Hello guys. I am in the market for a new set of pedals and after some extensive research (and saving :P) I have decided that the Baur BRD-MS3 pedalsare the most appealing for me. I love the Su-35 pedals as I can leave my heel on the floor. I have a question however, do the BRD-MS3 pedals also come with the cams for Free, Soft and Clear center position? I fly alot of helicopters and I believe the free centre has no detent and this I would love for a helicopter.

No individual cannon and mg control then?
Razor5-1 replied to Razor5-1's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
No, they are all the same caliber, there would be no reason to. -
I believe it is only locked when the stick is held back, returning to neutral then unlocks it. Although it is mentioned to push forward to unlock.
-
Well you learn something new every day then , that just leaves the dorsal fin so.

No individual cannon and mg control then?
Razor5-1 replied to Razor5-1's topic in DCS: Fw 190 D-9 Dora
Ah great thanks, I was convinced the real aircraft could do this, prefect. -
Did the D9 really have only one fire button for both cannon and mg? I would have though you would want to keep them separate as the cannon ammo is alot less and give the pilot individual control over which he used.

I can't find anything in searching the forums. Has it been confirmed yet as to which is being modeled, whether it is the D-30-RE (800 built) or D-30-RA (1800 built). The dorsal fin was retrofitted to many examples later to improve the directional stability, is this being chosen? The D-40 was the first factory fitted fin model.

I love the P-47, the razorback being my favourite version, can't say I love the later bubble canopy models and definitely not the dorsal fin D-30 that will be done for DCS. (i'm odd like that) I feel for most ww2 fighters there were the most beautiful versions and then the mutilated versions later in the war to eek every last drop of performance and sometimes resulting in design issues that had to be "patched up". Would it stand toe to toe with the DCS P51 or Dora, or even say the Il-2 1946 flight model. I would get in on a whim for DCS but, I always struggle to put money down on FSX, since its dead in the water and a mess performance wise with a dodgy flight and ground model. I believe A2A use external models outside of FSX.

This is more noticeable when I wear my headset. If I look out to the left or right in the cockpit I can hear a very distinctive sound like that of somebody blowing air through a fan a home. Its hard to describe but even more annoying! Its almost like the sound of a helicopters rotors as they are stopping, like whoop whoop whoop really quickly. Has this been placed in by design or a possible bug? I am all for realism but this does get on my nerves and now that I know it exists, I cannot but notice it. What has been heard cannot be unheard  Also I noticed on a few occasions ,when shutting down, on the external view the prop slows down but then the animation skips and skips and then stops, there isn't a fluid animation of the prop slowing and stopping sometimes.

Other sims give the option to move up to the gunsight or be centred in the seat with a button press. An option like this solves the problem for people who dont have TrackIR and those that do and can lean. I never understand when things like this are done, you would think somebody on the development team would have said, oh wait maybe people don't want to be always on the right side of the cockpit. I really hope this is seen to.

Dont forget we'll get the Hellfire too! :gun_rifle:

 It has to be the Whiskey cobra then, with the older exhaust is prettier, not the ZULU exhaust mod. If they do change from the G model I think it's a great discission by Belsimtek. I can guarantee much more people would be interested (more sales) in a full combat effective model, ie TOW, than a Vietnam era guns and rockets model. I would argue almost everybody got into DCS for modern combat aircraft, I know all the rest about it being a platform for everything. But the modern aspect has been lost lately. Im all for getting back on track, bring on the WHISKEY and the F-18

The F model is my favourite. Notice it's been omitted from your little poll. The W is still in service. It would be a more in-depth and accurate model if it were the F.

I HATE it! it fishtales all over the place, it goes right, it goes left, right, the left wing dips.... I want to take off my TrackIR hat and jumper because im getting so damn annoyed and hot under the coller :joystick: ..... this is not enjoyable. I took off the Mustang after 5 or 6 goes when I was dying with a hangover... sober and no dice with this one. This is the result of my first attempts

Uh Nice! Wish I lived in America and could pick up this kind of kit! :joystick:

Hi there, I am in the process of looking up a new stick. I am into my helicopters alot and believe, from what Iv read, that the Microsoft forcefeedback 2 really makes it nice to fly the helicopters. But coming from a TM HOTAS Cougar, I dont want to loose all the buttons on my joystick, (especially for the Ka50) .The Cougar isn't great. That's why im looking at the the Warthog since its such a nice smooth stick. Is there anyone out there that can comment who has used both on which they prefer?

Is that the Thrustmaster TOPGUN Cyclic grip? I was thinking of getting a second hand one and sticking it to a MS FFB2

I recently watched a short video of a restored WW2 fighter bomber. I will leave it unnamed so it doesn't influence your opinions. When I turned it on, I was delighted to see that this aircraft had been restored to full flying condition. But then, while watching I found out that the engine was not original and it was taken from another WW2 fighter. Instantly I lost all interest in it. I was quite surprised afterwards thinking back. Since the engine was not original I felt that this was not a restored aircraft. It looked the part but lacked the beating heart of its origins. Also there is a company in New Zealand that builds WW1 planes from scratch including the engines, would you consider this or does it need to be the original that came of the production lines many years ago. So I ask you this, how important is the whole package to you in appreciating restored aircraft or cars.

Use TM Cougar Microstick to slew Shkval?
Razor5-1 replied to Razor5-1's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
The real switch moves entirely, but just the little bit -
Anyone using X-65F for helicopters?
Razor5-1 replied to Razor5-1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I must say I played with the idea of picking up the Sidewinder 2 and replacing the stick with a HOTAS frankenstein build lol -
[VV] [/VV] All of these aircraft are going to be represented in DCS at some stage right? Try this so:
