1. You might check in here, Mobius and Strongwolf posted some fixes. Hope this helps. http://hyperfighter.sk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=1803 Cheers
2. Me misquided? maybe, ;)
3. An education isn't how much you have committed to memory, or even how much you know. It's being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. Anatole France (1844 - 1924) Heard any good ones?
4. GA to short.:) Looking forward for the next one...
5. Having fun ;)
6. Thanks I'm trying
7. All the above, but also, the annoying TrackIr bug.
8. I sure do hope ED includes speed tree with BS. After seeing the effects and how it would benefit the visuals of BS, then I don’t want to imagine BS without it. Keeping my fingers crossed.
9. Good to know Crusty, I was close :p I do have to click on option before changing graphic settings. Does anyone know, how come this is happening? Source?
10. Ok, the TrackIr not functioning Bug is still around with 1.12a, I have to delete both trackIr files that was initially reported with 1.12 Now here is an observation that I’ve noticed about the issue. Only happens when I play around with the graphics settings within lomac itself. If I don’t touch them after I delete the files, then seems I’m ok. But as soon as I change the settings again, exit & restart lomac, then its stops responding again. Reporting this out, just in case… Cheers
11. This codec is the best I've seen so far, Thanks a bunch. Now I have something to work with. Now I have compression, without loosing quality on my hud display. Alparysoft Lossless Video Codec Version: 2.0 alpha build 957.040607 Alparysoft Lossless Codec is freeware, but requires registration. Cool and cool :) Thanks again. Cheers
12. I know its a wishfull thinking list, so here are my wishes; Lockheed-Martin F-104 Starfighter Avro Arrow Leduc 022 (bares my family name, history in the making) Leduc 021 Man it’s an honor to bare his name when I read about his accomplishments. C’est un honneur et je suis fier de porter mon nom de famille quand je vois ses accomplissements. Leduc, Richard aka "Kindred" Cheers
13. The technology behind this hardware is very impressive. But I must admit, max res 800x600 is kind of downer for me. At least with its price tab, wished they could at least put min to 1024x768… If they did, I would re consider purchasing it. But this max res with this price tag, it’s a turn off. But I would like to try it that’s for sure.
14. Ok I've just tried with Divx 5.1.1 pro, my encoder set to max quality and inside lomac export setting quality export to 100%. I still have the fussy effect as an end results. Just looking at the hud with the results makes me sick. Man, is there a way around this? Please help. I'll try with 640x480 to see. Hope this helps... EDIT: 640x480 did not help with the "fuzz" on my hud. I reckon issue relies with the codec. Then again. I'm lost & discourage at this point. Your assistance would be appreciated. I wish to master this. I know it's "doable". I can fly/refuel/engaged bandits no prob there. But I have to admit I'm a noob in exporting and making videos. But I wish and want to learn this aspect better. Thanks in advance for your responses, Cheers
15. Ok, maybe I missed something. I’ve also been playing with exporting tracks, frustrating that’s for sure. Takes average, 6 hours to export. My first question is, what would be the best codec to use, and how to make sure that when exporting the results won’t be “fussy”? Would it be the quality settings or aspect ratio? By default quality it set at 25%, should I set it to 100% instead? I’m asking due that don’t want to re screw up my export again, mostly due to time it takes to do this. Doing it uncompressed, is not a likely a possibility, my first initial mpeg 4, was 220Meg. Uncompressed, no codec, I ended up with a 4Gig file lol. Also how can I put a camera view under a wing? I’m exporting with res: 720x480 Aspect 1.3333 (should I play with this?) XviD MPEG-4 compression (my first choice) Thanks in advance
16. Cool thanks for the heads up. I was using 83.90. But I will give them a try.:icon_supe
17. Cool just found a link with almost all of them :p http://www.tucows.com/Windows/IS-IT/OSManagement/MemoryBoosters/ Even has cow rattings, lol True I'm staying away of these so call optimiser software. But some do use them...
18. Humm, you might try this small utility to regain memory. http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/software/swr/spt_swr_list.php?kind=2 MSI GoodMem GoodMEM is a program which helps you increase your physical system memory size , and monitors your memory usage. Support OS Windows 98SE/ME/2000/XP File size 140KB Might help, I used to use this a long time ago on one my old putter of a pc. Thanks Kula66, I will look into the NTFSSTAT util. Cheers
19. Works for me. No large file server here, no 100 users on my pc. I see improvement on my rig? yep. :D It's just some stuff I've learned and tried. Again works for me. Maybe not for you. You decide. Just sharing ;) Other good tweaking site; http://www.tweakxp.com Cheers
20. heres a good site for good tweaks http://www.onecomputerguy.com/windowsxp_tips.htm :D
21. You might want to check these tweaks; Increase XP NTFS performance Last access time stamps XP automatically updates the date and time stamp with information about the last time you accessed a file. Not only does it mark the file, but it also updates the directory the file is located in as well as any directories above it. If you have a large hard drive with many subdirectories on it, this updating can slow down your system. To disable the updating, start the Registry Editor by selecting Run from the Start menu, typing regedit in the Open text box, and clicking OK. When the Registry Editor window opens, navigate through the left pane until you get to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Filesystem In the right pane, look for the value named NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate. If the value exists, it's probably set to 0. To change the value, double-click it. You'll then see the Edit DWORD Value screen. Enter 1 in the Value Data field and click OK. If the value doesn't exist, you'll need to add it. Select New | DWORD Value from the Edit menu. The new value will appear in the right pane, prompting you for a value name. Type NtfsDisableLastAccessUpdate and press [Enter]. Double-click the new value. You'll then see the Edit DWORD Value screen. Enter 1 in the Value Data field and click OK. When you're done, close Regedit. Your registry changes will be saved automatically. Reboot your workstation. The Master File Table The Master File Table (MFT) keeps track of files on disks. This file logs all the files that are stored on a given disk, including an entry for the MFT itself. It works like an index of everything on the hard disk in much the same way that a phone book stores phone numbers. NTFS keeps a section of each disk just for the MFT. This allows the MFT to grow as the contents of a disk change without becoming overly fragmented. This is because Windows NT didn't provide for the defragmentation of the MFT. Windows 2000 and Windows XP’s Disk Defragmenter will defragment the MFT only if there’s enough space on the hard drive to locate all of the MFT segments together in one location. As the MFT file grows, it can become fragmented. Fortunately, you can control the initial size of the MFT by making a change in the registry. Making the MFT file larger prevents it from fragmenting but does so at the cost of storage space. For every kilobyte that NTFS uses for MFT, the less it has for data storage. To limit the size of the MFT, start the Registry Editor by selecting Run from the Start menu, typing regedit in the Open text box, and clicking OK. When the Registry Editor window opens, navigate through the left pane until you get to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Filesystem In the right pane, look for the value named NtfsMftZoneReservation. If the value doesn't exist, you'll need to add it. Select New | DWORD Value from the Edit menu. The new value will appear in the right pane, prompting you for a value name. Type NtfsMftZoneReservation and press [Enter]. Double-click the new value. You'll then see the Edit DWORD Value screen. The default value for this key is 1. This is good for a drive that will contain relatively few large files. Other options include: 2—Medium file allocation 3—Larger file allocation (my setting) 4—Maximum file allocation To change the value, double-click it. When the Edit DWORD Value screen appears, enter the value you want and click OK. Unfortunately, Microsoft doesn't give any clear guidelines as to what distinguishes Medium from Larger and Maximum levels of files. Suffice it to say, if you plan to store lots of files on your workstation, you may want to consider a value of 3 or 4 instead of the default value of 1. When you're done, close Regedit. Your registry changes will be saved automatically. Reboot your workstation. Unlike other registry changes, which take place immediately for maximum benefit, NtfsMftZoneReservation works best on freshly formatted hard drives. This is because XP will then create the MFT in one contiguous space. Otherwise, it will just modify the current size of the MFT, instantly fragmenting it. Therefore, it's best to use this if you plan to have one drive for data and another for applications. Happy tweaking:cool:
22. Extreme situational awareness. Editing & music, sound effects. Very nice. It’s a keeper. Good job. Keep up the good work. Cheers S!
