Because every discord needs its own poorly put together server as everyone tries to invent their own using the same mods and scripts as everyone else. Get used to "Stale" things. thats all DCS is while a F2Pgame litterally takes all of its players.

No problem I am just curious as if you ever upgrade this issue will come again and if anyone else has this issue. However seeing as how you're the only one with windows 11, and an outdated version at that. I'm betting something broke with windows and or your copy of DCS. Since those were the 2 things that you never touched that is where my money is at. Windows 11 is notoriously buggy and problematic so thats where my money lies.
-
Huh, that sounds alot like a Nvidia issue...as if you're not removing all of the data from the previous card causing issues, I know someone mentioned that your windows 11 was outofdate, is your Sons PC out of date aswell? Windows 11 is definitly something that NEEDS to be up-to-date as its full of bugs...
-
Wait so it works if you swap the GPU out?
-
As much as it sucks, doing a clean install (removing all files, Restarting your pc, then installing) is all there really is,Its def not hardware as you pointed out.

Noticed these, not sure if you saw them but you've done articles about this before. 2022-12-13 16:28:25.777 ERROR DX11BACKEND (Main): DX device removed. Reason: 0x887A0006 Also saw these issues. Is that old DirectX issue making a return? 2022-12-13 15:59:51.910 ERROR APP (Main): Error: Unit [S-3B Tanker]: Corrupt damage model. 2022-12-13 15:59:51.915 ERROR APP (Main): Error: Unit [SH-60B]: Corrupt damage model. 2022-12-13 16:28:25.782 ERROR DX11BACKEND (Main): Failed assert `0` at Projects\render\dx11backend_win8\Source\DX11StructuredBuffer.cpp:100 Is this relatable? Link to issue from 1 year ago I think the only option is to run a repair (which I think you did) and do a complete,CLEAN, reinstall (Don't forget to save your Binds!) I'm finding errors reguarding Ground units and others.. Have you tried updating direct X and making sure all your C++ runtimes uptodate? Give this a try, see what happens.

I read that and instantly a CPU at 90'c thermal throttling will crash the game everytime. Try this, See about doing a free flight mission, or hop into a FYA or (Through the Inferno) multiplayer servers to fly around in and see if it crashes. The Missions can be funky(meaning they crash) and I just wanna make sure which it is, Also you can try Deleting the software from ASUS and then uninstalling the driver, let windows re-install it, then give the game a shot. ,Something not mentioned yet, what are your GPU,CPU,Harddrive/SSD Temps peaking at? Nothing over 85'c is there? Unless your CPU is at a constant 90'c causing it to thermal throttle, which always causes DCS to crash, Im certain this doesn't apply to you.
-
No problem, DCS is very quirky like oldschool Bethseda games.
-
This is gonna suck believe me, Try running the DCS repair, If that doesn't work a clean install might. (uninstall, restart pc then install). Do this if you are out of options as its a big install. You also have any mods or after effects running aswell? like ReShade?Cockpit skins? Have you tried in different planes? like the SU25t? Another thing, Take a screen shot of your settings (for your memory) and click the preset (LOWEST) and save your graphic settings as that, and try to see if you can get it to crash. If it doesn't crash, put your settings back as they were, see if it crashes again.
-
Check the bottom Check the bottom All 3 of you guys, post your DXDIAGs as a text file of sorts(not a wall of text) lets take a gander. A quick try if you guys dont mind, Make a mission with just yourself no units Just what ever plane and fly for however long it usually takes for you to crash(in the situation where you crash currently) To see if its an issue with that specific mission OR your game. If it crashes, we can start looking at your side of the field, If it doesn't we'll look closer at that mission(s) thats causing this issue.

Its cause you get used to it while flying. Kinda like the huey, where if you havent flown it in awhile you get a little wobbly. Most peeps I heard dont even use the AP, but they're there if ya need them I find them handy for High Wind servers or if im flying for a long time in straight line I can flip the AP on and tick away at my phone.

(I bullet pointed everything so its easier to read in relation to what you said) -Considering this is your first point, Pretty sure whats going on here, Like I said "While I(aka me) understand re-explaining how to launch a phoenix might seem like you're proving a point or trying to help" "it comes across as you're trying to discredit people(the community)". Everyone here is Also very interested in getting these issues fixed As the F14 Isn't free. -The inconsistency is almost every patch, You guys even word things vaguely like "this should" even though the 'testers' should be making that a big "It does" because they're getting it before us (or atleast should) -Regarding the Phoenix, I'm not talking '90 from pilot POV. Im talking Tac-View, Straight up, pull a protractor '90 Degrees relative to the f14 on 10-15 mile shots and you can watch (via Tac-View) its speed TANK (meaning drop) for shot for target 1,000 feet on the deck, I think most of the community understands lofting to an extent but even watching videos where people (in the f14) launch and go "Annnnd wheres my missile going?.." Ive even someone rapid all 4 missiles, they pitch up '90 and go to space and fall down at 300kt and yo ucan see them tracking targets on their own that are 50nm+ away but can never get there. -Everyone understands the problems that ED has, Theirs meme's everywhere of it for the past 11 years and beyond if you dig hardenough. And as much as I agree that ED has problems, The F14 is your module, everyone (myself included) credits you not them with it, so saying "We're working with ED" litterally means, "Its broken for a long time until Randomly ED will fix it while also breaking other things in the process" because that is Their track record. -While im sure situationally it doesn't come across as that, (and it isn't just you) Its that anytime anyone complains, you'll see a firestorm of people telling that person that they are Wrong,Dont Know what they are doing,And that However is telling them this, Knows more than them there for They are automatically right. Example being the "Tester" that replied to my post replying to you, THAT is how the community is talked to by non-players. (meaning Not a Dev,Not a "Tester") While you personally might not mean it, It comes across as that and makes Reporting Problems,Bugs wierd situations or glitches...Similar to doing so on Roblox,Fortnite,CoD,Apex,Battlefield and other forums where its Toxic and no one talks about it, instead you'll see Separate communities turning those into memes and giggles, instead of sharing them with people who can fix it. -The missile is broke(because you dont have all the information and thats ok), Its incomplete and is put together with Facts but the holes are filled with Opinions and Feelings Cause you guys dont have that information yet, But anytime that would get called out, The entire thing is Considered as "Fact" and "Realistic" Leading Testers and Others to adamantly deny people to what they are seeing/experincing (Are you seeing the Trend yet?) Until either A, A big name gets dropped or B, A FLOOD of complaints come in. And then things are looked at/taken seriously. My Suggestion, Everything ive mentioned is public, you just have to look. Every other day me and afew friends watch some Tac-views and laugh at all the broken stuff going on that your Testers will fight tooth and nail over saying Doesn't exist. Is that why you edited your post after I bullet pointed what you said? Didn't look good did it?.

The thread was locked shortly after my post and routed others to a dead thread for "Discussion" which is why I assumed so, I guess its just been reopened. Its doing Loopty loops while tracking and while NOT tracking. See it every session on Tac-View. and while I agree its not exclusive, However it is MUCH more prevalent considering many more 120s(and others) are being shot compared to Phoenixes, Ide bet almost 15-120s for every Phoenix. "Should improve" but according to the patch notes it doesn't, (much like these updates) they're inconsistent with Whats being Said vs Whats Being Written VS Whats being Done and Whats Actually Happening. While I understand re-explaining how to launch a phoenix might seem like you're proving a point or trying to help, its doing more harm than good cause it comes across as you're trying to discredit people, something the "Testers" are notorious for. But every hour, phoenixes go to the moon, or Dump 50% of the energy going straight up, '90 for no reason but Some belive its like a rare golden egg when it isnt. and I included a video of a buddy who had a Phoenix track around a mountain since somehow you've never seen it. The guy was dead btw . https://clips.twitch.tv/FineLightAlpacaJonCarnage-KW7_BzY-Rv4Jp2e5 That all said the "remaining issues" (more like same issues) is after a Major overhaul..again... and while progress towards an actual constant representation is something we all enjoy, every time there is a Phoenix update it really seems like all thats happening is this, Everyone gets used to a sketchy Phoenix, Update breaks it, Testers Deny it(almost like fanboys) and and shoutdown anyone who says otherwise, Patch comes out admitting the problems the community complained about, Testers go quiet(cause they were wrong) wait 8 months and Repeat. I think ya'll need to start rotating "Testers" with actual members of the community with a sigh-up page for people to come test stuff cause its frustrating this happening yet again. "Regrettably, our journey with the Phoenix is somewhat long" For a single,Missile.

So...what about the Phoenixes doing loopy-loops while tracking targets,Loft completely vertical ('90) killing all of its speed and even Tracking targets through terrain even so much so as to curve around mountains? Its basically become a Meme at this point. and Most of these are even in the Discord 'gif' section. Watching them in Tac-view is even more depressing cause they're so inconsistent do wonky things Such as them going to the moon or watch them cycle targets that are over 80km away as they are floating in the air "Dead" So thats a big ol' "Dont Care" lol

DCS takes the simulations too literally to be fun or practical.
Soulres replied to gotit's topic in New User Briefing Room
Haptics and Force Feedback along with VR all function.even together. Yes Ww2 warbirds are a Handful and very difficult to fly. The bf109 had the reputation of killing its own new pilots bacuse of the torque and poor landing gear.movies and games make them look easy. DCS is the top of the tree when it comes to sims. IL2 is below that in the middle and War Thunder below that near the bottom with arcade phisics made to act real. Point is dcs is the place you want the real deal. And thats why Dcs despite the learning curvs and costs is one of the last surviving simulators. -
One thing Ive learned from the F14,Hind and Gazelle, is that(Co-pilots) the screens and equipment are all reacting and moving as if I were doing it myself. This is wasted resources that could otherwise be used elsewhere.Things NOT needed are Sync'd - Co-pilot head tracking MFDs,Stick and other 'active' objects inside the co-pilots seat that otherwise cannot be seen. For those who want to see the co-pilots screens and equipment, add a checkbox option to enable/disable it.

Soulres replied to DSplayer's topic in Weapon Bugs
120s seemed to find each other, fuel tanks and friendlies and kill them just fine. and 120s that seem to shoot you down every night seem to hit you just fine when they are shot by someone who knows how to shoot them. Think all this shows is a big chunk of 120 spammers have the flight IQ of DCS Ai from 2005. *edit* the lazy route of adding in 50 ai spamming amramms so you dont have to do 50 seperate tests kinda didnt help ya here. just sayin' -
I honestly love the idea of references to help figure out speeds, alts and radar sightlines. However infront of the aircraft is too cluttered. I would do away with the 1-2-3-4-5-6 infront of the aircraft, You already have two on either side of the aircraft (I think you only need one but, its out of the way so not a big deal) (And personally the sides as the rings serves no numerical purposes that I can find) Also the references on the top should be more streamlined with ALT on the top and Speed appearing on the bottom(Of the Line) going Left to right from Low to High (in value) And I personally think that you only need 1 Legend and not 7. I would put one on the bottom out of the way infront of the aircraft to declutter the screen.

Idea, Copy Petro targeting idea for GBUs and give them to Jester.
Soulres replied to Soulres's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Next time you have No idea what you're talking about, shouldn't talk about it like ya do chap. And since you didnt get the first analogy I'll explain it like you're 12. ED owns DCS. 'DCS F-14B'. NOT 'Heatblur F-14B' So when you Buy the F-14B who gets money?(ill answer for you since you're inept) ED Then HeatBlur gets a % from ED. Which means ED profits from F-14B sales, that you seem to think they are against. Take your 'Playstation vs Xbox' argument elsewhere kid, dont make me say it athird time. -

Never will know unless you actually look at it. People doubted we wern't the center of the universe and all they had to do was look up at night. Considering how Basic and simple Petro is vs Making an Ai "As realistic as possible" ALREADY Considering everyone really hates Jester Ejecting randomly, Losing Lock on non-maneuvering targets on a sunny calm day, and random call outs that make no sense. Sounds alot like something a marketing team would say and not a programing team with a deadline. (Probably why hide nor hair is around) Petro is their "Greatest Edge" according to you? Boi... And Ed has helped other Third parties in the past so why would it be a problem now? (besides it triggering you) Its not like Third Parties make 100% and give ED 0% Its not like Petrovich is going to be flying the Apache Its not like anyone bought the Mi24P JUST BECAUSE of Petrovich Its not like anyone bought the F-14 JUST BECASUE of Jester So why is it a problem? Why is it so outrageous? Besides the idea triggering you of course. -
Wanna throw my ten cents in. The "CCIP" sight, is calculated using Gyros, So its abit SLOWER to respond. So what you need to do, is line your shots up well in advance (using the CCIP pipper) and hold that until you get within max range. Be gentle, and she'll land hits. Another bit, if you get "Too close" things will be movind fast, and it'll miscaculate. so keep practicing and you'll get a feel for when the sight gets on point, and when it gets off. So you can switch to the StaticSight.

Would actually be like Crysler giving FIATS the same Traction control programming. Competitors until you realize both are owned by the same Parent company. Why should you do it? Cause it would make one of your products sell better than it would without it as people who want Crysler pickup trucks (F-14B) are looking at Crysler pickup trucks (F-14B) and not FIAT tiny cars (Mi-24P). And people who want Fiat Tiny cars(Mi-24P) are looking at Fiat Tiny cars(Mi-24P) and not Crysler Pickup Trucks.(F-14B) I understand the "Xbox vs Playstation" mentality but it holds no power here. *edit* and to answer your question with another question, Why wouldn't you want one of your products to sell better?
