to rtb again. I think it's a bug that the message comes across at all Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  19. I can't seem to hide the flight stick in the missions. The colors on that first mission is pretty dang good. The limits of NVG's in VR are still frustrating for the third flight, but still a blast.
  20. Sign me up as well! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  21. I noticed the same tonight in the F14. Really bad stutters and still had a CTD after the update. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  22. I just setup the navigation commands with voice attack and it's awesome. Telling jester to select steerpoint 1 and having him say Roger back is pretty cool. Really helps in VR as I use it for launching the car with the salute command. Sent from my SM-T827V using Tapatalk
  23. Setting up the correct IPD can help. I noticed the eye strain after moving to my Vive Pro from the Rift, but after changing the lens' out on my Pro that has really gone away. Not having the headset mounted correctly to your head can cause a big problem with clarity and the "sweet spot" being in the correct field of view. I love to complain about the resolution not being high enough even with the Pro, but I absolutely cannot go back to playing on a flat screen.
  24. I'm still looking for those settings. I upgraded to a Vive pro and a RTX 2080. In the air I can get away with shadows on low, but on the ground during a larger mission like Red Flag ones I have terrible stuttering with shadows on at all. Oh well. It is pretty though. I did swap out the lenses for the Gear VR ones and I personally think it's an improvement. My field of view is a little less but there is so much more clarity around center, I feel like I don't have to center whatever I want to read.
  25. That would be cool to make a highlight reel of shots from the targeting pod. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
