  1. Are you sure you didn't read one zero more? Maybe you could check size of the latest install files and consider download that.
  2. Sabre-TLA will send you password on your email within a day. You can PM him but when he see your purchase he will send you a mail. Last I know purchase system is not automated, so he must do that manually.
  3. Joebloggs, if you are interested in official A-10C training then search for Basic/Advanced Aircraft Training Qualification Course on forum and User files. It is paying third party product but worth every penny.
  4. I heard that Wags stated for PCPilot that new DCS 2.0 will have improved AI. So, I'm looking forward to it. :)
  5. User files are not part of the forum. They are part of the main web site http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/. Take a look on the bottom of the home page, under 'Downloads'.
  6. I had different issue with my wingman. He was full of ordnance (4*CBU-105, 6*Maverick) and not damaged. We were on about 25000 feet, enough fuel. On the ground many enemy air defenses. I gave him order to attack air defenses with guided bomb. He responded 'Unable'. Then I lower criteria and gave him order to attack air defenses. Again 'Unable'. Even on 'Attack ground target of opportunity' he responded 'Unable'. Then I gave up. After destroyed all SAM sites by myself, we descend on about 10000 feet. I was short on weapons so being desperate I tried once more 'Attack target of opportunity.'. This time he accepts the order and start attacking.... of course with Mavericks although targets was grouped and positioned perfect for CBU attack. Hope for second DCS version wingmans will get at least a little bit enhanced logic.
  7. There are several air refueling training missions in 'User files' section on DCS site. i.e. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/1112027/?sphrase_id=1120373
  8. Welcome to the community. I'm not professional pilot, so can't talk about flight model from my real life experience, but general opinion here is that A-10C flight model is pretty accurate. If you feel that your current joystick is too sensitive, go into axis options and set S curve. Default is linear. play with parameters. About WM Warthog HOTAS. I think you choose well. I'm keeping default linear sensitivity. The only issue I had, I felt the stick is too short so when I mount it on the chair he was too low. So I extended it with custom metal tube. (Here on the forum are some guys which is selling them.) In that way, I achieved several good things: better precision, less stickiness, more natural position. Edit: About TM Warthog stickiness and greasing fun, please refere to this thread: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=80787&highlight=warthog+greasing
  9. For me the whole point of this sim is that you learn something new and feel good because of that. Therefore, if you feel good, the mission is accomplished.
  10. Try to test it on some other computer to determine where is the problem. With your computer or with TM Warthog. If on the other computer you have same problem, create ticket on TM support center.
  11. I think that usb monitor should be enough. Because dcs supports multiple monitors. Also by editing lua file you can export cdu or mfcd with custom position and resolution on that addtional monitor.
  12. Maybe you can try Task Manager 'Always On Top' option in Option menu, so you don't need switching. Actually I read somewhere that DCS is using some simple multi threading. One thread for sound and one for the rest of app. As you have two cores, that is more or less optimized.

  14. I have mapped zoom axis on one slider, so it easy to set zoom while flying therefore enlarge HUD text too. Zoom is useful for other things not just HUD. I'm not sure about actual font size on HUD.
  15. Interesting catch HeadHunter! Just few comments. When writing larger posts I always use notepad app. Then copy-paste in browser. Browsers are not reliable. RAM - It is easy to check if you have lack of RAM. Just check Performance tab in Windows Task Manager while flying.
  16. Generally I'm avoiding dropping an ordnance in CCIP mode because it brings airplane closer to the ground and enemy weapons, both equally deadly. CCIP mode is good for last resort or for targets with weak or no defense according my experience.
  17. For GBU-12 I change this profile settings: Auto Lase: ON, Lase time: 10 seconds, CCRP. Don't forget tu push 'Save' button. Drop it from altitude no less than 8000 feet. Before dropping the bomb, set TGP as SPI, find target with cursor, push TMS up short to change in point targeting mode in case of moving target. When target following is operational, push TMS up long to lock on target. Than drop the bomb in CCRP mode and should hit the target. Hope this helps.
  18. Did you run throgh tutorial missions? They are good and helpfull for those things.
  19. Let's hope they will fix that in next update.
  20. Great! You won't make mistake. I think it is currently the best value for money on ED store. Also there is considerable amount of additional content there. Campaigns and missions. Check user files section on DCS web pages. ...and community support is great.
  21. I'm also experiencing huge drop of frame rate in A-10C while CBU is exploding. I have gigabyte geforce gtx 760.
  22. I think those two things are not comparable. It is much less work to update A-10 software comparing to develop whole new aircraft. We are talking about small refreshing update for A-10C here, not about year or two of development for whole ED team.
  23. I'm flying A-10C from 2011 and I would be happy to pay for module update also. What is current ED's attitude about this topic? No for now, Maybe, Yes for sure? Maybe somebody form ED could comment on this. Wags? I know that resources are limited, but the job could be delegated to the one of 3rd party devs.
  24. Hello guys! I'm in the similar situation like Puma. I'm flying the Hog for a while but I haven't had enough time to get into all details seriously. Anyway, I missed this kind of advises, so I want to thank you! I've started 'Operation Jackal' campaign but never finished because I was distracted with so many nice planes in DCS recently. Anyhow I'm coming back to the roots. So, here I am my dear Hog! I'm going to blow something up right now... after I remember start up procedure :) Thank you again!
  25. I agree, there is no successful protection developed yet except maybe very intrusive 'calling home' system... or keeping application online but this is not possible solution for DCS at this moment. Anyway, I don't believe that real simers are pirates.
