Hello, I attached the logfile from yesterdays flight. Callsign is empty. debrief - Kopie.log

I still have problems with uploading the debrief files. My Callsign in the file always shows as empty. I have to manually add it, then the upload works. From which file does the logbook gets the callsign? Maybe there is something wrong there...

Du kannst das getrennt voneinander einstellen: Beide Häkchen setzen bei Enforce External Views, dann Enforce F10 View Options und dort "Map Only" wählen. Dann sind die externen Ansichten für Spieler aktiviert, auf der F10 Map sind aber keine Icons sichtbar.

For me, the spotting dots look ok on my 4k montitor, but in VR with the G2, the dots are way too big. Spotting in VR now feels like cheating.

WW2 Server auf der Kaukasus oder Marianenkarte sind sehr selten. Da bastelst du dir am besten eine Mission im Editor mit Schlechtwetter. Der 4YA Project Overlord Server hat realistisches Wetter, gem. echten Wetterberichten von 1944. Der Server setzt aber das Asset Pack + Normandy Map voraus.

The WW2 damage model is tuned for WW2 weapons. Shooting at them with modern weapons will get you strange results.

You need the open beta, Normandy map and the asset pack to join.

Kann auch sein dass etwas die Sicht verdeckt. Steht die Flak auf einem offenen Feld, oder nahe an Bäumen/Gebäuden? Eigentlich müsste die Flak schon feuern, auch ohne Asset pack. Halt einfach mit niedriger Kadenz/Genauigkeit.

Hast du in der Gruppe neben der Flak auch noch andere Einheiten? Ich würde mal versuchen in der Gruppe nur die Flak zu haben, und keine anderen Einheiten. Und was für Gegner hast du? Wenn sie zu schnell sind wird die Flak auch nicht angreifen.

Besides a better map, an option to restrict the use of "mark my exact location" would be great for historical servers.

2.8.4.39313? Ist im Hauptmenü unten rechts zu sehen. Wird bei dir die Version 2.8.1.34667.2 angezeigt (was ich vermute), verwendest du die Stable-Version statt Open Beta. Dort ist Normandy 2 noch nicht verfügbar.

If you haven't bought the upgrade to 2.0, you have "Normandy 1.5" Means you get all the new airfields and better details to the part of the old normandy map. But London and Paris will be low detail only.

Did you bought the upgrade to Normandy 2? If London and Paris has very low quality textures, but Bayeux looks good, it sounds like you didn't bought the upgrade

This is the old normandy map. Make sure you are on the open beta branch, Normandy2 is only available there at the moment.

Stable release is bound to progress on multithreading, so IMHO months is more realistic than weeks.

Tested the mod, and it's great to be able to spot units easier, completely changes the way to fight. But also, it gives the mod user a massive advantage over everyone not using it, so it should be integrated to the base game for everyone, or moved to the IC. I also feel with the mod it's too easy to spot other planes, especially in VR. Doesn't feel realistic.

I think I found the solution: The empty Callsign is due to restricted data export settings from the multiplayer server. Do you still have plans to add bailout/ejections to the logbook?

When flying singleplayer, the callsign works. But multiplayer, it stays empty. It's really strange.

Thanks for the answer. That's strange, any idea where I can change this? All the logfiles are from multiplayer sessions, and I always had the callsign [ugly] Nirvi. Maybe I shouldn't use things like [ or | in the callsign?

Wenn du eine Nvidia Grafikkarte hast würde ich Shadowplay für Aufnahmen empfehlen. Ebenfalls sehr empfehlenswert und auch super konfigurierbar ist das Freeware-Tool OBS.
