  1. Ah, thanks for the explanation.
  2. If the BLG 66 is supposed to deny the runway it doesn't. You can easily check by putting a client slot to start on the runway and then bomb it with an air start M2000-C with BLG-66's til blue in the face. The runway takeoff slot will always take off on the runway. Now repeat with an Su-25T with Beta 500 shp. Hop in your runway takeoff slot and he's bumped to parking and told the runway is closed. Of course you can just take off as long as you avoid the craters, but it would probably properly deny the AI.
  3. I've noticed about labels on off as well. I've tried alt ctrl and shift both left and right with f10 and none of those seem to work.
  4. Helos require a very gentle hand. If you don't have experience with the other two traditional helos expect it to be a challenge. Mi-8 would be the easiest after the Ka-50 because it's a little more stable and then probably the Huey and this guy. Even after all the others I find this thing a handful at times, but it is very doable.
  5. With a little effort you could make something a lot like that out of warthog; and non-destructively at that. This was my take. You could angle something upward on the front just the same and attach with the screws on the front. 6 push buttons/encoders, a mode switch for them with 3 positions for a total of 18 buttons/encoder functions (AM/UHF/FM radios in A-10C...) 6 pots for WWII and such; great for range and elevation knobs on sights, flaps, rudder trim, etc.
  6. Just for the RAM, never mind the supposed insane performance.
  7. A web of legal BS. I'd've loved this case to go all the way: https://www.lexisnexis.com/legalnewsroom/intellectual-property/b/copyright-trademark-law-blog/archive/2012/01/25/ea-s-video-game-quot-battlefield-3-quot-turning-into-quot-battlefield-trademark-quot-as-video-game-manufacturer-sues-to-adjudicate-non-infringement-of-military-helicopters.aspx?Redirected=true I personally think it's nothing but corporate greed from the lot of them. They make literal trillion dollar contracts with government and they force developers of a niche game to pay what I can only imagine is less than peanuts to them, but exorbitant to the devs all in the name of "protecting their trademark". You can paint it however you want, but it still smells foul.
  8. I get the crazy camera jitters too. I just chalk it up to beta for now. I'm sure it will improve. I think it' happens when set to slave, but not sure.
  9. This demonstrates what I see. Notice how I'm hard right rudder at speed and there's little to no authority. Seems normal. What doesn't seem normal is it's like zero authority until it's 100% authority. As I slow it doesn't gradually pick up, just when I get close to 0 km/h it launches me into an insane spin... it's really the only thing I see that at least feels wrong that I'd complain about.
  10. I generally love it. The only thing I'm remotely suspect of is when slowing and giving hard rudder there's a point where it goes from unresponsive to full effect in a hrart beat. For all I know it's realistic, but it seems odd. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  11. If you zoom in a lot (using the zoom axis) in the commanders seat you can push your view through the display by leaning forward while using Track IR.
  12. Thanks! It's a fun chopper! Really going to enjoy it. :) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  13. deleted the group and recreated it and now it's working...
  14. I can't join a Gazelle slot in MP. Anyone else or just me?
  15. I think it is the venue rather than the picture that made peoplr think F/A-18C. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  16. Does it to work with the Vihkr? Are you trying to get it to work with the Vihkr on the Ka-50? With either the Su-25T or Ka-50 buddy lasing the Vihkr would be a bug as it's beam riding and looks back at the launch platform rather than the target. I don't think all of the Kh-25ML's, Kh-29L's or S-25L's are beam riding as at least some look to have sensors so it seems at least conceivable that it would be possible. 17. FWIW I have a site and forums at http://78th-dcs.com along with 1.5/2.0 and TS servers geared towards free flight/learning/practice with user friendliness towards new players in mind. I really have no desire for a squadron with ranks and all that, but if you want to cooperate on something for a community I'd br interested... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  18. Vihkr's have their sensor in the back of the missile. They're beam riding and look back at the chopper/plane instead of forward at a reflection on the target. They're virtually impurvious to jamming for this reason. Lasers also don't have a problem operating at night. Other sensors like the Shkval may not be able to lock, but if you can make out the target and steady the laser on the target or use the LLTV they're fine. Besides which, I sincerely doubt any form of refraction is modeled in the game. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using Tapatalk
  19. Refueling First ever completely successful refuel. Took her from ~1,400 to a full tank. This one gets to be my wallpaper for awhile. Regret the chat window not being reduced, but my hands were full. Others showing how to do the same:
  20. That's because the P-51D has a ~5 position handle, Bf 109 has a wheel, and Fw has 3 buttons... The Bf 109 and P-51D advance in one direction or the other, whereas the Fw is pressing one of three buttons... Especially in the case of the 109 that'd be an interesting implementation....
  21. Fw 190 D-9 is not available to USAF Aggressors, SSIA. Posted under 2.0, but posting here as well, as it is a problem in 1.5 as well..
  22. Do any of the 6000 series come with a fan? My k's did not and I was under the impression none would.
  23. To you maybe. And anyway I didn't say lack of news. I said a languishing 2.0 release. I interpret it how I want. Feel free to do what you want.
  24. I'm sure it won't be long after 2.5. Given how long it's been since we had a 2.0 update I'd guess 2.5 is close-ish and then maybe SoH and (hopefully soon after that Normandy) will be in our hands. I wonder if 2.5 will have ground radar support out of the gate too for a certain related project. I also wonder if they will put out SoH (much) before the F/A-18C and I wouldn't guess that's ready. Of course, a map is a map and a plane is a plane and neither is dependent on the other for anything but artificial reasons.
  25. Like some said, it's a chance to glimpse something we'd never get to do. Given another life without bad eye sight and chronic illness I'd be all over it. As it was I have Crohn's and even after a very long remission barely managed to get in the military. I was threatened with being sent home 3 or 4 times by Navy docs at Parris Island. Every time they stared at my waiver with disbelief, made phone calls, and sent me back to my platoon. Coupled with my eye sight I'm lucky they even let me look at aircraft.
