  1. Right. You don't need two legs to move around... you can jump on one. :music_whistling:
  2. Fri is right. If you don't have pedals you should acquire them in order to enjoy helicopter simulations. K-50 is great but if you are new in the flight sim world probably it will be easier for you to start with a plane. A-10C is great plane for that. K50, A-10C, P-51, Huy, Mi-8 all has interactive cockpits I suggest you to start wit A-10C, K-50 (if you have pedals) and free Su-25T. If you catch on these, you can get the rest of modules on the sale.
  3. I agree. Starting with F-15C is maybe inconvenient. F-15C is still in beta. Learning on incomplete product is not easy. You will never know if certain behavior is bug, or you didn't done something correctly. I recommend you to start with some finished and approved airplane such is A-10C. In addition to the F15 it has clickable cockpit and advanced systems modeling too. Take a look on product fidelity levels terminology here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=122801. F-15C is still WIP and probably will never be modeled in the same level of detail as the A-10C
  4. Bushmanny said well. On the other hand dogfight, in modern air combat is not primary desired skill. With modern fighters such is F-15C you should study BVR, using radars, sensors ... classic dogfight is last resort. But I'm not an expert. If you want to enjoy in classic dogfight I recommend you to try some WWII sim, or wait for DCS WWII. Before going into further study, it is recommended to read manual from DCS. Every module has detailed manual. To share your flight, experienced pilots, prefers saved tracks here on DCS forum. So, maybe there is no need to upload videos on youtube. Saved tracks should be enough. Good luck!
  5. Previous advice is ok if you have already installed 1.2.6. If don't have 1.2.6 installed, then it is best to download the latest versions of both - DCS World and A10C module http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/world/dcs_world/
  6. Great idea! Imagine how would you played if you had only one chance in a life.
  7. Then why are you following dcs forum? :music_whistling:
  8. I have recently ran into A-10C Advanced Aircraft Training Qualification campaigns/missions from Sabre-TLA. Great product from community member. I recommend it to add some juice to the game. Here is place to start: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98418 It is payware content but price is really reasonable.

    Release??

Hehe. Here in Croatia, we have few MiGs-21 also. But they are in really bad shape. I think that they are in Ukraina on remont at this time. I think that JNA had respecting air force for that time... but it is past tense. Anyway, we don't have good airplanes but we have great pilots! ... to work on flight sims ... better than shooting on people.
  10. I have thought that it can not go out of the Beta without slingload. All right. My mistake.
  11. What does this mean? Are all of the features implemented? Should we celebrate? :pilotfly:
  12. I wouldn't be surprised that CCIP mode is disabled for CBU. Cluster bombs are not precise weapons and it is totally not good practice to risk with CCIP mode. Moreover, similarly as the low-drag ammunition, they require very high dive angle. Very very risky to use CCIP mode as it brings you closer to the ground and the enemy. Using CCRP is recommended.
  13. Very nice! Thank you for sharing.
  14. Maybe ED want to make dual control pilot project while not investing too much resources. At the same time they will have free aircraft for the WWII part of the market. If this attempt goes well, maybe we will see something like Phantom or MiG-31?
  15. Maybe you need to reset controller assignments. I saw some strange behavior caused with controller mappings from previous DCS version.
  16. Hi Yurgon! Thank you for your effort to make and share this mission. It seems very interesting to me. I will try it next time. I wish there is more community mission makers.

    F4 Phantom

Wow how protective community we are. Those complaint posts are just trolling or children do not know what they are talking about ... let's ignore them. Anyhow, two seat airplanes will probably be implemented similarly as Huey and Mi-8. In the same way overwhelming pilot issue could be compensated with autopilot. Maybe helpful feature would be to display both cockpits at the same time but on different monitors. So one is primary with head tracking and the other one static which just showing control panels and instruments.
  18. Totally agree! Quality of free module is equally or maybe even more important than quality of payware modules. So, I think this is very good move.
  19. Here are some facts from my history: I love flying from the day I have heard that it is possible. I didn't have enough money to became real pilot. According military aviation. To be honest, I don't have military type of personality but I'm technically oriented and enjoy to explore complex stuff. Also, I didn't found joy in killing people, although I must admit that flying is much more interesting when you have weapons to fire :music_whistling:. Even I wanted to become military pilot my country doesn't have decent squadron to fly in ... few old Migs-21 that are falling apart in the air and not so bad air show squadron. Instead of that, I have graduated in mathematics and computer science. Now I'm working as a software developer. Therefore DCS is perfect for me. EDIT: Recently I started similar thread where I asked people to describe their profile briefly. Outcome was interesting to me. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=120554
  20. Welcome to the TrackIR community! I had flew with FaceTrackNIR for a while but it is not even close to the TrackIR. This thing works out of the box. Maybe little curve adjustments according your own preferences and you are ready to take off. I have bought mine a few months ago along with TrackClip Pro and I'm very satisfied. I'm sure you will be too. Moreover TrackIR works great with other sims too.
  21. I have noticed those differences too. Maybe airplane itself doesn't have 100% symmetrical weight distribution. So, the reason for this small difference in fuel quantities could be to balance the airplane.
  22. Serial #: 19610 Location: Croatia
  23. I think that this behavior is normal due to engine turbine rotation. When you start to roll on runway you need to correct rudder in order to keep moving straight. Suppose that similar thing is happening in the air too. Especially when aircraft is accelerating. This behavior is more pronounced on single prop engines, but it obviously exists on turbine engines too, although less pronounced.
  24. Hi wingclip! Ronin said that he had tried with silicone grease and found that was too thin. Apparently, it lubricates ok but lasts too short because it slips away under pressure. Here is his popular video about greasing warthog: Please share your experience with MOLYKOTE 44 on this thread because it is available for ordering and price is ok. So, I'm rooting for you  Thanks!
  25. MacFevre, thank you for reply! I suppose that my current grease is lithium based. Please let me know your impressions with EWG. If that will work ok for you i would order it over Amazon too. Thanks.
