  1. Never mind... What I missed was the ASP. Mode needed to be on missiles and the weapon mode needs to be neutral. Hopefully this can help others.
  2. Hey guys.. So after having spend hours reading, watching videos, trying and double checking everything, the plane just won't let me drop bombs. (Fab-100 etc) It is no problem during the tutorial.. Same as my startup, it's is identical to the tutorial. So, I start her up, double check everything, get everything ready to drop bombs, select the stations, arm them and so on.. When the piper shows up on the dive, all I get is a click sound but no drop. I am missing something obvious but I just can't figure out what.. Anyone else with the same issue who found what they did wrong? Also, jettison the bombs doesn't seem to work with the drop payload buttons?
  3. If the real life MiG has such a heavyduty landing gear, designed for really poor runways - I don't want to see this DCS MiG on a really poor runway.... I sure hope they give us a comment on this someday, or tweak it, just a bit..
  4. Haha I remember someone anticipating this exact topic somewhere before the release.
  5. Holy crap you guys are mean to the girl.. I flew the same plane for 4 hours yesterday, testing it out, learning the systems, landing, refueling, taking off, all about 6 or 7 times. No damage at all. I actually had a pretty realistic experience. A buddy of mine threw a nuke, I was a good distance away but I heard the pressurewave striking my plane. The plane flew fine for another landing and takeoff, no apparent damage as I was at a real far and high distance away from the blast. So didnt think much of it.. Until I 30 minutes later slowly started to loose power over 5-10 minutes, I ended up flying allmost at a constant stall even with afterburner, my nosegear didnt want to come up after I missed my first emergency landing approach (no touchdown) so It really felt like something in the engine was affected from that previous blastwave, and slowly degraded over time. I pulled all emergency wheel handles, landed the bird okay, but a bit to fast. Parachute just went poof when I deployed it (must have been going around 400 kmt I think), so off the runway, bouncy bouncy aaaaand fireball. All in all, pretty cool experience in DCS. Only thing Im still a bit iffy about is that wierd sideways jumpyness on takeoff.. Just feels wierd.
  6. Thanks for the kind words guys, appreciate it.
  7. Royal Danish Air Force 3x Liveries. Download waiting for approval on frontpage. Download link until then. Enjoy, and let me know if there's errors anywhere.
  8. Download link when completed.. Need a few more details, fairly simple though, and rondels needs to be a little bigger and replaced, so tomorrow I think its done. :) Here is another version of it without the colors on the tail and front, and with lightgrey matte areas, including the belly and some of the wing underneath. Both used on the f-86D version from Aalborg. EDIT: Image and video updated. Everything fixed, gonna bugtest a bit today and release tonight. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f383/Phantom726/Billede165_1.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f383/Phantom726/Billede143_1.jpg http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f383/Phantom726/Billede106_1-1.jpg
  9. Okay okay, I think we have established it is the sun guys ^^ Good comparison Mainstray, you can clearly see the similarities on the tail. But yeah, still nice vid. I like how it dives inverted in real life aswell, not only in DCS :) Wonder if the pilot will ever know how close he was of being hit.
  10. Great video Ralfi, I enjoyed that!
  11. Just saw this one. Interesting dive, and close call, but besides that - is that an orange Mig-21? Interested to know if that is some sort of acrobatic plane being used as fighter now. As far as I know they usually are in a green/desert camo pattern livery.
  12. Nah, as Im aware of, steam just have some strict rules about stuff being released through them. They need to know a date, and they need to know it x. amount of weeks/months in advance.
  13. Here's a bit of comparison from outside views.. Look here.. Now look here.. (4:05) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCZIdloZu8g&feature=player_detailpage#t=245 And finally and especially.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=TC6mE5bNwI8#t=47 I have not seen that extreme jitter like the DCS version, in any RL mig-21 movieclip. It will be interesting to see what the final version will come up with. But they look very smooth on takeoff in real life.
  14. First of all, thanks skatezilla for the awesome job on the Template. Amazing job. Here's a danish skin I'm working on.. Damn the tailstriping got me sweaty. I could use some advice on what to do in order to get the default DCS numbers on it? Right now there is nothing.
  15. I still think it looks overdone. Like there is a bit too much mass moving too fast from one side to another. That vid when seen outside from the exterior, it looks like the Mig doesnt wheigh anything while doing it. But I dont know really, I should trust you guys.. ^^ But nice video. Dude knows what he is doing!
  16. In most cases, I would agree. But imagine being used to sit in a real Mig-21.. Now you get a few bucks for explaining how it is, and to evaluate on a pc game version of your kick ass job.. I imagine it would be very easy to exaggerate a bit when you go from Mig-21 to computer. I'm sure it jitters. It makes sence a plane like the mig 21 doesnt know which way to go when lift is beginning to be generated at the low speeds. But I agree that something about it seems off in the game. I think it looks unatural with the speed it shifts from one side to another. But I'm sure a lot of it from youtube vid's right now might be because people want to lift the nose too soon.. And yes, it's still in development. But it's in its final phases, and it's a good thing that people notice stuff like this and gets a debate going..
  17. Dont open your warthog unless you absolutely have to heh! The nail is embedded in the glue. - Not touching anything
  18. What the hell. Nice catch with the nail! There is a freaking nail in there!! It doesnt touch anything though so I dont think it's the cause. Pilotasso, Im not sure you fixed this. It's not the same error you have had but something similar. I will allmost garantee you my problem is not something you can solve with software. There is another "common" occurance that wipes the firmware from the MB on either the joystick or throttle also due to voltage fluctuations which I think is what most people will experience. Mine just took the full jump I guess. This can be reset by holding down Brake horn silencer and A/P engage button down while connecting it to the usb. This will reset the unit completely, forcing windows to recognise the unit or something like that. In order to install a new firmware, the unit must be recognised by windows in the first place. http://ts.thrustmaster.com/faqs/eng/thr_eng_00140.pdf
  19. Hmm, that do sound wierd. And nope, that is actually the one thing I havent tried. I allways thought of usb hubs to be the most unsafe thing to use when it comes to stable currents and what not. In fact, TM specifically asked me if this problem happened when pluggin it to a HUB or directly to the PC. They did not advise me to try plugging it into a hub. But yeah, thanks that might help someone in the future and good luck on keeping it alive hehe
  20. Hi guys. I promised a few guys to share my progress and story on this, so here it is. After a few years with my trusty warthog (purchased 2012-07-02 exactly) it decided to die on me. Just one of those quick standart days where you need to rearrange your wires behind the PC and need to disconnect the USB. Apparently, the warthog is not a big fan of that... When I reconnected it, it quickly blipped all the green lights and turned them off again at an instant, instead of keeping them lit. :helpsmilie: So I tried everything there is to try, again and again like a crazy person, and ended up contacting thrustmasters.. All in all, the error was that windows didnt recognise the USB device at all. They had a few options I could try, but nothing I hadnt done my self. So all in all, there was nothing to do and the diagnose was what I feared the most. The mainboard on the throttle was fried. Yet another fail from TM on this expensive but cheap made piece of......... (Because amongs other things, apperantly this is quite a cheap and easy fixing by putting a condensator on the usb power before it reaches the mainboard) After a few days of emailing back and fourth, they chose to give me a great offer I couldn't refuse. They would send me a new mainboard for 48,8 euro. So, the fact that they are selling these as spare parts, tells me they are aware of this issure and know it is happening. As far as I could read on google searches I was not the only one with this issue. But I'll be a good boy today and thank them for their excellent support. Which I really mean, the email support was great and fast. So, picture time of my disassembly. Please note, what you are about to see is not because of mis-use. I have treated this puppy with care it's hole life. What I see when first opening it up. Right. So the plastic they decided to keep this heavy piece of equipment together with, can't tolerate to be unscrewn without breaking into pieces? The plastic is very brittle! The left one is my trying to glue it. I need to redo that. Close up MB: Glue removed and unplugged the pluggies: The MB underneath: The only spot that's welded to the MB. with the USB cord. I dont think the new one will ship with an attached cord. Also, interestingly there is to identical plates in the bottom of the thottle casing. The toolmarks on the holes is NOT made by me, and is only visible after dissasembly. All the fatty greasy stuff is leftover silicone or something from the throttles I think. ...Also.. Knee ^ I must say, I dont hate the warthog, and I enjoy flying with it.. But I am a bit dissapointed by the quality on the insides. What keeps it from frying the MB again some day in the future?.. I do consider selling this when repaired and get something else due to the fear of it going out again. That's it. I'll keep you updated when I recieve the spare part from TM, and hopefully I can assemble it again without all the rest of the holes for the screws goes pouff.. Luckly the TM is so heavy and stationary at my place so it will work out no matter.
  21. Thanks for the video, and thanks for that signature. What an amazing little useful app!
