Get the Dora and get into multiplayer. -
Since World is Free, is multiplayer free?
Soulres replied to Soulres's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Yes,just make sure you have DCS World installed DCS:WORLD is the main game. the Modules (DLC) are mainly 200mb so you only have 1 game. the F15c is a great starting aircraft and there are plenty of servers with it enabled. Btw this thread is oLd! -
I think the issue is the actual Sound Effect for the brakes locking up,I belive the scripting on them is bleak, cause you can get the sound but not the smoke or skidding.
-
think the Size of the lockon area has been reduced dramaticly. i was kicking the rudder trying to find the sweetspot,
-
think the Resolution-Per-Frame etting in the options has something to do with it. the A10c really would kill my FPS when i had the Mav and Targeting-Pod on.(both pointing at the sky of course) think if you take the settings (i keep it at 512) but try and drop it to 256. see if that changes anything. The issue(not really a issue) is that these are more complicated and have more going on. their just needs to be a Minimum Requirements for each Module. As the amount of Detail and effort Varies.

Think the Gyros need to slowdown, i can get it to bounce just using the trim.

Use headphones and a subwoofer
Soulres replied to Nascar's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Okay,i think you have it setup right HeaderWise,Ive never known a audio card to not have it, Right click the little volume speaker in the bottom right, and click PlayBackDevices, in that click whatever speakers you are using *it should say something like Realtek Digital Output (RCA) " that is what mine says, What does yours say? The window your looking at should look something this http://cdn.ghacks.net/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/sound_windows7.jpg if we can figure out what brand of soundcard you have we can figure this out easilly, cause most already of software installed to setup any speaker config. -
Use headphones and a subwoofer
Soulres replied to Nascar's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Okay,so dumb question, but how are you hooking it up? are you running the SPIDF to a White/Red or running it from SPIDF to SPIDF? Also! what kind of Subwoofer do you have? did you hook it directly to the pc? (dont do that) Try to see... Press the Windows Key and TYPE RealTek in the little search bar in there. Something like RealTek HD Audio Manager should come up,(if you have that kind of sound card) If you have that, you should click it and itll give ya a easy setup. Does the subwoofer work with the Header? have you used it with other things? (just double checking) Option B You get a HeadPhoneJack Splitter (To white/red) then hook it up like that. http://budgetgamer.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/audio1-rca-to-headphone.jpg ~NOTE~IM currently running with right now, A header wtih two 6inch speakers with a 24inch subwoofer, For me i had the subwoofer connected to the header, and the speakers connected to the subwoofer, and the SPDIF didnt reconise that for me,SO the headphonejack to W/R helped and the quality is great. So you always have that to fallback on if this gets too complicated. -

Is this a Problem with the game or Problem with the Subwoofer? -
And their isnt alot of high quality WW2 Aviation sims out there Featureing American Aircraft.and the 109's get more attention because most Sims are European. While the P38 was diffrent, it really wasnt that great.only thing notiable is that is the plane that Americans learned what 'Compression' Was when youd dive too fast.(rip those pilots who died in testing phases) Now if you put in say,Douglas A-1 Skyraider, which was the last of an Era for CAS roles. thats more Significant, the P38 to me just doesnt have enough to it awe inspiring as a Simulation, kinda like the F86f, Its simple to learn, Simple to fly. has little quirks but takes afew hours to master, Compared to the P51D or FW109 which take days to get how the plane handles in turns, speeds, landing take off going from minimum weight to maximum. but if you want a twin engine that badly(I want a 4 engine plane/jet) why not the A-26 invader?

You would think that in this case,But sadly the "Stuttering" Doesnt even happen when Running DeadRising3 at Ultra settings (SUperlaggy) but that doesnt even have Micro stutters that act in the same way as the ones that I get playing WarThunder. Since that is a game Issue,Im wondering if DCS could have it as well for a small %of people. if you take a HDD and SSD that are of the same speed and size. The SSD would open files and startup slightly faster(second or two) as for games, The FPS had little (not even a whole frame diffrence) to None frame diffrence when me and my friends compared them using Bf3. In the current state, they are like CD's back in the '90s. They are the way of the future, but not just yet,Afew more years and then the Debat will be over. If someone drops 300$ on a SSD they belive is better(to replace their older one HDD) of course its going to be better at gamming than the older drive.

Quick question no one asked. Is it only with DCS? does it do this with other games that require power to run? Ive had this problem with WarThunder, where you get these like Stutters(ill leave a youtube link at the bottom,and you tell me if its the same kinda thing. and if it is the same issue,there is a slight problem as no one knows what exactly is the cause,In Warthunder, where im running High Settings at 70+fps Ill get 3 "Stutters"lasting 1 second each every 70 or so seconds.And still occurs even if I run the game at Lowest Resolutions,Graphics,Old Graphics Support cranking out 205FPS still happens,no diffrence,and if it is only with DCS (as mine is only with WarThunder) it is a major problem. One Fix that some noticed, which you should try, before you start DCS Unplug EVERYTHING but your mouse, then go in a game to see if the stuttering is still there(odd yes but some people found usb drivers un/re-plugging repeatedly during game Cause it.Some. ${1}

How do you mount it to your desk/chair?
-
I found that While for me *mapped to joystick buttons* the Airbrakes were Toggleable, BUT i had to hold the button for afew seconds for them to start opening as if they were charging. idk if that has to do with hydraulics or what
-
Take a ride in a Cessna in winter when its 20' outside,Theirs little to no fogging, while youd think aircraft would fly thru difficult weather, but they didnt.Aircore wouldnt be flying on a rainy/snowy day. Really is no need for it
-
the P-39 was actually used, but it was meant for Anti-Vehical Purposes and the Unted States didnt really use it as multi-Roled Aircraft was PRiority. While the P38 does get alot of attention(theirs one in every aviation sim out there) theirs nothing really Special about it.

P-51..... Pitch an roll configuring problems???
Soulres replied to PAX19811031's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
you have to be pretty careful with pulling back/Pushing Forwords on the P51D cause it can make the plane very unstable and itll stall(quickly) and thats what cuases the rolls.Try runing with flaps down 1 notch, and if you look at the flap Handle, there is a Sign that tells you what flap settings to have at certain speeds to maximize turning. On another note, it is all very good tactic of getting someone off ur tail, Pull back and kick the rudder in which way you want to roll happens very quick. -
Ide just crab it all the way down to the end of the runway, takes practice but works on everything.

Stupid-Silly-Drives will break or have issues,Save your moeny and stick with a HDD drive. The diffrence some "Claim" is Silly, when there actually IS A diffrence (which is rare) its only 1-3frames tops. Cause most comparisons done by "Experts"(aka bloggers) they compare drives from 5 years ago. Actual advice other than what youll see from people who spend 2000$ or more on "Gaming" Pcs -Use the Defrag Tool to see if your computer needs to be Defragged -Use Disk Cleanup to Remove unwanted Temp Files ECT -Make sure your startup is Clear of unwanted programs (WindowsKey+R) (Type msconfig)(then click STARTUP and uncheck anything you dont want starting when you turn on your PC) -Make sure Nothing is Running while you are playing(something might try downloading while your playing for example) -Depending on your RAM (I didnt have the Stuttering when I had 2 GB of RAM) might want to grab a Stick -Tinker with the Graphic Settings inGAME, Drop them all to LOWEST (TEMP) to see if the Stuttering is still there even at lowest settings, To Determan if its the GAME or your PC stuttering(Games can sometimes do that) -Clean out your PC of DUST,And I mean,Take the Case off, Take the Graphic's Card Out (Asuming it isnt built-in) Blow Fans out, Blow everything out. -Make sure your computer isnt overheating.(Fans dont have to be screaming for it to be over heating) If you posted a quick spec of your computer for example like tis Windows 7 4GB RAM Nvidia Geforce GTS 240 Intel Core 2 Duo 2.99ghz Might be able to help ya out a tad more after you tried everything above. Also dont listen to people who say " your computer sucks you need to get a new one" most of them take their computers to geek squad when firefox stops working  Happy Flying, and Get back to us on whats goin on.

Well there is the problem right there.you got one of de'm newer models, yeah they tend not to be as,how you say "Reliable" if ya happen to find urself a older Model be sure to stick to it chap :megalol:

what aircraft should I purchase?
Soulres replied to canadabear07's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
DCS World Includes 2 FREE PLANES. TF-51D (P-51D Trainer no weapons) And the SU25T Russian Version of the A10C (but not nearly as complicated) If you like WW2 planes, P51D or the FW190D. B109K4 comes out this fall. If you like Jets that arenot too complicated (a10c is mostly computers) Buying the A10A (its like the Su25T) Or FC3(which comes with 6+ aircraft have the same detail as the SU25T) The F86f is VERY Simple, and its got the Full Cockpit (like the A10C) takes about 1 minute to start. Very simple but again, not much too it, Guns,Rockets Bombs. is all it has. If you dont know what your into,Try DCS World for awhile using the Trainer P51D and messing around in the Su25T. The A10C is probably the most Complicated DLC ED has put out so far.If you like the warthog Get the A10A (which is alot easier to fly and learn)
