  1. Recently I spent 400$ just on graphics card. And it is low-medium class. I don't think it will last decade. Not even close. I won't write here how much I have spent on TM Warthog, Track IR and Crosswind pedals because my wife could read it..
  2. This is really interesTing thread. I'm in learning process too. Anyhow I think that DCS is all about learning anyway. I have found some popular readings that might be usefull IN PURSUIT A Pilot's Guide to Online Air Combat Fighter combat tactics and maneuvering, Shaw Sorry I'm unable to post links now, but Google will help :)
  3. Thank you for clarifying this for me. I haven't noticed it before.
  4. I was flying Ship attack mission few days ago. I made mistake on the first run. I have dropped bomb too late and get killed by myself. Anyway, on results screen I've got message that I have committed fratricide. I have checked track and it seems to me that I was killed by my own bomb or maybe AAA shot me down, not sure. Sorry flying is not nice, I didn't know that I will have to post it here. Please can somebody confirm if this is bug or regular behavior? ShipAttack.trk
  5. On the contrary, I've noticed little bit different reactions doing the same maneuver. Especially during the takeoff and landing. :) Please can you describe those hard maneuvers?
  6. Thanks for sharing. This looks interesting and useful.
  7. I agree. I have had few successful takeoffs, and after that... wow :pilotfly: beautiful plane indeed. Now dcs has two great planes for dog fight I think that it will attract great community around this. If all planes for DCS WWII will be modeled good like this, next year will be amazing  ED
  8. I'm sorry but I think that this is duplicate topic. Please see this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=128270
  9. Hi. I agree that taking off is really tricky. I didn't master it yet also, but i saw bunch of guys on multiplayer that doing it well. Tail wheel lock works well for me. It locks in the current position not always stright. The second thing is that you must pull joystick all the way back. Is it posible that you have calibrated joystick in the way that it can not go all the way back. So i recommend you to check calibration.
  10. Thanks! I'll try that.
  11. I've earned 22$ bonus. After that, I added F-86F in the cart but I didn't find the way to apply that bonus. I'm sorry if this is stupid question. Maybe bonuses on Sabre couldn't be applied? Thanks
  12. Speed brake in real a10 is not slider. It is two way switch. So maybe here is the problem. Check speed brake control on thrustmaster warthog. Try to assign keyboard commands to the buttons on joystick.
  13. Of course. Actually i thought that everybody noticed that. Whole picture is shifted down. So, you should get better forward visibility because all airplane parts are shifted down for some offset. It is similar like periscope. Moreover, top bar is not visible from the pilot view because of the angle of the glass, so you will see more of the sky. Of course the bar will have kind of progressive refraction but the furthest border should have the same refraction as the other things in front of glass so it shouldn't affect forward visibility at all, regardless that closer bar parts are less refracted.
  14. I'm not game developer but I can't believe that this light refraction problem is such a big deal these days. Refraction should be one of the simpler effects. Essentially it is just shifting pixels that depends of thickness and refractive coefficient of the materials. This should be piece of cake for today's graphics engines and hardware. But I have to admit this DCS solution is actually the better one. 1C totally ignored thickness of the armored glass so armored window of the Fw 190 in BOS looks like dormer window. Hope that they will fix it before final release. At least like ED does.
  15. I agree. With this new DCS WWII project we will have enough WWII airplanes. Also we have three helicopters and two(three) detailed CAS airplanes but only one jet fighter. As Leatherneck is small company with limited resources it will be the best to stick to jet fighters. It would be logical. At least for next few projects.
  16. I know. I was impatient so I ordered it from USA. In the end, I paid too much for him. Does somebody bought something from http://www.simw.com/ ?
  17. Hi, You can try here: http://www.simw.com/hardware/hotas-warthog.html Also, new x-55 Rhino is much cheaper than Warthog there http://www.simw.com/hardware/pro-flight-x-55-rhino-h-o-t-a-s-system.html Please share experience if you successfully buy something via this online store. I'm preparing to try it also, for some time. Thanks
  18. Hi, I'm using some grease that does not have clear specification what is inside. So, learning about greases, I started to realize that it will be very good if I change that grease asap. I'll try with M-kote grease too. According the greasing video from Ronin ( ), grease should have at least grade #2 consistency (NLGI number). I think that EM-30L is only #1. So it is too thin. I will try with M-kote 44M which is also silicone based, good for plastic and has NLGI #2 consistency. If somebody have experience with M-kote 44M, please share with us. Thanks.
  19. Email sent. Btw, what is dead line? Hope I'm not too late. Thanks!
  20. Whew... We almost lost one of our MiG-21 Use google translate. http://www.index.hr/vijesti/clanak/opasnost-na-hrvatskom-nebu-mig-koji-se-vratio-s-remonta-zamalo-se-srusio-jer-mu-se-ugasio-motor/759022.aspx
  21. Hi Eno, I'm using allan key that has one side little bit longer than distance between pin and opposite wall. Using opposite side as lever support just push the pin out. First time it goes little bit harder, next time will be easier. Just take care not to damage wire. Good luck

    Release??

I think the best MiG-21 release day is 22. June because it is Anti-Fascist Struggle Day. Smrt fašizmu sloboda narodu!
  23. Now is the time! Buy them all! :music_whistling:
  24. Whatever you choose, you should stick with that one for some time if you want to master it. I've bought all modules, and now I'm rambling between them, I didn't master anything. Although I'm not so bad with A-10C :smilewink:
