I've done that. Multiple times. Still won't install. It makes perfect sense I want my money back. I can't use what I paid for because of an error that should have been caught in testing, and by all rights shouldn't even be an issue. It doesn't give me a lot of confidence in the actual product if they can't even get the installer correct. Then the forums disappear for almost two days. Edit - apparently they have found a solution. Time to try it.

Ah. Missed that then. In other news, I just reinstalled BS1.0, 2.0 installer still says it's not there. I've actually got 1.0 running well and everything. >:|

Well. Just installed BS1.0 and I still get the "Not installed" error from BS2.

So can I assume then that BS2 will not have reverse compatability with FC2 the way BS1 did?

Supposedly you can run them both, no problem. There is no conflict between them.

Can someone post a checklist or something? I would think something that requires extra steps on start up would get more of a treatment than a bullet point on a patch note. Even after aligning the INS on the ground, taxiing every which way and back again, then trying it in the air, it *never* works.

I've been messing with this now for a few hours and for the life of me I have no idea what's going on. I'm about ready to throw heavy objects. Played FC2 just dandy, no problems what so ever. Even got an A10 HOTAS from Thrustmaster. Just got a new 32" HDTV with PC input and running it. Every other game I have hasn't thrown a fit at all. FC2 refuses to load the engine. Neither does Black Shark or A10C. I can get into menus in SP, the minute I try and do a quick start or even view a track, crash. I can't even start MP because it loads the engine first I believe. Same result. My personal best was taking off and forgetting to turn off the anti-dust. Kept wondering why I couldn't get over those mountains without my engine starting to overheat. I pushed it to try and get over but never made it. My engines decided to go home without me.

VBS2 and Steel Beasts Pro (the full version, not PE) can communicate with one another and share data across the networks already, allowing for that type of interaction. Would be awesome to have but I don't think any one company is going to be able to fit it all into one game because of budget constraints even when times are good.

Running 1.12 on WinXP SP2 and when I close the canopy, I don't get ANY sound from anything outside. No engine noise, no wind, no weapons fire, nothing. Adjusting the in-game options has zero effect. Any ideas?

Oddly enough, I have this bug at distance (lower LOD) from planes. I have a 2 SLI 7600GTs...

Is that a training ramp for Aircraft carrier launches?
