I'm staying away from IE beta 7 or any version of IE for that matter. Firefox 1.5.01 served me well so far. I have service pack 2 also. Don’t have dll's issues with it with FC so far. Reckon you might have registry corruption or your dll's files are not associated correctly to its source applications. Troubleshooting this might require more time then re installing your windows IMHO. But to each is own. I always love a good challenge.

And old tweak, but I still use it. As usual do a backup before proceeding. Remove or rename ExplodeGround0.ogg & ExplodeWater0.ogg in your effects directory Remove both lines with ExplodeGround0 & ExplodeWater0 in the sound.cfg file. Bingo, now able to gun down without no fps loss. EDIT: oups Welcome aboard. Cheers

Kindred replied to Ironhand's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Good tutorial, thanks :D -
Main issue with UBI is chatt has been disable in all the rooms. Thats by itself sucks... Seems not binded to lomac itself but all UBI rooms have chatt disable... Also UBI seems to crash often... (old news, but still remains)

Keep the faith, I reckon & hope that they are already aware and working on a resolution. ED never did let us down so far. Cheers

Humm... Guess and hope 1.12a will do the trick... Keep up the good work. I'm still addicted after 2 years of Lomac sky's... Cheers

True, your answer does not please me or answers a real resolution. But thanks for your input though :D Cheers

Something is up with 1.12 with trackIr i reckon. My new toy even though the blue led light is enable when I go into lockon. It's not responding. Initially as per the txt file of 1.12. I did remove both files in question. It worked. After a few match. It stops responding again.... I had to re delete the files in question to re make it work. Now this tells me. Something is up with that. 1st. Why remove the files in questions...I know it works. My request is why?... Is it not a just quick fix, not addressing the issue at the source? Did ED requested assistance with Natural point on this. And hopefully a fix... 2nd. Why did I have to remove a second time to regain trackIr control... Can either ED or Natural Point answer either these logical question? If a logical source of issue has been identified to tell users to remove the files in question. Then can a fix be put in place… What is in the file that it makes it so incompatible in the first place. Why would you need the user intervention to remove it manualy... I usually would not ask. But due that I had to re delete both files AGAIN to regain trackIr control. Then I have to pursue a request on how and why logically this is happening... By the way I’m using a trackIr 3 Pro with vector expansion… Fresh install of FC. I'm I the only one having weird behavior with trackIr since 1.12? Cheers all. Thanks in advance for your responses. PS, I'm not posting it in the bug thread, due that I dont have enough details or validation on it to be one. Just questions at this point...

Took me and hour or so to figure that one out before this was posted. Should be made a sticky for sure, to eliminate that wasted time for others.;) -

Clouds Texture Corruption with Latest Nvidia Drivers
Kindred replied to 's topic in Bugs and Problems
Heat blur usually disable due that I usually fly in cockpit / Ace settings, and it gives me more FPS. Your issue is not new to me. At the time, my issue was “Overclocking”. I had exceeded my threshold. Also alt-tab was always a pain for this. I concur, it might not be in your case though. I recommend you check your core temp in the Nvidia settings. Besides this, is the issue always apparent on your rig? Or does it happen after few hours of game flight? Your computer is it always on? Dust on your fans? Your power supply is adequate? Always go with the process of elimination. If I can be in any assistance let me know. Cheers -
Clouds Texture Corruption with Latest Nvidia Drivers
Kindred replied to 's topic in Bugs and Problems
Not sure if this is really a bug, Got a Nvidia BFG 6800GT and I dont have any cloud corruption whats so ever on my rig. Maybe your card is over heating or you might be due for a cleanup for dust. It might be also defect. Just a thought... rule #1 when installing new drivers, make sure you use some type of app like dirvercleaner to remove your old traces of drivers. To often I've seen that was the source of any tearing issues, this and overclocking... Also, you might want to check your driver display settings. Try Negative LOD bias to clamp instead of allow. Might help. Cheers -
Flaming Cliffs does not startup consistently
Kindred replied to aeross60's topic in Bugs and Problems
If this issue is related to firewall... Anyone knows what port, tcp or udp starforces uses? -
It happen while flying in the 504 server, after that I got shot down, respawned, spooled up, then it crashed. I'll have to make a habbit of recording tracks when flying. Will keep you posted if it ever happens again. By then hopefully I'll have a track to show. PS: my lomac is fresh install. 1.00 to 1.10 to 1.12, no mods, mod manager not yet installed. I flew again after, issue did not re appear. So hopefully it was just a fluke. Cheers

 Hopefully it will not happen to often...
