  1. I'm starting to notice more and more that people are willing to give ED a free pass on certain transgressions since they're the only game in town when it comes to modern military flight sims. If other companies in other more crowded generes operated the same way, they couldn't get away with it.
  2. I was refering to which is going to be released first.
  3. TacPack or Nevada EDGE. Place your bets gentlemen.
  4. They most likely would drop them at the first sign of an in-flight emergency to lighten the plane. I think there's some confusion with "armed". Standard GP bombs are packed with HE. That's always 'ready' to go by it's very nature. What isn't is the initial device to set off that HE. Obviously the HE is pretty stable as you want it to survive delivery, whether on a plane, missile, or shell. So you have an initial small explosive to set the larger stuff off. Generally that's not armed until bomb actually drops. In most cases it was a little pinwheel that caught the air and rotated at high speed. Once detonation parameters were met, boom. There are a wide variety of warhead and bomb types and just as many types of fuses (i.e. devices that determine when and how exactly the explosives detonate).
  5. cmd ipconfig /all
  6. If that's too expensive, there's always these.
  7. Someone in another thread stated that Wags has already officially stated the new jet isn't F-15C. However I haven't actually seen that statement.
  8. There's a split screen comparison floating around the internet with the F-35 and the geometry is exactly the same on the front end. It's much more a twin engined F-35 than an F-22.
  9. I think, like me, he was hoping to have a mod that not only let us fly it, but also let us have a radar screen or something similar to an actual combat controller. Being able to actually fly it is still awesome though! Good work!
  10. I think XP had their last and final SP right before 7 hit if I'm not mistaken.
  11. Thanks for obnoxiously pointing out the reason I used that word in the first place.
  12. There are rumors that it was going to be released around the same time as FC3.
  13. Try saying anything critical of ED or any of the games.... >_>
  14. Hmmm... In FC2 I think I've seen the ELINT pod show a gun tracking radar from a ZSU as a diamond, but was unable to lock with a ARM. I think it did trigger the SPO-15 though. Not sure.
  15. Also, while most servers disable TacView from working, you can always replay the saved track later with TacView running and it will record the replay. Unfortunately if you have any hiccup in the track file, it might not work right. I don't know if DCS World fixed it, but it used to be unless you exited the server, you generated one looooooooooooooong track file with all your respawns in it, making playback a bit problematic unless you could just let the thing run for hours on end. >.<
  16. Oooo! And the F-16XL right next to it!
  17. As I posted a while back, there's the Mig-21s the USAF operated on the Nevada range as part of CONSTANT PEG. I really want to fly those on that map!
  18. *drums fingers*
  19. Don't know if this is the USA skin he's got already, but this would go great with the Nevada map.
  20. TS Server addresses are usually buried in the mission briefs or labled specifically as 'TS xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx' in the server name.
  21. I see no guitarist here.

    Warthog Covers

Mine came in the mail! Woot! Fantastic!
  23. They fix the MP problems yet?

    DCS World

Unless someone wants to fly ferry missions of 18+ hours, there's not much reason to simulate the entire world at once.
