And at the current rate in October I can celebrate 1 year of not getting the promised P-51 keys. Yay!

Mediterranean Theater of Operations

Sicily - Malta - North Africa ... bring them on! MAC P.S.: only learned after taking on this nick that it used to stand for Mediterranean Air Command in WWII, located in Malta :) -
please make the "auto rudder" a server set option
MACADEMIC replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in DCS Wishlist
+1 for making this optional for the server host. It's definitely a big advantage to always fly ball centered automatically, it has to be up to the host to allow or disallow on his server. MAC -
Nearly another month gone by and no word about it. Can I please have those P-51 keys now, promised for October last year? MAC
-
Hey Luthier, Still no email with keys. What's the status of the system? MAC
-
Accepted, sir! Not to chicken out of this, but it will need to wait until new hardware is in place. Meanwhile you just keep practicing killing me quickly and efficiently when the time comes! :joystick: MAC

Would have made a nice little compensation for the slight delay... MAC

How about the digital 'shipments'? My selection of 4 DCS World P-51Ds says 'accepted', but where to find the serial keys? Thanks, MAC

A duel seems in order... :D MAC

Because, you are one! :) MAC

Good one! Now that I was able to select the DCS World P-51D as extra (which was accepted) - how do I get it? Doesn't show anywhere on my account page or elsewhere on the digitalcombatsimulator.com website. Thanks, MAC

Nice to see so many comments here trying to explain the state of things, but the one person/company who really could and should isn't anywhere to be seen. That's the real issue here. Some have backed on the basis of very concrete promises, which as yet remain undelivered. Probably a good thing nobody went for the $10.000 reward which included a day and evening with the team in Moscow (flight and visa not included). The way things are going, most likely nobody would have ever shown up. MAC

Chivas suspects that people who haven't got their rewards aren't even backers and are just trolling. You're claiming that communication attempts with RRG constitute harassment. What would allow you such unique insights? Are you in direct contact with RRG? RRG has never replied to any of my attempts to reach them, which were always polite. They haven't communicated on their own forum since October. They have certainly never sent me the DCS P51D keys I was counting on to gift to friends for Christmas and birthdays, which was mostly why I backed the Kickstarter with $250. There are plenty of genuine claims from people who supported this project for their own reasons. All have kept their side of the deal, but RRG (so far) hasn't. If you want to make excuses for them, fine, but blaming the backers is taking it too far. MAC

Great cockpit! MAC

It's not that he didn't sell his product to me, I funded with $250 when he introduced the digital matrix that promised DCS World P51 keys in October. He sold all right, but didn't deliver. But yeah, why would you expect someone to stick to their side of a deal? :wallbash: MAC

Erratic communication, to say the least. The campaign is not an identical copy, whoever set it up put work into it and knew his field. Wouldn't be surprised at all if this campaign wasn't just another half-baked (for another word) attempt by Mr Shevchenko. Have any of the paypal backers heard even a word from him yet? MAC

questions from Luthier on the 190
MACADEMIC replied to 9.JG27 DavidRed's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
But couldn't you tell him this yourself in your weekly skype team discussions? - oh, wait. Scrap that. MAC -
There's no hydraulic system on the FW190-D9, therefore no boosted controls. Gear is actuated electrically and indicated both electrically and mechanically. Regarding controls (translation by me): FW190 D-9 Airplane Handbook Part 0 General Information (Status October 1944) Issue November 1944 Page 6: Chapter 3. Fuselage … d. Steering Mechanism Elevator and ailerons are operated with the flight control stick, the rudder with pedals. Control movements are actuated with rods, corresponding-pulls and steering wires. A differential in the elevator control changes the transmission ratio, keeping elevator control forces small. For rudder control, instead of a differential, a lever shaft is fitted (without change of transmission ratio). Stabiliser trim and flaps are operated electrically. A parallel flap operation is not warranted, but when selected position is reached the installed off-delay timers turn power off. MAC P.S.: have a bit of respect for yourself, and the people who have and are supporting your project - it may be easier to get help in the future

I know, this was rude. Sorry, meant to be a joke. Would have gone for it if I knew for sure there was no affiliation with RRG. MAC

Fixed this for you. MAC

Ran into an almost identical scam on Kickstarter. Promised DCS World P51 keys as a reward. Took the money, disappeared, never delivered. Beware. MAC
