No you have me wrong, These cones used to be upright before, now they are not. I'm not asking for wind affected cones.

Military helo pilots are trained to use any means necessary to detect wind direction for landing in remote areas, and the smoke from houses are actually used, as are trees But I agree it would be a very nice feature.

Can anyone tell me what has happened to my pylons? There is zero wind. And keep the crude jokes to yourselves! :lol:

Amazing product! I can't get enought of it...... I won't hesitate in getting another Belsimtek product! I'd also like to praise them for the courage to make an aircraft that's sole purpose isn't entirely combat focused. Starting to get the hang of it after 2 hours practice so far! Loving every minute of it! Such an amazing aircraft. A small gripe though, in all DCS aircraft I have the left mouse button moves a 3 position switch up and the right moves in down, this is not the case in some of the switches and is causing me to select the wrong setting, Just a little issue

Hi, When I use the trim only the cyclic stays in the trimmed position, the pedals return to centre. How can I make the pedals stay in a trimmed position? I am using a twist stick. Thanks

I opened up a mission from a while back to do some work on it. I have f-18's escorting an AWACS and now I see than the engage distance is set to 0. This was set to 30 miles in 1.2.2, When I try to input a distance now it returns to zero again. Is this a bug?

Hi, I have made a mission which adds a radio message to the other section in the radio menu when an aircraft enters a specific zone. The player then enables the aircraft to attack by using the radio menu. This works perfectly in single player but doesn't work at all in multiplayer. The other option never appears in the radio menu. How can I fix it please?

Go into the P-51 sim in options controls and it is the weapon release, which is RAlt+space by default. Press RAlt+space in the controls and it will jump there with out needing to find it in the list. You will need to set another key to switch between bomb and rocket selection., or switch with the mouse in the virtual cockpit.

Me and cobracmdr do just this, we make our own missions and take things seriously and casually in equal amounts. We hang out on Teamspeak at the DCS pilots lounge Unit 555 sub-channel, ch.teamspeak.cc:9083, generously, provided by Kerbs20, AKA Krazy. Anybody is welcome to join us, we are on most weekends and some weekdays. We fly P-51 to Ka-50 and everything in between. We are more than happy to teach others, if your a total beginner to a pro we don't mind.

Keep in mind your windows version is linked to the motherboard. New motherboard means new windows operating system.

Yes for simulation games the CPU is more important than GPU, it must make all the physics, ballistics calculations. I would definitely upgrade to the i7. I can't say for sure. You may not get more FPS but i'm sure it will stop the fps dropping

A 1 screen option? I assume this wont work by alt tabbing and checking *EDIT* I just ran DCS, then alt tabbed while still running the game. I have 27% CPU usage and 99% GPU. Guess that solves where my bottleneck is!

How can you tell if you have a CPU bottleneck or a GPU bottleneck? I'm very near to upgrading and wonder will a new card alone give me more fps?

O so many! First Blackhawk (Jayhawk, Seahawk,Pavehawk) then Chinook, AH-1F, AH-64A. I can dream can't I? :)

I'm not sure if this is a bug, but no matter where I get hit or how badly I instantly loose the gun sight first thing. I could get hit in the tail, the wing, fuselage or nose. Straight away after any round hits I loose gun sight. Not sure about others experiencing this?

O wouldn't that just be the be all and end all!! :thumbup: From what i'v read this can be very subjective, the Eagle drivers are dedicated air superiority. So they will always be looking to come out on top. In BVR the F-15 mops up. But dissimilar BFM the little viper is hard to see and fight against in a big fighter. The navy shouldn't feel too disheartened, It is F/A after all. The F-14 and F-15 were very closely matched and both groups had great respect for the other. I'm not sure the F-15C wins too many mud moving competitions!
